Chapter IV: The Courage to Inspire
Reporting to Lady Bugga
Our first objective in Chapter 4 is to report to Lady Bugga, so let’s do just that. Head into Central Plaza for a new cutscene.
After the cutscene, head to the Wing Hotel in North Plaza. Go up to Lady Bugga’s room on the top floor and talk to her.
She’ll give you two objectives: to investigate the Demon Ruins and to help Toro in any way you can. We’ll leave the Ruins investigation to Chapter 5 and focus on Toro in this chapter’s walkthrough.
The Fake Ticket Scam
Head back down to the hotel lobby and interact with the crowd of Toro fans.
Next, head out back to Central Plaza and enter the Stadium.
Talk to the shady guy next to the desk, who’s wearing an overcoat and a Diablo shirt. Ask him where he got his ticket, then ask him about the dark market.
When he asks you who you’re cheering for, answer with ‘Diablo’. If you choose anything else, tell him that you’re not a fan of Toro or Bison, and then choose ‘Diablo’.
This will net you the secret to accessing the black market. You can also learn this by fulfiling the ominous package delivery for the soul in the Long Boot Bar. You should do this regardless, as it nets you a Black Pearl.
Head to East Plaza now and enter the Long Boot Bar. Talk to Boots behind the counter and ask for the Secret Drink, then mention that it’s called Lights Out. You’ll have to pay 8 pearls for it.
Head east towards the ‘restroom’ and bring up your inventory. Examine the bottle of ‘Lights Out’ and you’ll find a strange expiration date on it.
Interact with the door that requires a password and enter the code 113300 into it. You will have to enter this code every day that you try to enter the dark market.
Approach the counter and check what’s in stock. If you have the pearls, you should definitely buy the Plaza Stamp, and also the Hot Night Mask, which will speed you up without needing to drink hot sauce.
When you’re ready, buy the Wrestling Event Ticket. Now head out of the bar and go east to find… her again.
Buy the ticket from her for 6 pearls.
This ticket looks obviously fake, so Toro might be interested in it.
Rest until the evening and go to West Plaza. Go up the slope to the spot above the Wing Union HQ. Toro is surveying the area from there, so go talk to him.
Talk to Toro thoroughly, and mention you’ve found evidence. Show him the ticket.
Toro’s Sidekick
Afterwards, rest until nightfall and head to the Stadium via Central Plaza again. Talk to the bouncer to the left of the reception desk and head in.
Go east to the trailer that you formerly visited, and talk to the guard outside it, then enter the trailer.
Toro will ask you for your sidekick name – choose any name, but remember it for later.
Once you’re in the ring, your goal is to make the Excitement meter go up. If you let it fall to zero and fail two more times, you will have to retry the next day all the way from showing Toro the fake ticket.
To make the Excitement meter go up, answer with “You’re on!”.
Then, in the actual fight, keep avoiding Toro’s attacks by rolling all around the ring. When he’s exhausted, roll into Toro to attack him.
Toro will ask you to name the move you just did: choose any option, but remember it for later.
Next, answer with “You speak too soon. Toro…” and in the fight, repeat what you did earlier.
For the next prompt, answer with “Glory to Diablo!” and fight again. This time, you’ll have to avoid the Ballistic Bull move – just be sure to roll out of the way when Toro’s eyes sparkle.
Next, answer with “It hurts!” and fight again. This time, take a hit from Toro and answer with “Ouch…”.
After the fight is over, enter Toro’s room and then exit it after the conversation inside.
Toro’s Whistle
You’ll get the Toro Whistle, so try it out by using it. Then, examine the whistle to take off the Toro whistle cover. The whistle still doesn’t work, so we’ll need to find someone who knows a thing or two about whistles.
That someone is the train engineer Dob. Head out of the hotel and go to the train station. Talk to Dob here and mention the whistle.
Now go to West Plaza and into the Wing Union HQ. Talk to the bird behind the counter and mention the whistle, then show them the whistle order.
This whistle is in working order, so combine it with the Toro whistle cover to make a new Toro Whistle.
Exit the Wing Union HQ and rest until the next day.
Head back to Plaza to watch a new cutscene. After the cutscene, rest until evening and head up to the stadium area from the left side to find Phani.
Ask about Toro in detail and after you’re done talking, use the Toro Whistle from your inventory.
After the conversation, rest until nighttime.
The Second Night
At night, enter the stadium and talk to the bouncer at the left. Show him your VIP ticket to enter further.
Head straight in to enter the main arena and watch the event.
After the event, exit the arena from the eastern gate and go to the trailer.
Show the bouncer your VIP ticket and enter the trailer.
After the conversation inside the trailer, head back out and exit through the one-way door. Follow Toro into the tunnel.
Talk to Toro in the tunnel and after the conversation, immediately ram into him while rolling.
After the cutscenes, enter the hotel and rest on a sofa until tomorrow.
The Trap
Head back to Central Plaza for a new cutscene, and then make your way back to the hotel. Go up to Lady Bugga’s room.
In the elevator, you’ll meet the evil entity. Here, if you choose the wrong option, you’ll get an instant game over.
Answer with “Why are you doing this?”, then “Do I have another choice?”, and finally, “…”.
Once up, talk to Lady Bugga and then exit her room. Rest at the sofa until the evening and re-enter Lady Bugga’s room.
Talk to Lady Bugga about the plan.
Once the plan is in motion, explore Plaza until you find Diablo. Then, quickly roll to where the X spot is (in front of the tunnel in Central Plaza). Diablo will chase you through areas, so attracting him once is enough.
After getting him on the X spot, a couple of cutscenes will play. After these, head into the Wing Hotel and go to the fourth floor (Toro’s floor).
Enter through the double-doors and go right to find Bison’s room. Use Diablo’s Key from your inventory on the locked door.
After the conversation, head west to talk to Phani at Toro’s room. This will culminate in the finale for this chapter.
Chapter 4 Finale
In this fight, first answer with whatever sidekick name you chose for yourself earlier. Answer with the same name for the second question. For the third prompt, answer “Agga-Bugga”.
This will start the actual wrestling match with Diablo. Note, however, that if you run into the turnbuckles surrounding the ring, you’ll raise Darkness a little.
Follow the same strategy as before – avoid his attacks by rolling around, avoid his charge attack by rolling right when his eyes shine, and finally, ram into him when he’s exhausted.
After this, answer Diablo’s question with whatever you called the move during your bout with Toro. Answer the next question with “Wow”.
A couple of cutscenes later, enter the hotel and go left into the fire escape. Use the Hotel Stairs Keys to enter through the one-way door.
Go to the area to the far left to find a fire extinguisher. Grab it and use it on the fire that’s blocking the staircase.
After this, quickly move left to avoid Wow’s fist attack. Go up the stairs now to the third floor, all the while avoiding Wow’s fist attacks.
Once on the third floor, re-enter Toro’s room to resume the bout.
Answer Diablo’s questions with: “I found the scammer” and “By kicking your butt!”. Then, ‘fight’ Diablo again with the same strategy as before.
This time around, Diablo will have rotating lasers around him when he’s exhausted. Dodge the lasers while ramming into him.
Next, answer “Bison cares about you”, “Bison will probably know”, and finally, “Magenta”.
After the cutscenes, rest at a bench until tomorrow to conclude this chapter.
