Chapter 7: FEAR: A study (Contd.)

As Ben, return to where the hot sunlight is and just stand by it. You’ll notice that the cube of corpses is passing into space now. When the cube eclipses the sun, the hot sunlight will disappear, allowing you to walk right.

If you don’t pass the window during the eclipse, you will have wasted your chance. Then, you need to switch to Dan again and create another cube of corpses using the tractor. Thankfully, Dan can now take the shortcut upwards from the airlock to both reach the tractor and bring the cube back down.

As Ben, once you’re on the other side of the window, pick up the lollipop to proceed. Go right until you find the ‘Thruster Controls’. Wear your glove and then use the thruster controls.

As Dan, return to the big rocket. Remember that you can now use a shortcut upwards from the airlock and bypass the monsters entirely. Use the Harrowing Door along the way.

One at the rocket, jump on the triangular portion just above where it says “CM-1138” and then onto the higher platform. From here, go up and then right until you find a shaft going downwards that contains scary red biological masses.

Get down the shaft, avoiding the monster to the side, and you’ll eventually be able to talk to Ben again. As the shaft leading to Ben is blocked by ice, you need to first melt it before you can proceed.

Stand on the button to the right of the shaft leading downwards to open a hatch in the wall. Let go of the drone now.

As Ben, return to the console (use the Unsettling Door) and control the drone. Bring it all the way through the shaft that Dan opened up, back to the floor with the thruster controls. Just after reaching that floor, you’ll find a set of three triangles pointing downwards, located to the right of the drop. Position the drone there.

Now take control of Ben again and use your inventory to combine the mop head with the holo-spanner. This will make the holo-spanner nice and shiny, and most importantly: reflective.

Go back down to the lower floor via the Unsettling Door and use the shiny holo-spanner with the hot sunlight.

As Dan, move through the now-melted path and drop down to the floor Ben is at. Now that the two are reunited, move them to the right and use the two switches. Remember that you can piggyback Ben!

Switch back to Ben once you’re past the metal door. Use the science backpack on Dan to have him equip it. Now switch to Dan and run right into the coven of ghosts. Keep jumping up the platforms and running so that you’re right in the centre of the swirling circle of ghosts. If you do it right, you’ll hear crackling and the ghosts will be drawn closer and closer.

Ultimately, you’ll have just an Old Lady on the floor. Bring Ben up to talk to her. After the conversation, pick up the tech that’s lying on the floor.

This is a Teleport Trigger Device. Use the strip of duct tape with it to fix it and you’ll have access to an excellent new ability: teleport.

As Dan, move right and jump up the black-silhouetted obstacles to reach the upper platform with the button and lever. Then switch to Ben and press the teleport button to move Ben to Dan’s position. Use the button and lever as Dan and Ben respectively.

This ends the level! (Or does it? Keep watching to find out!)
