Little Nightmares 3 Walkthrough – Carnevale

There are a total of four chapters in Little Nightmares 3, which is a bit less than given its hype. However, it is set to have more content with Secrets of the Spiral Expansion. The DLC does not have a release date yet it is expected to be released soon.

That said, the four chapters are pretty long, especially the third one. After interacting with the mirror in the second chapter, you are in for a long ride now, as the next chapter is the longest one. It also features many complicated puzzles, but fret not. Here, I will provide you with a thorough walkthrough on how to complete Little Nightmares 3, Chapter Three, Carnevale, with ease.


Little Nightmares 3 Chapter Three Carnevale Walkthrough

Once the cutscene ends, proceed your way to the left and open the door by jumping with the help of your companion. Enter the room, and the nome will hide in the drawer just ahead. Open that drawer, and the nome will run away to the right. Jump on the table to the right and then jump on the sofa. Keep jumping on it until the nome comes out and runs to the left.

Now, the nome is hidden at the top midsection of the area. So, get up on the table and you will notice the bottle/vase shaking at the topmost shelf. Use your bow to break it, and the nome will run away again. It will try to run away by climbing the ladder you can’t access. However, as the nome jumps on the ladder, it will fall, so now you can climb it.

Now go left from the table, and you will notice a wooden object that can be pulled out. Along with your companion, pull it out, climb the table again, and then jump on the object. Now climb the ladder, and after that, go through the hole to your right. Keep going to the right side, and you will come in contact with the nome again.

Follow it to the next area and make your way down. When you are at the bottom, you will notice an open door to your left. Ignore that for now, go east (keep going east to get your first doll of the chapter), and head north. Then enter the room to your right and call Alone to smash to big button ahead. This will not only cause the nome to come out, but will also lighten up the room.

How To Activate The Elevator

The nome will also bring a fuse with him that you need to insert in the socket in the room I asked you to ignore. So, enter the room and insert the fuse into the socket at the top left side. Then, the elevator will be activated, so go inside. With the help of your partner, pull the lever down to activate the elevator.

Once you are at the top, the door will open, so get out and pick up the flashlight. You can equip it by pressing R3/RS. So, activate the flashlight, and you will notice a button to your left. Shoot the button with an arrow, and a short circuit will happen. Then, go to the right, and you will notice a lever at the northeast side.

Ignore it for now and keep heading east. Inside the room, you will notice two more statues. Right next to them will be a table, climb that, and then jump on the next platform to your right. Then, make your way ahead and let Alone smash the giant button again.

How To Solve The Button Puzzle

As Alone is smashing the button, you should pull the curtain to the right. Upon doing so hint to solve the puzzle will be revealed. This puzzle is pretty simple, as you have to shoot the correct small buttons with the arrows. The correct pattern can be seen at the right, but I will still tell you which one to shoot.

Let the first two beep, and when the third one beeps, shoot it. Do the same for the fourth one in the first row. Now ignore the first one in the second row, but shoot the second one. Then, ignore the third one and shoot the fourth one. After that, shoot the second and third ones last row to solve the puzzle.

After solving the puzzle, along with your companion, pull the lever down and then exit the room. Now go back to the lever I asked you to ignore previously. With the help of your companion, pull the lever down, and weird machinery will come upwards. Rotate it counterclockwise as much as you can see in the image above, and then climb to get to the one at the top right.

Make Your Way To The Top

Then, jump to the pathway to your right and start heading south. Then, enter the room to your right and keep going in that direction. To your right will be a wooden bookshelf-type thing. Climb on it to reach the top and then jump onto the bathtub hanging from the roof.

Then, jump on the chain to your left and make sure to grab it. Climb the chain to reach a wooden platform. Now, go across the other side at the end and enter through the passage to your right. There will be a doll, grab that, and go back to the other side. Now, there will be a path to your left. Head inside and keep going left. You will reach a dead end as the door will be closed.

With the help of your companion, jump and unlock the door. To the left, there is another doll you can find. After getting it, return, head north, and enter the room to your left. Then jump on the wooden objects and enter through the hole to your left. Once inside, keep going left and then head south. Eventually, you will come across another wooden object. Climb it and go through the window.

How To Find The Key To Unlock The Door

Once you are inside, you will notice a creepy, statue-like thing roped down to the large steel pipe. Approach the statue and it will start shouting. Use your bow to separate its head from the body, and let Alone do the rest. She will smash his head, and a key will come out. Pick up the key and the door to your left.

