Little Witch In The Woods Walkthrough – Restoring The Temple And Roy’s House In Act 1

Little Witch in the Woods

Little Witch in the Woods features Ellie, an Apprentice Witch, who has found herself in a Witch’s Hut, and near people who need her help. For more information on Little Witch in the Woods, visit its official Steam page.

After getting rid of most of the Prickly Vines that had ruined the village of Wisteria, Ellie managed to call Kyla back to the village. Now, it’s time to repair another house and the temple that had been inaccessible so far.

It’s Time To Rebuild Another House

After Kyla the Carpenter returns to Wisteria, it’s only a matter of time before we start rebuilding more of the village. You’ll have to talk to Enite first and then to Kyla, who’ll tell you that she needs the house blueprints and foundation materials from Ellie to start rebuilding Roy’s house.

Roy’s ruined house is right in front of Kyla’s, and it’s the only other house on this side of the village until you work towards repairing the bridge later on. Furthermore, Roy is someone you’d be familiar with because Ellie met him on the train to Highlion before it was stopped.

For the resources, you’ll have to gather 15 units of wood, rocks, and mud. The Blueprint for the Flower Shop can be purchased from Aurea in the village.

You’ll need some gold to purchase the Blueprints. You can earn gold by selling any unnecessary items to Aurea, or you can complete the candy quests to earn gold and buy the Blueprints.

A Forgettable Dream

As you go on about your daily life, Ellie will start to wake up and feel like she had an important dream, but can’t seem to have any recollection of it.

Around this time, the floor of your Witch’s Hut will also start to make more noises. But, for now, you don’t have to worry too much about it and keep focusing on collecting materials and spending your days.

You’ll get the keyword for A Strange Dream. You can talk to the villagers and Diane about it, but only Diane will give you a reasonable solution.

Kent From The Witch-Human Information Exchange Department

Kent, a new character, will also show up as you leave your house after obtaining the dream-related keyword. He claims to be from the Witch-Human Information Exchange Department and looks very suspicious.

Kent will ask you two questions. The first one will be about the name of the village that this Witch’s House manages, and the answer to that would be Wisteria.

After that, Kent will ask the number of residents in Wisteria. The answer to that is 4, not that Kyla has joined us, but still Kent will be surprised that the village had over 20 residents in the past.

It appears that Kent was unaware of what the Prickly Vines had done to the village in the last few years, and he will go alongside Ellie to pay a visit to the village to confirm whether what she said was true.

After you’ve finished your conversation with him, a short cutscene will appear when Kent will be suspiciously talking to himself.

Brewing The Dream Recollection Potion

After you’ve talked to Diane about the Strange Dream, she’ll add the Dream Recollection Potion’s limited recipe to the shop, and you can buy it from there for 15 Luna Coins.

The Dream Recollection Potion requires you to catch 2 Bluemoon Butterflies and 4 Pompom’s Tail Feathers.

For the Bluemoon Butterflies, you can catch them with a bugcatcher’s net at night in the Green Forest Plateau area.

Similarly, Pompom birds can be found active at night in the Green Forest Depths region. They’ll be chasing around Squash Bugs there. To get Pompom Tail Feathers, you’ll have to tiptoe behind them and then quickly interact with them using your gloves.

After you’ve gathered all the items, you’ll have to take them to the pot in the workplace and brew the potion.

Ellie will immediately drink the potion after crafting it, and then you’ll have to go to your bed to sleep.

The Dream

As soon as Ellie falls asleep, you’ll wake up in the dream. This place is dark, and it’s difficult to see a path, but you have to move upwards.

Keep heading up and you’ll reach the fully-blossomed Bitter Grape Tea Tree, and you’ll find a white cat here with a halo around its head. It’s the same cat that led you to the Witch’s Hut on the night the train stopped.

On conversing with the cat, it will tell you that it’s the White Cat God, the guardian deity of this village. It had been showing these dreams repeatedly to Ellie, only for her to forget.

Ellie will try to convince the White Cat God that she’ll remember the dream, but the cat doesn’t believe it, and Ellie starts over again.

Approach the cat again and talk to it. This time, the White Cat God will believe Ellie that she’ll remember the dream this time. The White Cat God tells Ellie that it was the one who had made the train stop that day, and caused Ellie to oversleep so that she would miss the train.

The guardian deity did all this to help the village, but despite not being able to remember the dream, Ellie managed to help out the village and got rid of the Prickly Vines all on her own.

The White Cat God then thanks Ellie for her help and informs her that the path leading north from the village towards the Temple has been restored, and she’ll be able to access that area now.

The Ruined Temple

There’s a path leading north next to Enite and Rubrum’s house in the village. If you take this path, you’ll enter a cave-like area.

Interact with the Witch Sigil on the ground to the left; it will make the bridge complete. If you go further from here, you’ll come out of the cave that’s right beside the Witch’s Hut.

However, to reach the temple, you have to go straight ahead. As you enter the ruined temple, Ellie will be too excited after seeing it, and shortly, Enite will make her entrance too.

You’ll have to talk to Enite, and she’ll tell you that the temple belonged to the Two Cat Gods. Ellie assures Enite that she’ll work towards fixing it to its former glory, and she’ll have to ask Kyla for help. You’ll get the keyword for Temple in Ruins that you can use to talk to Kyla.

Restoring The Temple With Kyla

It is recommended that you go and talk to Kyla about the temple at night, because it will take a full day for the restoration to be completed. If you do so at night, the Temple will be complete in the morning.

Talk to Kyla about the Temple in Ruins keyword, and she’ll agree to help and take Ellie to the temple immediately.

