Lunarium – Walkthrough Part 2: Cyanstone

Lunarium Walkthrough

Lunarium features the journey of Ave and Lune as they set out from Firleaves to discover the source of the mysterious Nihilus. To find out more about this darkness, they set out for Cyanstone, where they hope to meet Lilia, another Starfarer. However, their journey is full of obstacles neither Ave nor Lune expected.

Arrival In Cyanstone Outskirts

After arriving in the region, go downstairs. There’s an Astral Shard hidden on the platform. After that, keep going down. Just like how gathering four Avian Shards increases your maximum HP, four Astral Shards increase your resonance cap.

You’ll find many paths there blocked by Nihilus. You’ll have to use Lune’s arrow to pierce the Nihilus Core to progress in these areas.

Make your way to the first resting bench in the area. There’s a chest with an embroidery blueprint in the room to the left of the bench. The only other path leads southeast. There’s also a bridge here, but it’s corrupted by Nihilus, and you can’t cross it now.

You’ll find an elevator here, guarded by an enemy with a Nihilus Core on its back. These enemies take reduced damage, and you’ll be encountering them often in the area. You’ll have to fire Lune’s arrow at the core to destroy it, and then you can easily deal damage to it.

As you keep progressing downward, you’ll encounter an enemy that looks like a corrupted knight. It can be quite challenging to defeat, but once you’re ahead of that, you’ll find the path leading to the next bench shortly. Defeating the knight will drop an Echo of Stardust, which can be used at the Star Picker in the Sanctuary to unlock more skills in the skill tree.

After resting at the bench, progress towards the north. You’ll eventually arrive in an area with Colossus enemies. These are white-colored mechanical warriors.

Keep going — You’ll eventually arrive at a Nihilus Core. Destroy it, and you’ll find that it connects to the bridge. To progress the story, you’ll have to go right from the bridge, towards Cyanstone’s entrance.

However, there’s a path leading south from the village. You can find an optional boss called the Rearguard Warrior here. This colossus is infected by Nihilus.

During some of its attacks, a Nihilus core will appear on it. You’ll have to destroy it to interrupt the attack.

Sentinel Colossus – Tower Shield

As you go through the bridge, you’ll encounter the Sentinel Colossus – Tower Shield boss blocking the path. This boss uses the shield in its hand as a weapon.

In the starting phase, if the boss is blocking and you attack it, it will deflect your attack and counter with a shield bash, and then it will dash towards you for a slightly delayed attack. Get its timing down because you’ll have to parry it a lot during the battle.

If you break its poise and stagger it, unlike other bosses, it will perform one final attack after getting staggered, so be careful about jumping on it once it gets knocked down.

If it glows red, it will likely smash the ground and deal damage in the area around it. It can also glow red and then smash the ground with its giant shield.

Once you’ve defeated the boss, it will drop a Soul of the Created, a fragment of Lilia’s Lumina. After defeating it, you’ll be able to progress into Cyanstone.

Cyanstone

In Cyanstone, keep going ahead until you encounter the first bench, which should be very near after you’ve defeated the Tower Shield Colossus. After resting at the bench, you’ll reach an area corrupted by Nihilus.

After you’ve gotten rid of the enemies, you’ll find that the core is on an elevated platform, and you can’t shoot it down from the ground. There’s a path on the left that allows you to get on top of a ladder. You’ll find an Astral Shard here, but you can also aim at the core from here.

As you keep moving, you’ll eventually arrive near the Palace Entrance. There will be a crow merchant here. You can purchase an Avian Shard from it. After that, enter the Palace.

You’ll find a locked gate here. You can use the Soul of the Created that you obtained from the Sentinel Colossus – Tower Shield to unlock one of the four ends of the lock. You’ll have to find three more Souls of the Created to open this path. Luckily, I was able to find a total of four bosses here that had the Soul of the Created in Cyanstone.

There’s a bench near the Palace Entrance. Rest on the bench and progress from the path near it. Lune will tell you that it leads to the Garrison Quarters, and you may find more Sentinels there.

Here, you’ll find many areas where you’ll have to battle against several enemies in quick succession. If you defeat two, a couple of more will show up after that. This keeps on going for a while until you’ve defeated everyone in the area, and the path will become unlocked after that.

As you go, you’ll encounter a group of colossi fighting against a group of corrupted warriors. Both of these groups will attack you, so it’s best to keep going straight instead of fighting them head-on.

You’ll then arrive at another resting bench. Go right from the bench. The path will then lead you to a large hall. There, you’ll have to fight against many enemies. However, you’ll also have to watch out for the colossus shooting Nihilus projectiles in your direction.

Fortunately, your enemies can also get damaged by these projectiles. You’ll have to try to position your enemies in such a way that the projectile attacks hit them instead of Ave. Once you’ve survived and defeated all the enemies in the area, you’ll be able to move ahead.

The enemy that was throwing projectiles at you is on the balcony, and to get there, you’ll have to take the stairs in the next area. You’ll also find a locked gate in the way. Defeating this enemy will grant you one Soul of the Created. You’ll need 2 more to progress through the Palace Gate.

After defeating this enemy, exit the area from the right. You’ll find some enemies and crates in the way. Here, you have to go to the extreme northeast. Here, you’ll find a worn-down gate, which is quite easy to miss. Destroy it, and a path will open.