Keep going left, and eventually you will come across some wooden stairs. Go up, follow the path, and go inside the small space. Once inside, you will notice a large furnace. Grab the handle to pull down the steel cover and let Alone throw three coals inside. Then, you will notice a lever hanging on the left side. Jump and pull it down.

Then, on the right side, you will see a platform with a spring moving up and down. Jump on it when it is down and let it carry you up. Next, go left and jump onto the platform to the north when it comes down. After that, climb to the right, follow the path, and enter through the small hole.

Explore The Outside Area

Then, go south and enter through the small hole to your left. Keep going left, and you will find a doll at the end. Now, go back to where you came from and head north. Follow the pathway to the right and jump on the vertical wooden platform to the east.

Make sure to grab and climb it. Go up and then climb using the top to reach the top. Then, wait for your companion to come up and remove the plank together.

Where To Find The Key To Open The Door

After removing the plank, keep going right, and eventually you will reach a locked door (there will also be a lever on the wall ). Jump higher with the help of your partner to pull down the lever, and it will power up the place. Now go left and to the northwest side, where there will be a wooden platform hanging by a rope. Shoot the rope and climb the wooden platform.

After that, keep heading left and follow the pathway. On the northwest side, you will see a wooden object. Climb it and go through the window. Go left into the other room and jump on the platform ahead with the help of your companion. Then, go down and from the left side, push the object to the other side to make way for your partner.

After that, go to the northwest side and jump higher with the help of your companion. Then, jump and grab the key. It will fall down, so pick it up and go back to where the locked door is. Open the lock and head inside.

How To Defeat The Enemies

Once you are inside, head to the northeast side and climb the wooden object. Jump down to the next room, and the light will go out. Keep going left and enter the next room. As soon as both Low and Alone enter the room, it will be locked, and the enemy will attack you.

It is pretty simple to defeat this enemy. Shoot it with an arrow, and its head will be separated from the body. However, the enemy isn’t dead yet, so run away and wait for Alone to smash its head.

Now, defeating one is quite simple, but that’s not the case. Alone is super slow, so by the time you reach the fourth enemy, the third one is still alive, and as the new one’s head is still intact, it will be super fast is likely to catch you.

The trick here is to shoot the enemies as soon as they are on the ground. Also, always be on the opposite side of them. Do not be close to the window, as the last enemy comes from there. If you instantly shoot them, Alone will have enough time to kill an enemy before the next one arrives.

Jump Down Through The Trap Door

After defeating the enemies, there is a trap door on the east side of the ground. Jump on it simultaneously to all below. Then head south and crouch to go to the path to your right. Keep going ahead and then climb up. Follow the path to the right, and you will notice some wooden objects at the northwest side.

Climb them and enter through the window. Keep following the path, go down the stairs, and there will be some weird creatures. Ignore them and climb the shrouds (rope going up with the square pattern).

Reach the top and use the zipline to go to the other side. Drop down and you will make a safe landing. Now, along with your partner, go over to the cart at your left and drag it to the right. On the way, your cart will get stuck, and the creature on the right side will wake up. It will then approach the cart, so instantly go to the other side.

Once it starts eating, go around it and enter through the passage to your right. Keep going right, and you will fall into the hole in the ground. After that, climb the ladder just ahead, and some more enemies will be there.

Defeat More Enemies

Shoot both enemies ahead to separate their heads from their bodies, and just run. Let Alone destroy their heads, and when she is done, keep following the path to your right. With the help of your partner, jump and pull down the lever.

Then, continue going right. Shoot your arrow to make the hanging creature fall into the water. Once the lid is closed, climb onto it and then climb to your left. Head up the ladder, go right, and you will fall. With the help of your companion, move the dumpster to the north, then go through the small passage on the right. Now comes a very complicated part.

If you aggro the enemies ahead, you will have to restart no matter what, as there are too many of them. The best choice here is to stay stealthy. Crouch and keep moving south. Eventually, you will come across a space you can go through.

Do so, keep heading right, go up the stairs, and open the mail slot on the door with your companion’s help. After entering the room, drop down through the hole in the floor and go right. Now, you need to find a fuse to insert into the socket.

Where To Find A Fuse

Climb the objects on the northwest side, then go up the rope. Drop down, and at the top, you will see the fuse along with some bottles. Shoot the bottles, and the fuse will fall. Grab it, head south, and throw it through the open part of the door. Go ahead, pick up the fuse, drop down, and go left. Then, insert the fuse into the socket.

