Lou’s Lagoon takes you to several islands while you are on the quest to find Lou. You find clues related to the Wind Statue that lead you to Gleam Reef. The island is covered with Goo making exploration harder, so you will need to clear it to proceed through the story questlines.

Searching For The Wind Statue
On Gleam Reef, you first have to clear out the goo, so you can move forward. You can harvest it with your Swirler 2.0. In town, you will spot a statue near another sound wave.
Ride that wave to reach the statue. If you are unable to reach it, try gliding it from a closer distance from the cliff.
Bad Omen Quest Walkthrough
Drop down from the cliff with the statue and head northeast towards the direction of the quest marker. Pass through some goo and to the east of the marker, you will see a sound wave platform. Use a groove herb here to activate it.
There are groovy plants found in town, which you can harvest. Gather a few so the exploration ahead goes smoothly.Fly to the cliff and remove the goo. Go further ahead and you will find smoke emitting from Lou’s plane.
An Ominous Trail Quest Walkthrough
Notice the ground below, you will notice black footprints. Follow the trail and it will lead you a door surrounded by goo. You don’t see path up leading to the goo pearl. So we need to retrace our steps.
Go all the way back to the plane. Climb the tall vine to the left of it. Keep moving forward and climb another short vine. Then head left and you will see another wave platform. Glide and you will spot a goo pearl if you go left and go further across the yellow plants.
Go back and cross the lake on the same cliff. Go south and you will find the source of the good that was blocking the path. There are some enemies that will make it harder to harvest Goo, so defeat them first.
The Voice of Wind Quest Walkthrough
Go to Scypho’s house and talk to him. He will ask you to record the voice of the wind. Set off in your plane and go towards the center of the storm. You can find where the storm is with your map.
Go back to Gleam Reef and head to the entrance of the Pirate’s Den. Insert the cassette that you recorded and you can then visit it.
Into The Pirates’ Den
All you need to go is keep moving further till you reach the Pirate Boss. There will be enemies in your way and to unlock the path forward, you need to beat them. Once the boss escapes, grab the diary and the quest will end. Go back and you will see a vine that will help you climb up the den.
Before you leave town, we recommend fixing the Radio Tower, so you can visit it with Autopilot again easily. This will help you return to the island quickly for some side quests later in Lou’s Lagoon.
