Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Luna Abyss, which covers the first half of the main story. Luna Abyss is a first-person action adventure title filled with adrenaline-charging enemy and boss encounters. Multiple weapons and abilities are at your disposal, and they are utilized not only for combat but also for exploration. For more information, you can visit the game’s official Steam page here.

The Abyss
As soon as the gameplay begins after the cutscenes, go through the door at the end of the room after picking up the codex entry. Pick up the Scout Rifle on your left at the end of the next room.
Shoot the door on your right to open it and go through it next. You’ll need to shoot doors to open them throughout the game, so keep that in mind.
Jump across the platforms inside the next room to progress. In the next area, head right and jump on top of the pipe here. Shoot the orbs here to destroy and create a path to get across. Take another right at the end to reach the next pipe and go through the tunnel at the end.
Right Tool For The Job
After going through the tunnel, head right and take a left at the end. Go up the stairs here and take another right at the end near the crystal to trigger a cutscene in the next room.
Here, the mother’s eyes summon two waves of enemies that you need to beat. They are pretty simple; you’ll need to dodge the orbs that they shoot and use your Scout Rifle to obliterate them.
Another cutscene plays once you beat them, which unlocks the door on the left side of the mother’s eyes. Go through this door, jump across the platform, and pipe to reach a moving platform on your left at the end. Use this platform to ascend and head inside the next room.
Jump down and head right to reach the next section. Shoot the generator on the left side of the stairs to unlock the door up top. Continue ahead and speak to the NPC at the end of your path.
After this conversation, turn around and take the path on your left to progress. Take a right at the end to reach the next door. Shoot the generator directly opposite the door to unlock it.
Continue ahead, jump down, and crouch through the pipe on your right. Take another right after coming out of the pipe, and you should spot another moving platform.
Use the platform to ascend and keep following the pipes here to continue heading to the top. Go through the door at the end and follow the linear path to trigger a combat section with more rawhheads and bloodybones.
Defeat these enemies and use the stairs to reach the top. Some more enemies will be waiting for you here. Directly above the door, you can spot the generator that you need to shoot at the top. Shoot the generator and jump down to go through the newly unlocked path.
Follow the pipes on your right in the next area and then take a left at the end. Slide through the purple lasers here to get across. Shoot the generator right next to the door at the end to progress.
After going through the door, head right and keep following the pipes here to the end. Jump across pipes when you need to and shoot the door at the end to continue ahead.
Stick to the linear road ahead to trigger a combat section. Defeat the enemies and use the red platform in the middle of the room to make a big jump that allows you to ascend.
Defeat the next set of enemies and shoot the generator in front to unlock another jump pad. Use it to get across and keep following the linear path ahead.
After jumping down the second time, head left to find the Shield Breaker. This weapon will allow you to break blue shields that block your path. Take a U-turn after picking up the weapon and break the shields in your path to progress.
You will arrive at a crystal at the end that restores your health. From the crystal, take the path on your right and keep following it to reach the next door. You’ll need to break the shield of the door first using the Shield Breaker and then shoot it with the Scout Rifle to unlock it.
An enemy encounter will be waiting for you in the next room. Use the Shield Breaker to break the shields of enemies if the need arises. After this encounter, use the stairs to head to the top and start your next objective.
Finding The Signal
Follow the objective marker to shoot the generator in front of you before jumping down. Descend, head straight, and use the jump pad at the end to reach the door. Shoot the shield and head through the door here.
In the next room, mother’s eyes will summon more enemies. After you beat the first wave, the game introduces an elite enemy known as the celebrant of mani. It will spam orbs in diagonal and spiral waves. Keep moving around to dodge them, and don’t stop shooting while you’re evading.
A jump pad powers up after you beat the enemies here, so use it to ascend. Head straight ahead and take a right at the end to progress. Follow the linear path ahead and use the jump pad at the end to ascend even further.
You’ll need to jump down after leaping up. Follow the tunnel here and interact with a switch at the end to trigger a cutscene. Follow the newly unlocked path ahead through the tunnels.
Go through the pipes and jump down at the end to find your next set of doors. Progress ahead and take a right at the end to find a healing crystal. From the crystal, head straight and go through the door to start an enemy encounter.
Defeat the enemies and go through the door on the right side of the room. Stick to the linear path ahead and make a big jump down at the end.
Once you reach the bottom, defeat the enemies here and follow the objective marker to descend into another pipe. Get out of the pipe at the end and take a U-turn to progress.