You’ll find a lever here that unlocks the locked door from before. Now, when you pass through the door, you’ll find an item on the other end. When you try to leave the area, the Red Dancer will appear, and you’ll have to fight her.

Red Dancer

The Red Dancer is incredibly evasive, but its attacks are easy to parry and dodge. You have to try to get a few hits in, and when the boss starts to evade all your attacks, you’ll have to make Lune shoot an arrow at it so the stagger bar doesn’t go down.

During the battle, Red Dancer often moves around too much, and you might not be able to land a hit for some time. This causes the stagger bar to go down once again.

After you’ve brought down 40% of Red Dancer’s HP, it will disappear, and the lights in the hall will go out. It will summon four lesser colossus dancers.

Now, these colossus dancers will come at you, throwing parriable and dodgeable attacks. You’ll have to dodge and parry their attacks, and once each of them staggers, you’ll have to defeat them. They don’t have a lot of HP, but staggering them can take some time.

Once you’ve defeated all of the lesser colossus enemies, the fight with Red Dancer will resume. It remains mostly the same for the remaining battle. After you’ve defeated it, you’ll obtain the Soul of the Created.

Fintan

From the main hall where you encountered the projectile-throwing sentinel, go southeast. You’ll find a path that leads further south.

From here, if you keep going, you’ll come full circle and back to the resting bench. The boss arena is also just before the turn you take to return to the resting bench.

Fintan is a colossus knight on horseback. It mostly swings around its halberd to attack you, but the horse itself can do tackles and kicks.

When the boss glows red, it will throw its halberd into the ground. After that, it will jump and smash into the ground. In the second phase, a Nihilus Core will appear on its back, and you’ll have to use Lune’s arrow after the smash to interrupt the boss from using a wide-area attack.

In the second phase, the boss may also start to charge at you recklessly. You’ll have to use the arrow to stop it in its tracks and inflict great stagger damage. If you don’t stop it, it will keep chasing you around.

Defeating Fintan will grant you the third Soul of the Created. If you’re having trouble winning against any of the bosses, you can find more Sentinels in Cyanstone and use their soul to unlock the Palace Entrance.

Hauler Colossus – Heavy

From the entrance to Red Dancer’s arena, turn left. Keep going straight ahead from there. You’ll encounter many enemies on the way.

As you enter the area with Nihilus Crows, you’ll have to keep moving ahead on the path. You’ll also find some Colossi guarding a treasure chest. Just beyond this area, you’ll find the arena of Hauler Colossus – Heavy.

The boss takes next to no damage, but you don’t have to worry too much about it. Just keep building its stagger bar.

Once it gets staggered, you’ll be able to deal a ton of damage to it. You can easily defeat the boss after staggering it twice.

When it glows red, it can throw itself on the ground, dealing damage in a small area. Furthermore, in the second phase, the boss can glow red and cause rocks to drop from above. You’ll have to avoid those as you move around.

Defeating the boss will grant you a Soul of the Created. You can use it to unlock a power-up later on as well.

Mysterious Visitor

Unlock the gate using the three Souls of the Created. After that, you’ll have to pass through the gate. You’ll find a mysterious presence in black blocking your path. This person will try to stop you.

You’ll have to fight against it. The Mysterious Visitor fights with a cane. It mostly uses a three-hit combo, followed by a thrust attack. They also use a red-flash thrust attack, which you’ll have to dodge.

This boss might also throw some projectiles during battle. However, it is an easy opponent compared to the Sentinels, and you won’t have much trouble defeating this boss.

Lilia

After defeating the Mysterious Visitor, you’ll encounter Lilia in her arena. She has been completely consumed by Nihilus.

As the battle begins, Lilia will often start with a delayed attack. The first swing of this attack is a feint, while the real attack is the second swing.

Lilia uses multiple red-flashing attacks that cannot be parried. One of them is a thrust attack. She also uses one attack where she summons a Nihilus area-of-effect attack on the ground. This can be easily avoided if you keep moving.

The third attack is where she spams Nihilus projectiles in your direction. You’ll have to run to the sides to avoid those. She also uses a red-flashing attack where she slams her spear on the ground.

When you try to attack Lilia, she’ll block the attacks, occasionally deflecting one of the hits. After deflecting, Lilia will always use a two-hit combo. It is either going to be two thrust attacks, or a swing attack where she does the second swing immediately. You have to parry both of these attacks always.

Lilia is the first boss so far that comes with two health bars. Once you’ve depleted her first health bar, Lilia will become more aggressive. One of her attacks traps you with Nihilus thorns while she prepares an explosion attack. Here, you have to shoot an arrow at the Nihilus core to destroy the thorns, and you’ll be able to escape from the attack.

Once you’ve defeated Lilia, you’ll have to use the Blade of Rutila to finish her off. Blade of Rutila will become another one of your skills, like Lune’s arrow. It allows you to interrupt enemies whenever they’re performing a red-flashing unparryable attack while dealing heavy stagger damage to them.

You’ll also obtain Lilia’s Stellar Core. Return to the Sanctuary with Lune. She’ll talk to you. After that, you’ll have to rest at the Sanctuary’s resting bench. This will cause Ave to meet with a mysterious person. However, she immediately wakes up in an entirely foreign area.