Now, go back and rotate the lever clockwise. Stop as soon as you see the light blinking and hold it in the position. You will also hear music, so hold immediately at that point. Your companion will then climb the wooden object and pull down the lamp with a hidden lever to open a secret area. Enter and climb to the top. Go right, use the zipline, and drop down at the end.

Prevent The Trap

Drop down again and go to the right side of the creature lying on the ground to the east. Climb onto it, do a short sprint, and jump onto the cupboard. Then, continue forward, but do not step on the pressure plate in the northeast corner, as it is a trap.

Instead, go right, drop down, and head straight. Ahead, you will notice a creature looking down from a broken path. Wait for it to move away, then proceed. Keep going forward and let Alone break the wooden door. Once she is done, enter, go right, and follow the path.

You will see a creature beating another one that is tied down, but ignore it and continue right. The path will be blocked. Press Triangle/Y to make a sound, and the creature will shift its focus from where the sound came from and will swing its weapon. As the enemy comes in that direction, run to the other side, and when it has opened the path for you, make a sound again. It will start moving toward the sound, so run to the other side.

How To Solve The Pop-Up Target Puzzle

Completing this puzzle will reward you with an achievement.

Keep going right, and you will come across another puzzle. This puzzle may seem a little confusing at first, as it appears without warning. However, it is actually quite easy. Steel plates will pop up, and you just need to shoot the correct ones.

There are two types of steel plates. One has red marks on it; this is the one you need to shoot. The other does not have any red marks and resembles an angry face wearing a hat. Avoid shooting that one.

Keep shooting the plates with red marks, and once you have hit them correctly nine times in a row, the puzzle will be completed. After solving it, go right, and you will see a well in the center. Jump and grab the lever, then wait for your companion to do the same.

After falling down, head right and pick up the doll. Keep moving right, climb the wooden platform, and when you reach a dead end, jump to the left side and continue climbing. You will reach another dead end, so climb to the right side and continue upward.

Ride The Cart Through The Carnevale

Keep going up and then follow the pathway to your right. Just ahead, you will see a cart, and a little cutscene will commence featuring Low sitting on the cart. Alone will push the lever to make the cart move. She will also instantly jump onto the cart, so enjoy the ride for a while.

When the cart stops, go to the right side and open the vent cover to your right. Inside the room, you will find a mirror, but it is not what you think. The chapter is not over because the mirror is broken. So keep going right, and you will notice some wooden crates on the northwest side.

Climb the wooden crate, then climb onto the platform above you. Climb again and you will reach the top. Jump on the box in front of you and slide down the object at the front. Keep going right, and eventually you will come across a green door that is locked.

Use Low’s bow to shoot the button on the wall to call for the lift. When the lift arrives, the door will open, so enter and pull down the lever inside to activate the lift. When the lift stops, go right and keep going until the path ends. Then go south and enter the room on the right.

Climb up the crate, go through the space, and keep heading east.

How To Escape The Monster

You will eventually reach a room with a monster sleeping on a sofa. Do not walk normally or sprint here. Instead, crouch and move slowly forward. If you walk normally or sprint, the monster will wake up, so you need to avoid that.

Keep crouching and move to the right side. Wait for your companion to arrive, then remove the plank together. As soon as you remove it, the monster will wake up, so go inside quickly and hide in the small space on the left side.

Distracting The Monster

Wait for the small monster to go away, then go right and hide inside the first object. When the small monster moves to the south side of the table, crouch and hide under that table. When the monster goes to the middle and starts banging the pan, move to the right while crouching, and with the help of your partner, pull down the lever to the north.

After that, instantly hide underneath the left side and stay in the crouching position. Once both monsters enter the room, exit through a small space to the left and jump on the table to grab the lever.

Next, head to the left room, put the lever back in its place, and rotate it. After rotating it for a while, run and jump through the passage you just unlocked.

After falling, go right and remove the vent cover. Then follow the path to the right. After crossing to the other side from the plank, go down the ladder. Make your way down and then open the vent to your left. Enter, follow the path, and pick up the doll. Then go back up and keep going right.

Keep Moving Ahead

Keep going, and you will notice steam coming out of a giant vent. Wait for the steam to stop, then immediately move in the other direction. Follow the path, and steam will be coming out of a pipe ahead. However, you cannot just pass through it; you need to move the small platform toward you using the lever. Use the lever to bring the platform closer, then wait for your partner to jump on it.