Get inside the next pipe on your left at the end, and continue to move through it. Jump across the platforms at the end to find a door on your left. Descend through the pipe here to enter the next room.
Once you reach the bottom, take a U-turn and go through the door on your right. Keep heading straight to trigger a cutscene. Speak with Urien after the cutscene ends to start another cutscene, which marks the end of this objective.
Orientation
After you wake up, shoot the capsule in front of you to obtain the drift skill. Use the drift skill on the enemy on your right to unlock the gate. Drift skill can be used in combat on staggered enemies and allows you to replenish your health.
Head straight, defeat enemies in your path, and jump down at the end. Shoot another capsule on your right here to obtain a skill that allows you to control watchers.
Possess a watcher in front of you and take control of it. Look on your right, and deposses near the door to teleport yourself there.
Go through the door and possess another watcher at the end. Use it to teleport to the stairs on your left. Use the next set of watchers to get across the large gaps and reach the moving platform at the end.
Shoot the generator on your right at the end, and then possess another watcher here. Move from one watcher to the next by possessing the next one. Teleport yourself near the stairs at the end.
You’ll come across a cage, and you’ll need to possess the watcher on the other side to teleport yourself across. Be ready to face off some enemies on the other side.
Shoot the generator inside the pillar here and use the next set of watchers to reach the top. Climb up the stairs and slide across the purple lasers next.
Shoot the generator on your left to bring a watcher in front of you. Possess the watcher and teleport to the next watcher across the lasers.
Shoot the orbs on the other side to reveal a generator. Next, shoot a generator to spawn another watcher. Use this watcher to get across the gap here.
Stick to the linear path ahead, defeat the enemies, and go through the pipe at the end. Jump down on the platform and shoot the generator on your left to spawn a watcher.
Use the watcher to teleport to the next platform. Shoot another generator on your left to make the platform move. Crouch and jump over the lasers as the platform moves.
When the platform gets to the other side, you’ll need to shoot another generator on your left to bring in another watcher. Possess the watcher and use it to teleport inside the pipe up top.
Defeat the enemies at the end and use the door inside the room to progress. Head straight and use the watcher on your right to get to the other side.
Break the shield next and use the jump pad to get near the watcher and possess it. Teleport yourself to the other side and go through the small opening in the gate. Take a left at the end to begin your next objective.
Connection lost
Jump forward and possess the watcher to teleport yourself towards the left side. Use the jump pad next and possess the watcher up top to go right through the pipe.
Take two rights after coming out of the pipe to get inside the next pipe. Make sure to dodge the rotating lasers in your path.
Once you get out of the pipe, possess the watcher on the other side of the cage in this room. Use it to teleport and progress. Keep following the objective marker and evade the rotating lasers to reach a jump pad.
Jump to spot a watcher, which you can possess to get to the other side. Continue through the pipes and evade the lasers. Turn right at the end to jump on top of a moving platform and get higher.
Possess the watcher on your left and use it to teleport to the hatch in front. Continue through the pipe and shoot the capsule at the end to find a health buff.
Turn back and possess the same watcher again. Teleport to your left near the glowing red light this time. Move up the stairs and defeat the enemies in your path. Then use the watcher on the other side of the cage, up top, to progress.
Use the jump pad on your right and possess another watcher to reach the healing crystal. Head inside the gate near the crystal and use the jump pad to find another watcher that allows you to progress. Continue through the pipes to trigger a cutscene at the end.
Mother’s eyes summon enemies again inside this room, so be ready for combat. A new elite enemy attacks you here. Just make sure to remove its shield whenever it covers itself.
Continue through the newly opened door to progress. Keep heading straight ahead to trigger another cutscene. Speak with Ellie inside the lift next. Once the lift reaches the top, make your way out and stick to the linear path to jump down at the end.
After you descend, turn back to spot the watchers on your left. Use the watchers to teleport to the door up above. Continue following the path ahead and interact with the switch at the end to complete this mission.
Speak with Aylin and go to bed once you go back to your cell. After you wake up, speak with Aylin again to start your journey.
Out of Service
Once the gameplay begins, head left to start a cutscene. After you descend the stairs, take the path on your right and go down. Open the door on your left and shoot the generator inside.
Now go back up and move towards the door on the far left side of the stairs. Follow the path ahead and jump down the large well at the end. Make sure to stay clear of the lasers when you’re descending.
