Welcome to the final part of Into Indie Games’ walkthrough for Lumina Veil.
After a major revelation, Lunatti decides to help Mia and face the corruption building up inside her. To do that, she has to make her way to Chroma, but the path isn’t easy.

The Subway Station

The chapter begins with Lunatti back at the apartment. You’ll receive a text on your phone from Eclipsia.

After the conversation, head out of the apartment. When you’re back on the street, start making your way toward the subway station. It’s near the store where you bought food earlier.

You’ll spot a C-Safe checkpoint up ahead. As you approach it, you get a text from the unknown caller telling you to avoid the checkpoint. You’ll spot a path lit in purple lights on the left. Follow that path.

This path takes you past the barricade on the other side of the road. The subway station is just up ahead to your left.

Go down the stairs to reach the station.

You’ll receive a text from Chroma (the unknown caller). He’ll tell you to use the maintenance access.

Head along the track toward the green light. You’ll spot a path on your left.

Follow the path. As you head in, the lights will go out. Use your phone as a Flashlight and continue forward.

Drop down to the tunnel once you reach the end.

At this point, the game switches to a fixed camera perspective. Follow the tunnel forward.

As you approach, strange apparitions start to appear behind Lunatti. Ignore them for now.

You’ll get a text from C-Safe. Respond to the text, and follow the path to the end to reach a door. Interact with the door to head inside.

Just before the screen fades out, you’ll see some entities surrounding Lunatti.
The Underground

The game switches back to Mia, the video game character. Continue forward and go down the stairs.

You’ll arrive at the main part of the Underground Junction. The path on the right leads to a locked door. There’s a wooden door on the left, around the fence, where you can save your progress.

Straight ahead, you’ll see an entity standing by the light. When you approach it, it’ll start to walk off. Follow the entity.

The entity disappears. Walk up to the door and interact with it to head to the Underground Quarantine.

Keep moving along the passage. There are no enemies in the area. Eventually, you’ll reach a section where you see a fenced, quarantined area on your right. There’s a padlock on the door of the fence.

Follow the path directly opposite the fence. There’s a door up ahead. Use it to reach the Administration.

You’ll start to see those same entities you saw as Lunatti as you walk along the passage of the zone. But there are still no enemies for you to fight.

As you walk across a passage, you’ll see Lunatti on the ground with her hands to her face. She’s surrounded by a bunch of entities. Walk up to her.

Lunatti and the entities disappear, but there’s a document on the ground that you can read.

Take a few steps and go into the corridor on the side. There’s an item at the end.

Pick it up to collect the Bolt Cutter.

Return to the Underground Quarantine area. When you walk out the door, you’ll spot some entities standing in a group up ahead. These are called Betrayers.

Approach the first group of Betrayers. Only one of them will attack you. Fighting them off is pretty easy. Simply spam the primary attack, and they’ll get stunlocked till they die.

The only thing to remember is to look away when they start chanting, and your screen gets distorted.

Use the Bolt Cutter to break the padlock and walk into the quarantined area.

Walk up the stairs, and you’ll find the Station Key on the ground. Pick it up.

As you head back, you’ll see some more Betrayers in the area. Continue toward the Underground Junction.

Fight off the Betrayers when they begin to attack you. You can’t run away from them.

When you reach the Underground Junction, head down the stairs on the left, opposite the wooden door.

Use the Service Key to open the door and head through to the Underground Halls.

You’ll spot Lunatti up ahead. Walk toward her to trigger a cutscene.
Underground Halls

After the cutscene, you’re back in control of Lunatti. You’ll receive a text from Chroma telling you that Mia is helping you.

Continue forward along the passage. Follow the black wires on the ground.

You’ll reach a fork as you enter a walled corridor. It doesn’t matter which way you go. Just keep moving forward.

This will lead you to a dark room with steel beams.

Walk straight forward to spot a wooden door. The door is locked.

Keep walking around the room. There’s nothing else to do here at the moment. But the environment will keep shifting as you move.

Eventually, the room will transform into a passage, and you’ll spot a door. Try to open it.

Turn around and walk to the other end to spot another locked door. Turn around again, and as you walk forward, you’ll see a hunter up ahead charging at you.

