The fourth main area in Kotama and Academy Citadel is the Aerospace Academy, which you can visit after defeating The Decomposer in the Biology Academy.
From important items to upgrades, this guide will provide you with a detailed walkthrough of the Aerospace Academy.
Table of contents
Entering Aerospace Academy

Once The Decomposer is defeated, head to the far left area of the Biology Academy. There, drop down the ledge at a dead end.
This path will lead you to the Aerospace Walkway; keep dropping down from the platforms. At the bottom, Elaine awaits Kotama, who invites them into the Aerospace Academy.

Unlike all the former areas, this Academy uses teleporters from one end to the other. As soon as you enter the Academy, defeat the first pufferfish enemy and use the teleporter below.

In the next room, there’s a breakable wall to find the hidden teleporter that leads towards the left area of the Academy. Break the available locks to unlock more doors for exploration. Skip the left area and keep moving right.

Aerospace Academy Arcadia Station

After entering the Aerospace Academy, the initial teleporter cannot be accessed. To counter this, move towards the right side as mentioned above, and unlock the Arcadia Station.
With this, you can seamlessly travel to previous areas and explore any room that has been missed. Additionally, use the three Temporalis received from the Decomposer boss fight by talking to Nito.
Exploring Particle Collider

Particle Collider is the intersection of the Aerospace Academy, giving access to further rooms. In the upper middle area, talk to Pamirs to understand the surroundings.

There’s a breakable floor on the bottom left of the area. Jump down from Pamirs’s platform and use Whip Hammer’s heavy attack mid-air to break it; you will find Luminite chunks there.

Keep exploring the rooms to the top right of Particle Collider. In the second room, use Whip Hammer’s heavy attack to break two breakable floors to open teleporters for another Luminite room.
Aerospace Academy Map Location

To locate the Aerospace Academy map, follow the available path in Particle Collider. After dropping down a ledge at the bottom left, jump down the platforms and turn right.
It’s going to be a bit tricky to dodge the lasers while jumping over temporary platforms; use double jump and dashes to go over them. In the next room, you will find the new academy map.

Unlocking Shortcut to Particle Collider
A shortcut from the map room area to the Particle Collider can be unlocked. Go right after locating the map, and use the Dark Orb to skip the challenging platforming section immediately.

Stay alert as numerous strong foes await Kotama in the next room. Either skip them by using the Traction Rings and wall jumps, or take the battle head-on.
Follow the path, and hit the lock to open the shortcut to Particle Collider.

Liquefy Ability Location
From the Map Room, the bottom rooms in the Particle Collider can be explored. From the shortcut to Particle Collider, return to the previous room and drop down the ledge to use a teleporter.

Follow the path and cross the platforming section, leading you to a time-locked door. Use the Whip Hammer’s light attack from a distance on the lock until the door has enough space for you to slide in.

After the locked door, you will reach the lower parts of the Particle Collider. Unfortunately, only the room at the far left is available to explore for now.
Defeat all the enemies, including a doppleganger-enemy of the checkpoint sign and pass through another time-locked door. However, this time it’s accessible after a small platforming sequence, which should be done quickly before the door closes.

Don’t drop down the ledge in the next room. Instead, climb up the platform on the right and prepare to battle Warp-Speed Fighter

Battling it can be tricky due to its warping nature and fake attacks, but considering the boss only has three moves, it can be beaten via trial and error.
To acquire Liquefy, head into the next room after beating the boss and visit the CHRONOLOCK room to unlock the ability. With this, you can access numerous rooms locked behind safety nets.

Artificial Gem Location

One of many Artificial Gems can be discovered in the Aerospace Academy. To find it, return to the Warp-Speed Fighter room and use the Liquefy ability to cross the safety net to your left.
Don’t drop down completely; go through the subtle-appearing net to your right. Complete the platforming section to find and beat an enemy that drops the Gem.
Unlocking Shotcut to Arcadia

From the CHRONOLOCK room, move right and use Liquefy to find a shortcut that directly leads to the Train Station. Additionally, a Chronoshell upgrade can be found, which increases Kotama’s maximum health.
Connecting Aerospace Academy to Central District
With a handful of abilities unlocked, you can now unlock the path that connects Aerospace Academy and Central District. From the Train Station, move right and revisit the top left room of the Particle Collider.
Continue moving to the intersection that leads to the map room. Instead of jumping down from the temporary platforms, slide to your right to find a secret room.

Use the Dark Orb to skip the platforming sequence ahead immediately. Enter the room to your right by jumping over the Puffer Fish; the room will be full of enemies.

Lastly, don’t climb all the platforms and turn left in the middle to unlock the pathway that leads to the Central District.
Tastes Like Wax Memocard Location

To find one of the most potent Memocards in the game, use the map screenshot above to find its location accurately. After completing a few platforming sequences, you will be rewarded with the memocard.

Interstellar Probe Engineering Memocard and Secret Boss Location
The Interstellar Probe Engineering Memocard is hidden behind a secret boss fight in the Aerospace Academy. From the Laboratory, return to the above room and turn right to find a checkpoint.

Despite acquiring the map, some rooms in the area are not highlighted. Head into the next room and battle against the Mag-Dust Warrior. The easiest way to beat the boss is to parry its attack continuously and wait for an attack window.

Repeat the process until it is defeated. For the Memocard, move right after the fight and hit the Kiosk to unlock it.
EDI and Eliane Boss Fight

Now that you’ve explored almost the entirety of Aerospace Academy, it’s time to head towards the main boss of the area. From the Particle Collider, head to the bottom-most section and visit the far-right area by using Liquefy.
Additionally, you can use the objective location on the map to find it. Out of all the other boss fights, EDI and Eliane are the biggest snags in your path.
Unexplorable Rooms
The Aerospace Academy consists of only two unexplorable rooms. One of them is locked behind a 18% vote requirement, and the other can be opened in the later parts of the game, with a new ability.

With Liquefy and Tract abilities, always remember to return to the previous areas (Central Station, Art Academy, Biology Academy) to explore the remaining rooms.
