LumenTale: Memories Of Trey – Walkthrough Part 1: Prologue

LumenTale: Memories Of Trey Walkthrough

LumenTale: Memories of Trey focuses on the story of Trey, who is found near a town named Iris Hamlet with no memories of his past. Now, he must find a new path that will also lead him towards the answers he seeks. However, before any of that can happen, Trey will have to master his relationship with the Animon.

For more information about the game, please visit its official Steam page.

Arrival

As the game begins, you’ll find Ales gazing at a tree. Suddenly, Trey will end up here out of nowhere. Ales takes Trey to his uncle, who tries to fix him up.

You’ll then wake up as Trey. Uncle Kapan will ask you to look around and go upstairs when you’re ready, so they could eat something.

As you go upstairs, it will trigger a cutscene where Kapan gives Ales a Holoken for his birthday, hoping that he’d accept the path to become a Lumen like his parents were, but Ales gets mad and leaves the house.

Kapan follows him, but asks you to come along as well. Before Trey leaves the house, he’ll pick up the Holoken.

Rescue

After you head out of the house, go southeast from there. You’ll find Ales being attacked by some Animon. You’ll have to jump from above to get down where Ales is.

Once you get there, Ales will ask you to use the Holoken on the Animon. When you hit the Animon with the Holoken, it will trigger a mini-game. Regardless, I was not able to catch this Animon, and it appears the game wouldn’t let me catch it anyway, even if I completed the mini-game.

Even if you fail to catch the Animon, they’ll run away, and Kapan will shortly arrive. The trio will then return to Kapan’s house.

Trey will then eventually go to sleep. The next day, you’ll have to go downstairs to Kapan’s Lab after waking up.

Choice

When you go downstairs to Kapan’s Lab, you’ll find a Lumen here. It appears that the Lumen was on a task near Iris Hamlet and decided to visit Kapan. Once the Lumen leaves, Kapan will talk to Trey.

Kapan asks you to become a Lumen. He’d be willing to give you your first Animon. He’ll take you to the Anispace and will recommend a color based on the personality test at the start of the game.

However, you can pick any Animon out of the five. I picked Vortail, the Animon behind the blue-colored tile. Before the Animon joins your party, you’ll have to battle against it using Kapan’s Lampecko.

Once you’ve reduced half of its HP, the tutorial will ask you to throw a Bilia to catch the Animon. After you’re done, you’ll have your very first Animon.

Smellwing Trouble

Kapan will ask you to go and explore the town with your Ales and your Animon. He also temporarily gives you Lampecko to look after you. You’ll have to head to the Town Square.

Once you get to the Town Square, the area with the big fountain in the town, you’ll overhear some people talking about the Smellwings causing trouble in Scarlet Woods.

Go left from Iris Hamlet to reach the Scarlet Woods. Here, you have to defeat or catch five Smellwings. After you’ve done so, an evolved Smellwing will show up. This one, Toxigall, is their leader.

Toxigall is Level 8, and your Animon should also be the same level if you’re planning to take it on. Keep exploring the Scarlet Woods until you level up enough, and then fight against it.

Request For Help

After dealing with the Smellwings, you’ll have to return to Kapan’s house. Go inside from the gate at the bottom of the house, which will let you in directly into Kapan’s Lab.

You’ll find the Lumen you saw earlier today. His name is Max, and he’s asking for help. You’ll have to go with him to the Scarlet Woods and find the unusual Animon that has appeared there.

In the western and southwestern part of Scarlet Woods, you’ll find this Animon called Mollupom. It has Geo affinity and can be extremely useful in the upcoming battles.

Iotamor

You’ll find Iotamor, the dangerous Animon Max has been looking for, on a small peninsula inside the lake. Max shows concern about Iotamor’s partner, but the battle will immediately begin.

Iotamor is Level 11. Make sure at least one of your Animon is Level 11 or more as well. You won’t have Kopan’s Lampecko to assist you in this battle, so grind for experience in the area before you head to this fight.

Iotamor is weak to lightning, aura, and geo attacks. If you’ve got a starter for any of these types, then you won’t have much trouble. If not, you can still use Mollupom to deal significant damage to this boss.

Once the battle is over, you’ll hear sounds of more trouble. It appears as if Iris Hamlet is in trouble. Max immediately runs off to the town, and you’ll have to head there as well.

After defeating Iotamor, Trey acquired the Geo power. However, you’ll need a Geo Animon to utilize this ability to break the boulders in the Scarlet Woods that have been blocking your path.

Tragedy

When you get to the town, you’ll find it destroyed. Max goes to help out the civilians. If you try to pass through the town, some rubble will fall in the middle, blocking your path, and you’ll have to find another way.

Go to your left, near the entrance to Scarlet Woods. Here, you’ll find a path going downwards. Keep going on this path, and eventually, you’ll find Dr. Kopan stuck inside a crumbling house.

Here, you can either choose to rescue Kopan or pick the other option. Your choices in the game will drastically affect the outcome of the story, so choose wisely. I rescued Kopan, and after that, he headed out to look for Ales.

Now, you have to make your way to the Town Square from here. When you get there, you’ll find a strong Animon wreaking havoc here. There’s also a little girl here, and the Animon has got her in its clutches.

Pymant

As the battle begins, you might recognize that it is the Iotamor’s partner that Max was talking about earlier, due to its wing being the polar opposite of Iotamor.

Pyman is weak to water, lightning, and geo attacks. Due to its weakness against geo and water, Mollupom is a good option here as well.

This battle is fairly challenging, especially if your starter doesn’t have an advantage against Pymant. Make sure you level up before heading to this battle.

If you don’t want to farm experience in battles, you can head to any trash can and recycle some of the resources for experience. However, note that it is not recommended, as you’ll need many of these resources for crafting and leveling up skills.

Furthermore, leveling up gives each of your Animon some adjustable stats that you’ll have to allocate. It can make your Animon a lot stronger, and you can also learn new skills from the same menu.

Go to the Animon tab in the menu and select information. From there, you can access skill management and stat management according to your needs.

Once you’ve defeated Pymant, a man will appear to save you and the little girl. You’ll then wake up inside a camp.

The Journey Ahead

Shortly after, everyone will join Trey inside the camp, including Blanco, the man who saved you from Pymant. Blanco is the president of AARI, a big corporation, and the father of the little girl who was being attacked by Pymant.

Blanco will tell you about Logos, the North, and Mythos, the South. The north will allow you to discover more about technological progress, and the south will help you discover more about tradition and the relationship with Animon.

Now, you’ll have to choose where you want to go. You don’t have to make a decision right away; you’ll just have to pick a path as you head out of the region later.

After that, you’ll have to look for Ales. He’s at a cliff near the town. Check the map and follow the path to get to him.

Once the conversation with Ales is over, the Prologue will finally come to an end.