When it attacks you, you’ll find yourself in yet another huge dark room. You can see a light in the distance. Start walking toward it.

As you walk, you’ll see monsters running around you. Don’t worry, they won’t attack you. Just keep heading straight.

When you reach the light, walk up the stairs, and you’ll enter a room with a double door at the end. You can see a red wire and a yellow wire connected to the door.

The double door is locked at the moment, and to unlock it, you have to activate both the red and yellow switches. Follow the red wire to the door on the right.

The switches to a fixed camera perspective again. But the path is straightforward. Keep moving along the path.

You’ll receive a text from your sister, Sayaka. Answer the texts, then continue onward.

When you reach the switch connected to the red wire, activate it.

Retrace your steps to the double-door room. Now head to the area with the yellow switch.

The idea is the same as before. Follow the path to reach the yellow wire switch. Activate it. Then head back out the way you came.

With both switches activated, interact with the double door to head to the next section. This will trigger a cutscene.
Warehouse Area

You’ll be playing as Mia once the cutscene ends. There’s a wooden door straight ahead. Head through it to reach the Director’s Office.

Save your progress and take the ladder inside the office to reach the Warehouse Area.

First thing you’ll notice as you enter the zone is that there’s a thick fog everywhere. Head outside and go into the narrow passage on the right.

As you near the end of the passage, you’ll have to fight a monster.

Take it out and continue along the street. Interact with the shutter with green paint on it to enter the Venue Entrance.

Inside the building, you’ll find a save point and a document. There’s also a Key Scanner on the table that you need to pick up.

You’ll also spot a huge door on the side. But it’s locked. To open it, you’ll have to find four pieces of Venue Key in the next area. When you’re ready, go up the ramp and exit through the window.

Continue along the main path till you reach an area with stacked containers on the left. When you reach the area, your Key Scanner will start to beep. Turn left to enter the section with the containers.

The first piece of the key (Venue Key Top Left) will be on the ground to your right. There’s also an entity here that you’ll want to take out before you move on.

After collecting the first key piece, return to the main street and follow the path forward. You’ll fight a monster near the barricade up ahead.

Walk past the corridor. You’ll be ambushed from the right by a Hunter. Take it down.

Go all the way to the end of the street and walk up the ramp toward the building on the left. Pick up the Backdoor Key from the ground near the barrels.

There’s a warehouse near the barricade that you can enter. Inside this warehouse, you’ll find a locked door. Use the Backdoor Key to unlock the door and head through to the Osenagawa Back Hall.
Osenagawa Back Hall

Make your way out of the warehouse onto the main street. As soon as you do so, you’ll hear the Key Scanner start to beep.

Take out the monster patrolling the street first.

Then check between the containers on the right to find the second piece of the key (Venue Key Top Right).

After picking up the second piece, look behind you to spot a path past the trailer.

Follow this path until you spot a monster standing guard in front of a steel staircase.

Take down the monster and go up the stairs. Head through the door to reach the next area called Iwakura Sangyo Co.
Iwakura Sangyo Co.

There’s a save point nearby as soon as you enter the area. Use it to save your progress. Then drop down to the lower floor.

Head out to the main street and cross over to the other side toward the containers. Your Key Scanner will start to beep.

Go inside the open container on the left and check between the crates to find the third piece of the key (Venue Key Bottom Right).

Exit through the other end of the container and follow the street to the right. You’ll spot a big monster in the distance.

There are some more monsters on the road. Continue along the street while fighting them off.

You’ll eventually spot a ramp heading up to a building. The Key Scanner will also begin to beep at this point.

Turn right and check behind the green container to find the final piece of the key (Venue Key Bottom Left).

Follow the path up the ramp after picking up the key piece.

You’ll spot a passage when you reach the roof.

There’s a ladder at the end of the passage that takes you back to the first part of the Warehouse Area. However, looking down, the area is filled with Betrayers this time.

Head down and make your way forward past the Betrayers. Take them down when they attack you.

They will still attack one at a time as long as you’re not trying to rush past them. So take your time and slowly fight them off as you move forward.

Eventually, you’ll reach a ramp that takes you back to the Venue Entrance door. Once you cross over, the Betrayers won’t attack you.