Kyla will ask Ellie to gather some rocks and put them in her cart. You have to pick at least three big rocks in her cart. You can find the two directly above Kyla, and one can be found towards the left side of the temple.

After you’ve put all the rocks in her cart, Kyla will take Ellie outside the temple. She’ll tell Ellie that the work will take a full day to complete. Note that you won’t be able to enter the temple during this time.

Fixing The Upper Floor

When you return to the temple the next day, you’ll find it mostly repaired. However, the upper floor will still be damaged, showing that the repairs have not yet been completed. Kyla will also arrive in the temple while Ellie is inspecting everything.

Kyla will ask Ellie to craft a Sticky Candy, as that would make it a lot easier for her to fix the remaining parts of the Temple.

Sticky Candy is a basic recipe, and you’d likely already have it. You need two Bluemoon Butterflies, two Witchflowers, and two Splash Carrots to craft it.

Bluemoon Butterflies can be obtained from the Green Forest Plateau, while the Witchflowers are found all over the Green Forest Plains and Plateau areas. For Splash Carrots, you’ll have to jump in the water in the Green Forest Waterfalls region and grab those from there.

Craft the Sticky Candy after obtaining all the materials and return to Kyla. She’ll be around her home.

The Prayer Stone

As soon as you give her the Sticky Candy, she’ll take Ellie to the Temple. After she has fixed most of the stuff, Kyla will ask Ellie to do something about the water flow. While the two of them are talking, Enite will join in.

To fix the waterway, there’s only one path leading to it, and due to the Prickly Vines, that path has been destroyed. Enite will give Ellie her Prayer Stone, asking her to find a way to fix the waterways.

The Prayer Stone has been passed down to every new chief of the next generation and holds faint magical traces. You’ll also get the keyword for it, so you can talk to the villagers to get more info on it.

If you talk to Arden about the Prayer Stone, he’ll tell you that you should look into old caves or near large trees.

There’s a dark and old cave in the Green Forest Waterfall region. You’ll need a Twinkle Twinkle Potion to get into it, but you won’t find anything useful there except a few chests.

It’s still recommended that you carry another Twinkle Twinkle Potion because you’re going to need one very soon. You’ll need the Silver Starbell Pollens and Tinkle Bell Spiders for it. The spiders can be found in the Green Forest Depth area.

You can gather the Silver Starbell Pollen by interacting with the glowing flowers and catching the pollen with a bugcatcher’s net at night.

However, you can still look near one large tree in this area, and that’s where the Bitter Grape Tea Tree is located on the summit. If you approach it holding the Prayer Stone, the platform in front of it will glow.

Waterway Puzzle

After Ellie interacts with the platform near the big tree, she’ll be teleported to another area called the Place of Promise. Here, you’ll find a strange puzzle. The rocks representing planets are placed in three orbits from the pedestal in the center of the room.

If you move a little ahead, you’ll find two stones with murals on them. The left stone tells you about the order of the planets that you have to arrange.

The other stone shows that you have to light yourself up using a potion on the pedestal to unlock the way forward.

You should put the yellow planet at the bottom orbit. Put the smaller white planet on the socket towards the bottom-right of the pedestal. The smallest red planet goes to the left of the pedestal on the closest orbit.

The blue planet goes directly to the right of the pedestal. The rock shaped like Saturn should go in the top-left socket, and the biggest planet-like stone should go to the top-right corner slot from the pedestal.

If you’ve done everything right, the stairs leading to the pedestal will unlock. Once you get up on the pedestal, drink the Twinkle Twinkle Potion, and the path forward will open up.

A strange memory box will also wash up next to the newly formed bridge. Pick it up and take it with you through the door ahead.

Waterway Finally Fixed!

As you pass through the door, you’ll have to go up the stairs, and you’ll immediately end up in the Temple. Enite will also be there.

Shortly, water will start to flow out from the Statues of the two Cat Gods, and it will spread out on the entire Temple grounds.

Ellie will then give the Memory Box to Enite. In return, Enite will agree to tell Ellie all about the temple. You can now interact with different parts of the temple, and Enite will tell you more about them.

After you’re done inspecting, talk to Enite again, and she’ll have a long conversation with you, thanking you for doing everything for the village.

The next time you sleep, you’ll see the Black Cat God at the Temple at night. The Cat God will shower the temple with its blessings, causing flowers and greenery to sprout all over the Temple.

Restoring Roy’s House

Now that we’re done with the temple, you can work towards fixing Roy’s House. Note that this is an independent objective from the Temple restoration, and you can complete it a lot earlier if you want to.

Head over to Kyla and deliver the required materials to her. You can gather a ton of branches from the trees in Green Forest Plains. For rocks, you’ll need a pickaxe to gather them efficiently. There are tons of rock deposits in the Green Forest Plains and Plateau areas.

For mud, you can head over the Green Forest Waterfalls or the Green Forest Depths with a shovel.

As you hand over the materials and the Blueprints for the Flower Shop to Kyla, she’ll say that she’ll start working tomorrow, and it will take a day to complete the house.

Welcoming Roy

After Kyla has started her work, all you have to do is wait. Pass the time in any way that you want, and on the second day, Rubrum will show up outside Ellie’s house in the morning to take her to the village.

As Ellie enters the village, she’ll be greeted by all the townspeople and Roy, who has also returned after the house was fixed. Roy and Ellie will immediately recognize each other from the train. There will be celebrations, and after all that is done, Enite will call Ellie for a word.

Enite will ask Ellie to fix the Fountain in the middle of the village because she wants the other villagers who return to be able to see it all good and functioning, and that’s exactly what we’ll be working towards next.
