Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Lou’s Lagoon.
Lou’s Lagoon isn’t a cozy game only about crafting and manufacturing. Your goal is to find Lou, who has gone missing. By completing quests and talking to NPCs, you will get clues to his whereabouts. You also need to drive away a certain Kraken. Furthermore, to explore Gleam Reef, you also require a Glider.

Gone With The Storm Quest Walkthrough
Talk to Hefti and he will ask you to ask around Tanglebloom about Lou’s whereabouts. Go there and talk to townsfolk about Lou. They will mention that Lou talked to someone in town. You will also learn that Lou ran past a few of them and climbed the stairs.
Go up and talk to Pip, and you will learn he went downstairs from there. You will find Archie down the stairs. He will mention Lou going to Norleaf.
A Sign of Lou Quest Walkthrough
Go to Norleaf using Gondo’s boat once again. Gondo will talk about a Kraken. You need to find a mountain vine fruit to feed the Kraken.
Take your plane and you will find some of these fruits in nearby isles. You can grab them with your hook and then drop them just above the kraken. Get as close as possible to the Kraken to do it successfully. Also make sure not to hit other structures around or you will drop the fruit. This part is best done slowly and steadily.
We had a storm during this part, which made the task a tad bit harder. It can make it much harder to control your plane, so if possible avoid the storm area entirely and do it when the weather around is clearer. Though, you can use boost and hard turns to navigate through the storm.
Return to Gondo once you are done. On Norleaf, you are supposed to find an ancient altar in a cave. You will find the entrance to the cave in the east part of the beach.
Inside the cave you will find a few enemies, but you can rush past them or beat them with your swirler. Watch out for any projectiles they throw. You will find the ancient altar at the other end of the cave. Get an object from the compartment inside the altar. Go back to Archie in the town to report your findings.
Making A Glider
Your next quest will require you to find a wind statue at the Gleam Reef, but you are far from ready. You first need to complete the Ride of Passage quest to get a glider. You can find it in the gadgets menu at Fidge’s lab. It’s time for some tool upgrades in Lou’s Lagoon.
Bolstered Wood is required to get the glider. You can craft Bolstered Wood from the refinery station, but you need two spark cores for that. Cores can be obtained after you complete a side quest. Fabulous Fashion is an easier one, so we recommend that.
Bolstered Wood needs Woodthorn. You can collect them from pointy plants in Lou’s Island, but you need Swirler 2.0 for that. That, in turn, requires Magnetic Pulse Bolts and some Shellings.
Magnetic Pulse Bolts can be crafted at the Manufacturer but you need more spark cores to unlock it. You can do the Stranger Stranding quest from Wilson near the Harbor. Process what’s required and return to Fidge to craft the Glider.