Enter the Venue Entrance. Assemble the Secret Venue Key by combining all the pieces in your inventory. Use it to unlock the big door and head through to enter the Factory Entrance.

You’ll find some ammo and healing items here. Pick them up. Then head through the door at the other end of the room to enter the Secret Venue.
Secret Venue

Continue forward in the zone, and you’ll soon spot a stage up ahead.

As soon as you walk onto the stage, you’ll trigger a gauntlet. Your goal right now is to fight off the hordes of monsters.

Don’t be greedy with your Bolts and Explosive Bolts. Ammo will keep spawning throughout the arena. There’s also an achievement if you don’t get off the stage during the gauntlet.

Once the fight is over, get off the stage and loop around to the right side to spot a door. This will take you to the Backoffice.

Save your progress and head through the door at the other end to get to the Backalley.
Backalley

As you enter the zone, you gain control of Lunatti once again. You’ll receive a text from Eclipsia when you take a few steps forward. Go through the conversation.

After the conversation, follow the path till you reach a bunker door. Interact with it to head inside.

You’ll arrive at a C-Safe facility. Walk forward, and you’ll get a text from Chroma.

Walk into the elevator up ahead to trigger a cutscene.
The C-Safe Facility

After the cutscene, Mia takes over. Continue forward till you reach the chamber up ahead.

There’s a huge blast door right in front of you. It’s locked at the moment. Head through the door on the right.

Walk along the passage, and immediately after entering the large room, you’ll be able to pick up the Lab Security Card from a container on the right.

There’s a wooden door here that takes you to a save point. Save your progress and return to the area with the blast door.

Head up to the door with the yellow outline outside and unlock it using the Lab Security Card. Head inside.

Interact with the lever inside to open the blast door.

As the door opens, Corruption Emissions changes the world state. You’ll see a Sanity number at the top right corner of your screen. It will continue to go down the longer you stay in the corrupted world state.

Run along the passage through the blast door. Don’t bother with healing. Use the dodge button to move faster.

Turn right at the fork and keep pushing forward.

Just ahead, you’ll spot a set of stairs heading down. Head forward along the lower path. There’s an enemy that will chase you. Don’t bother fighting it.

The path will lead you to the Director’s Office. Head inside.

There’s a save point inside and a document on the table that you can read. The Corruption Emissions have stopped for now.

Exit the Director’s Office when you’re ready and walk back up the stairs. You’ll have to fight the monster that you saw earlier, but since the world state is normal, it’s not a problem.

Follow the path on the right after going up the stairs.

This will take you into Diagnostics.

This zone is empty and straightforward. There are some rooms on either side, but they are mostly empty, apart from a document and some healing items.

Keep moving forward till you reach the end of the path and enter a narrow passage.

As you walk along, the lights will go out.

After a few more steps, you’ll spot some Betrayers up ahead. They won’t attack you.

Continue walking forward, and soon you’ll find the door that takes you to the Hub.

Run up to the center of the room. You’ll see three doors nearby. The door straight ahead leads to the Primary Lab.

The one on the right leads to the Materials Unit. The left path leads to Containment Labs.

There’s also a document nearby that tells you of a mask that you can find in the Materials Unit.
Save your progress by interacting with the music player on the center table before you head into the Materials Unit through the main door.
Materials Unit

Interacting with the door at the Hub brings you to Materials Unit A. Continue along the passage.

You’ll arrive at a door.

Turn right to spot a blast door at the end of the passage. It’s closed now, but you’ll have to find a way to open it.

Head through the door when you’re ready to enter the main section of the Materials Unit. You’ll arrive at a narrow passage.

Continue forward. You’ll have to fight two Hunters along the way.

There’s another door at the end of the passage that leads to the other side of the Materials Unit A.

The first door up the passage is locked. Enter the second room on your left.

You’ll find a document and a lever inside. Use the lever to open the blast door you saw earlier.

You know the drill; run back to the blast door before your Sanity runs out. There’s a big monster in the area with the blast door. Don’t bother fighting it.

Just run into the passage and keep moving forward. You’ll be able to get into the Materials Unit B at the end of the passage.

The Corruption goes away once you enter this area. Go forward and turn right.

Go down the stairs. You’ll notice a blast door on the right at the bottom of the stairs. Follow the passage left after going down.