Speak with Everett and Orion at the bottom. Follow the objective marker next and go through the pipes to complete this mission.
Forgotten Roads
Continue moving through the pipes and use the stairs to reach the door. Take the path on your right next and descend to the bottom again at the end. You’ll need to be careful about the purple lasers here as well.
Once you reach the bottom, follow the objective marker to descend through a pipe. Keep following the path ahead, and you’ll find a capsule on your left. Shoot the capsule to unlock the double jump ability.
Use the double jump to reach the door in front of you and go through to progress. Take the jump pad and double jump to reach the door on your left in the next room.
Keep following the linear path and jump across gaps where you need to. Eventually, you will arrive in a room where you have to carefully descend. Spot the platforms below and jump from one platform to the next to descend.
Continue straight after going down to trigger a combat section. Beat the enemies and go right to descend even further. Keep jumping down on the platforms.
Take a right on the last platform to spot yet another bridge that you can jump down to. Move through the door at the end, take a left, jump down, and take another left to crouch through the next section.
Use the stairs on the other side to ascend. Next, you’ll need to utilize watchers to progress to a healing crystal. From the crystal, take the path on your right and keep heading down to enter a combat section.
After beating the enemies, move to the farther right side of the room and jump down onto the bridge. Head straight, take a left, and jump to the platforms here. Next, make a leap toward the platform on your right.
Continue following the straight path ahead and use the watcher at the end to teleport yourself near the objective marker.
Stick to the linear road and break the shield to spot a capsule. Shoot the capsule to unlock the shield wall ability that allows you to block enemy projectiles. An alarm goes off after you pick this upgrade, so turn back and go left through the newly opened door to trigger a cutscene.
Once the cutscene ends, use the shield wall to block the projectiles in front of you. Then continue using the straight path ahead. Break the shield and use the jump pad to progress.
After you ascend, use the watcher on the other side of the cage to get across. Continue up the stairs to arrive at the Weeping Meadows. Keep following the objective marker to arrive at a switch.
Interact with the switch to reveal two generators. Shoot the generators to open the door and start your next objective.
Path of The Lost
Keep following the objective marker and defeat the enemies in your path to arrive at a switch. Interact with the switch to reveal two generators. Shoot at them to unlock the door.
Defeat the enemies in the next section and take a U-turn from the door at the end. You will arrive at a generator that you need to shoot.
Make your way back to the gate and interact with the switch to reveal more generators that you need to shoot to unlock your path forward.
Take the path on your right next and use the jump pad to ascend. Continue ahead and take a left to spot a moving platform. Use it to get across and slide under the lasers. Take another left and dodge more lasers here.
You will spot a watcher at the end on your left. Use it to teleport up above and shoot the generator here. Then jump down and interact with the switch right in front.
This reveals three generators that you need to shoot to unlock the door. The first generator can be found directly behind the switch. For the second generator, use the jump pad to reach it. Lastly, go left from the second generator to spot the third inside the wall.
Progress through the newly unlocked door and use the watchers here to jump over the gaps. Shoot the generator on the left side of the last watcher, which will move it upwards. Quickly possess the watcher to ascend with it and reach a healing crystal.
Continue following the linear path ahead to start another encounter with the mother’s eyes. New enemies are introduced in this encounter, which explode, dealing AOE damage. So maintain distance from them and shoot them from afar.
After defeating the enemies, keep following the objective marker and dodge the purple lasers in your path. Jump over the gaps in your way, and you will reach an NPC called Foss. Speak with Foss here and go through the newly unlocked door after the cutscene.
The Disconnected And Keeping Things Out
You will arrive at somewhat of a hub area. Speak with Min, who is the large NPC standing near the gate. After speaking with Min, go near the next objective marker, which takes you to a switch.
From the switch, head right through the tunnel and take a left to reveal a jump pad. Use the jump pad to ascend and jump over the bridge here. Destroy the shield on the other side and shoot the generator to activate the switch.
Go back down and interact with the switch to reveal three generators. One of the generators can be found on the left side of the door, while the other is on the right side.
For the last generator, quickly take a U-turn from the switch and look to your right to spot it. Shoot the three generators in succession to unlock the door. Pass through the door to complete these missions in Luna Abyss.
The Fettered Pump
Keep following the objective marker to arrive at a capsule. Shoot the capsule to unlock the evasive dash upgrade, which allows you to dodge enemy projectiles. Dashing also helps exploration as it allows you to pass through the red barriers.