As soon as the steam stops, move the platform to the right. If you are a little late, wait for the steam to come out again. Once your partner reaches the other side, they will use the lever to send the platform back to you.

If you are playing in offline mode, this will not be an issue. However, if you are playing in co-op mode, ask your partner to time it carefully. Then keep moving right, and at the end of the path, climb the boxes to your north. It requires a bit of parkour, but it is not difficult. Climb to the top, go right, and enter through the small hole.

Escape The Monster

The monster will appear from the window to the north in Little Nightmares 3, Chapter Three, Carnevale.

Upon entering through the small hole, you will enter a room where the same small monster will appear. The monster will not appear immediately; you will have to stay still for a while because of the gas leaking.

The monster will come from the north side and fall on the steering, making it rotate. This will cause the gas to come out, so when you see this happening, start sprinting. Jump over the two obstacles and then time your slide carefully. After that, head south and do not be afraid to sprint across the plank.

After crossing the path, go right and head north into the elevator. The elevator will go up, but it is a trap because another monster will be waiting for you there. Now, a small cutscene will start featuring Low being captured. The little nome you chased at the start will also be there.

How To Escape From The Cage

As you are now captured, Alone will do all the work. You should fire an arrow to distract the monster, as then it will approach the cage. Taking advantage of the situation, Alone will head right and hide below the object the little nome is hanging from.

On the north side, there will be a lever; she will rotate it, causing the cage you are in to move to the right. When it stops, shoot an arrow to break the rope the little nome is hanging from. Once done, the nome will escape, causing the monster to chase it.

Then, Alone will climb the ladder and jump onto the cage. She will jump on the cage again, causing it to fall and break. Exit the room through the right side. Keep going right, and eventually you will reach the kitchen. Pass through the kitchen and then move the cage from under the table (someone will be trapped in it).

After that, go to the place where the cage was to unlock a secret passage. Keep going east, and in the room above, the monster will catch the nome and finish it. Go up, exit the room from the left side, and jump higher to climb the wooden crates with the help of your partner.

Then start climbing on the wooden platform, head left, and go over the plank. Then, make your way around the area and enter through the small passage to your right. Keep going ahead, and you will notice a lever. Jump on the crate to interact with it and rotate it.

By doing so, your partner will also be able to come up. Then open the door right next to the lever and keep going right.

How To Open The Locked Door

You will reach a room with a door to the north. Go right and hang from the rope to head down. Crouch and move behind the object on the right side. Then move to the next one and wait for your partner to arrive. After that, open the vent cover to the east together.

Upon entering the room, pull the lever on the right north side and then enter the elevator. Pull down the lever to start it. Once the elevator stops, get out. To the left, you will notice some objects. Climb on top of them and make your way through to the left. Keep going left, and at the end, jump and grab the rope.

After you reach the lowest point, fall down and make sure to keep crouching. Pick up the key, move to the south side, drop down, and continue crouching. Keep going right, enter through the vent again, and use the key to open the door to your right. After you unlock it, an alarm will be triggered, causing the monster to chase you.

Escaping The Monster Again

So, when the door opens, enter and run to the south. Then you will notice your partner climbing through the gap on the right. Do the same, continue sprinting, and jump onto the other platform. Next, climb the ladder, go right, and you will fall onto a pile of shoes.

Exit the room from the right side and instantly sprint to the north. Make sure not to delay, as the boss will enter shortly through the northern door. Keep heading south, and when you see a path to the right, follow it.

The boss will not be able to enter this area instantly, giving Alone enough time to smash the wooden door. Once she has smashed it, enter, go to the southeast side, shoot the button with an arrow, and then climb the object to get out.

Then head south again and enter the room to your right. After that, jump onto the hot air balloon and pull down the lever with the help of your partner. As you are rising, the small monster will jump onto the balloon as well. However, it will move toward the area from where the fire comes out, so quickly jump on the lever with your partner to burn the monster.

Ride The Hot Air Balloon

After burning the monster, a cutscene will be triggered featuring Alone and Low riding the balloon. However, lightning will strike the balloon, causing it to malfunction, and a different cutscene will start. The cutscene is in a different area (this is possibly a memory).

This cutscene will show Low jumping out of bed, throwing the pieces of paper into the trash chute, and then hiding underneath the bed. When the footsteps fade away, he will open the chute, and a doll (Alone?) will pop out. With this, Little Nightmares 3, Chapter Three, Carnevale, will conclude.