At the end of the passage, you’ll find the Mask on a table. Use it from your inventory to put it on. The yellow boxes spread out across the zone will refill your air if you interact with them.

As you’re about to head back, Corruption sets in again. But since you have the mask, your Sanity won’t go down as long as you have air in your mask, as shown on the Air counter.

There will also be new monsters in the area. You can fight them if you want. But running past them is usually the better option.

Go up the stairs and head through the door.

Run across the bridge and enter the room on the right side of the passage.

You’ll see a flesh bridge on the right once you run inside the room. Go across the bridge.

Interact with the lever to open the blast door.

Then quickly make your way back to the blast door near the stairs and head through. The door inside takes you into the Materials Unit A.

Refill your air and head down the steps to the lower floor.

You’ll spot a tunnel nearby. Head across it.

There will be a couple of monsters here that you can fight. But you can also easily run past them.

At the end of the passage, you’ll find a lever. Interact with it to open the blast door nearby and head through.

Unlike the previous blast doors, this one will open slowly, so you need to wait for it to open before you can head through.

The idea is the same in the next zone, with more monsters for you to fight. You’ll find the lever at the end that opens the next blast door.

This takes you to a long passage with a big monster up ahead. Run past it.

You’ll enter a narrow corridor with some Betrayers standing still. Run past them until one attacks you.

You can’t run past this one. So take it out quickly.

Keep moving along the corridor, and soon you’ll find the door that takes you to the Maintenance.

Follow the path along the narrow corridor. Soon you’ll spot a dark bridge up ahead.

Refill your air and walk forward along the bridge. Suddenly, the lights will come on, and you’ll be ambushed by a bunch of monsters.

There’s a lever just past the monsters that opens the blast door at the end of the bridge. Use the lever and head through.

The double-door at the end will take you back to the Hub.
Containment Labs

After entering the lab, walk up to the lever up ahead. This will open the blast door.

Walk up to the computer and interact with it. The document tells you that Chroma is in the Primary Labs, but you have to stabilize the Corruption before you can access it.

Continue forward, and the world state will change. As you turn the corner, you’ll see a bunch of Betrayers up ahead.

You have to fight three Betrayers now. Move slowly and take them out one at a time. If you rush in, all three will attack you at once.

At the end of the passage, you’ll spot another lever. Use it to open the blast door and head through to the next area.

You’ll be ambushed by a swarm of Hunters in this zone. As you progress, they will attack you in groups of two or three at a time. Take them down as you go.

Keep moving to the far end of the chamber. Once the final Hunter has been defeated, interact with the lever on the right.

This will trigger a cutscene as Lunatti and Mia activate the two levers at the same time.

You’ll be back in control of Lunatti once the cutscene ends. Start walking back to the Hub. You’ll receive a text from Chroma.

Go all the way back to the Hub and then enter the Primary Labs through the door in the middle.

This will trigger a long cutscene where you find out about Chroma and how he plans to replace your consciousness with Mia’s. You’ll also receive a text from Eclipsia.
When the cutscene ends, you’ll be in control of Mia once again.
The Final Battle

Save your progress at the music player and walk in through the wooden door to reach Unknown.

Continue forward through the passage and stand on the platform between the four pillars up ahead.

As the platform lifts you, you’ll learn of Mia’s thoughts in the Superchat.

When you reach the top, the final battle against Chroma begins.

The fight against Chroma is pretty straightforward. When he’s standing far away, you can’t attack him. During this phase, he will either summon monsters to fight you or spawn flaming barrels in the arena that explode after a brief delay.

You’ll want to take your time with the monsters since Ammo keeps spawning periodically in the arena.

After a while, Chroma will enter the arena and charge toward you. When he gets close, he will swing with his baseball bat.

Now is the time to attack him. Use your Speargun and shoot him with Bolts. If you’ve got Exploding Bolts stocked up, now is the time to use them.

He will jump back outside the barrier after this, spawning more monsters and flaming barrels in the arena. But the overall fight is pretty much the same. Keep defeating the monsters and shooting Chroma with Exploding Bolts when you get the chance, and he’ll eventually go down.

This will trigger the final cutscene. Congratulations on finishing Lumina Veil!