Take a U-turn, dash through the barrier here, and then turn right. Next, turn left and dash through another barrier to reach a healing crystal. Dash through the barrier on the right side of the crystal to progress.
Continue following the objective marker and dashing through the red barriers. Double jump over the water and beat the enemies in your path.
Don’t forget to dodge the purple lasers as well, and you will arrive near a jump pad. Utilize the jump pad to ascend and keep moving forward to encounter the mother’s eyes again. Defeat the enemy waves and the elite at the end here.
Once you’re done with the combat encounter, follow the objective marker to interact with a switch at the end. This triggers a cutscene after which you need to go speak with Min. Just follow the updated quest marker to reach Min and complete this mission.
In The Garden of Eden
Continue past Min through the open gate in front. Keep following the objective marker to descend. You will arrive near a blockade at the end. Take a right from this blockade and shoot the capsule here to obtain the drift surge.
Drift surge is an upgraded finisher for staggered enemies. This causes enemies to explode and release projectiles that deal secondary damage. Use the drift surge on an enemy on the opposite side of the blockade to destroy it.
Continue forward, defeat the enemies in your path, and dash through the red barrier at the end. Use the jump pad on the other side to ascend. Keep following the objective marker to arrive at the Consumed Fields.
Defeat the enemies here and go right at the end of this section. Jump over the water, dash through the red barrier, use the pipes to jump over the water again, dash through another red barrier, destroy the blue shield, and shoot the generator here.
Turn right, use the jump pad to ascend, and get ready to fight some more enemies. You’ll need to shoot two generators marked by two objective markers next.
Go to the switch on your left side first. Interact with the switch here, use the jump pad inside, and dash over the purple lasers. Use the watchers to ascend and continue dashing through the red barriers. You will finally arrive at the generator near the top that you need to shoot.
Make your way to the next objective marker and interact with the switch here. This spawns a jump pad on your right, which you’ll need to utilize to ascend. Dash through the red barrier at the end to shoot the generator.
This unlocks the gate in the area that allows you to progress. However, more enemies will be waiting for you when you jump down. Take care of them first before going ahead. Speak with Francis by following the next objective marker and put an end to this mission.
A Graveyard of Iron And Clearing A Path
Follow the next objective marker after speaking with Francis and jump over the water to reach a healing crystal and trigger a cutscene. Once the cutscene ends, head straight and shoot the capsule here to obtain the Goliath Neural Pattern, which allows you to take control of Goliath Wardens.
Possess the Goliath Warden on your right side and use it to shoot down the outgrowths and the enemies in front of you. Keep following the objective marking and spamming your guns on the enemies in your path.
Depossess the goliath at the end and jump across the gap to follow the objective marker. Crouch through the small gap at the end and speak with Francis on the other side to complete these objectives.
Containment
After speaking with Francis, jump between the platforms in front of you. Use your dash ability through the red barriers and possess the watchers to help your parkour.
Keep following the objective marker to pick a new weapon at the end, known as the Monarch’s Lance. This weapon allows you to destroy enemy shields when they turn purple. The lance also pierces through enemies, so you can damage multiple enemies at once.
The game will now start spawning enemies with purple shields, so you’ll need to rely on your lance. Continue to defeat these enemies and follow the objective marker. You’ll have to jump over large gaps and utilize the watchers in your way to teleport as well.
Eventually, you will arrive near another goliath that you need to possess. Take control of this warden and start shooting the enemies in the arena. Let go of the goliath after defeating the enemies and continue to follow the objective marker.
When you spot a watcher at the top, possess it. Then look up to spot more watchers. Move from one watcher to the next to get inside the large pipe. Continue throughout the pipe and possess more watchers at the end to get inside the Drift Reactor.
Use the jump pads and the watchers in the initial section of the reactor to reach a healing crystal. Go through the door near the crystal and shoot the generator to unlock the next door. Continue ahead to begin the Tortured Adrift boss fight.
Tortured Adrift Boss Fight
It is a pretty simple boss fight, and you just need to keep dodging the waves of orbs. Dash to evade and double jump over the waves while spamming your weapons. Whenever normal enemies spawn, use your melee attack to heal yourself as well.
During the fight, the boss will connect itself to multiple generators and shields. You’ll need to shoot the generators and destroy the shields before dealing damage. Use the lance to break the purple shields additionally.
After defeating the boss, interact with the red orb inside the room to trigger a cutscene. Once the cutscene ends, continue to speak with Aylin inside your cell.
