Marvel Cosmic Invasion kicks off with a fast, arcade-style gauntlet that takes you from the streets of New York all the way to the Blue Area of the Moon, introducing the game’s core rhythm of crowd control, tag-team pressure, and tight boss mechanics. This walkthrough covers all of Act 1 up to that lunar showdown, guiding you through optimal routes, ability usage, and encounter pacing while preparing you for the six major bosses that define the act’s difficulty curve: Beetle’s hit-and-run pressure, Master Mold’s turret-based armor phases, Klaw’s sonic area denial, Sauron’s airborne aggression, Taskmaster’s adaptive counters, and Dark Phoenix’s reality-warping multi-phase finale.
Table of contents
Nova Cruiser
Start the campaign and watch the introductory cutscene and play through the tutorial level.

New York City: Road to Annihilation
For the next mission, you can only pick New York City.
Challenges:

When you go to character selection, you will notice that certain portraits are glowing – these are the recommended characters for that level. For New York it’s Spider-Man and Nova. For this walkthrough, we are picking the recommended characters.

Watch the cutscene and fight through the chaos that ensues. It’s mostly bugs everywhere and pretty easy to button mash your way through.
Challenge 1: Hit 3 Enemies with a single web swing kick using Spider-Man
Easiest place to do it right before the Bank Robbery by Beetle. Try to web pull a bunch of enemies close together. Also pretty easy to do on the green flying bugs.

Challenge 2: 10 Enemies defeated using Nova’s Energy Beam
Whittle down the health of enemies and hit them with Nova’s quick fire Nova Beam (Triangle or Y). You can get 10 in no time.
Challenge 3: Avoid Taking Damage from the swarming bugs.
For this just fly over the bugs as Nova when they rush you after the bank robbery section.

Cube Location –

Boss: Beetle
Annihilus controlled Beetle has three moves. He will stand in place and explode in an area of effect.

He will direct a targeted blast in a straight line – this can be horizontal and diagonal.

He will summon a Laser pillar from the skies.

He does summon two adds, but they are easy to deal with. Avoid his attacks, and he should go down in no time. Once the fight is over, your heroes should level up.
Tip: Try to get to Level 5 with your preferred heroes as then you unlock the passive abilities of the heroes.
Genosha: Heavy Metal
Next up, you can choose to go through Genosha or Helicarrier: Operation Jailbreak. Going through Genosha, the recommended picks are Storm and Wolverine.
Challenges

Fight your way through the sentinels, break the cells open to free mutants.
Challenge 1: 10 Enemies defeated using Wolverine’s Feral Throw
Use Triangle or Y to just spam throw the smaller sentinels.

Challenge 2: Defeat 10 enemies by dropping Electric Bombs using Storm
Use Storm to drop the electric bombs from the conveyor belt on to the rushing enemies.

Challenge 3: Free All Mutants
Open all the cells in the first section of this area to free all the mutants.

Boss: Master Mold

The Master Mold uses his fist to slam down on the ground. He slams down close to you and follows it up with slams away from you.

He summons two Sentinel adds. Take these out and attack the arms on each side.

Once you deal with the Sentinels, the Master Mold shoots lightning balls from his eyes. These track and are very annoying so try to jump over them.

He does a straight arena wide beam attack. Take out the arms as soon as possible. Avoid this by following the lines of attack and dropping down or up as needed. Attack his head and he should go down soon.

Hellicarrier: Operation Jailbreak
For the Hellicarrier mission the recommended heroes are Captain America and Iron Man.
Challenges:

Fight through the enemies here. A lot of AIM agents here, given MODOK’s presence. Spam Cap’s Shield throw here. Utilize the turret guns – for the challenge as well as for the cheese.
Challenge 1: Hit 3 Enemies with a single Electro-Charge Attack using Iron Man
For this hold and charge Square or X to release an Electro-charge. Try to aim for a cluster of enemies.

Challenge 2: Toss 5 enemies in pits using Captain America
Whenever you see an opening in the hull of the hellicarrier just spam Shield Throw (Triangle or Y) to drop AIM soldiers down the hole.

Challenge 3: Defeat 15 Enemies using Hellicarrier’s Turret Guns
Once you finish the elevator section, use the Turret gun’s on the helicarrier’s decks to take the enemies out.

Boss: Taskmaster

For this fight, wait till he throws his shield and just pressure him.

Without his shield he just folds under the pressure. He can’t really block without the shield. Once he has the shield back he does a close range swipe with it.

Use Cap and stay close to him. He just buckles.
Wakanda: Battle for Birnin Zana
Once again you have a choice between Wakanda and the Savage Land. Let’s do Wakanda first. The recommended heroes for Wakanda are Black Panther and Captain America.
Challenges:

Fight through all the bugs and the AIM soldiers. Black Panther Vibranium Knives are great for crowd control here. Keep pushing till you reach the Maglev train. Fight on top of the maglev train, but watch out for the oncoming barriers that you need to jump over. Till you get to Klaw. The most annoying enemies in this level are these green rolling bugs.

Challenge 1: Defeat the mission’s boss (Klaw) using Black Panther
Self explanatory but you dont need to fight Klaw with Panther. Just get the finishing blow.
Challenge 2: Hit 3 enemies with a single shield throw using Captain America
There are more than enough crowds in this section of the game to get this done. Just keep spamming Shield Throw.

Challenge 3: Destroy bug pods before they spawn 25 enemies.
For this you need to destory the bug pods as a priority. Before they can spawn 25 bugs. I got it done with 24 bugs spawned.

Boss: Klaw

Klaw goes ethereal and is impossible to hit in that form. Use the generators near him to short circuit his tech – use Panther’s Vibranium Blades or Cap’s Shield to activate from range.

The rest of the adds and attacks are avoidable. So keep moving. Klaw will start destorying the Generators after a while, but it shouldnt be an issue.

Cube Location

Savage Land: Rumble in the Jungle
Finishing up the other side of this mission, head to Savage Land.
Challenges:

The recommended heroes are Storm and She-Hulk. Fight through the stampedes. Honestly, just spam She-Hulk’s throw with Triangle or Y. It’s super effective here. And you need it for a Challenge. Avoid the flame spouts and keep moving.
Challenge 1: Defeat 5 enemies using She-Hulk’s throw
Just spam her throw move, its super effective at using enemies as projectiles.

Challenge 2: Hit 5/5 enemies with a single special attack using Storm.
Just use her R1 or RB ability on a large crowd.

Challenge 3: Avoid taking damage from dinosaur stampede
This event happens a few times, the best way to avoid it is to use Storm and keep flying.

Boss: Sauron

Sauron goes up in the air and slams down – which is shown by the marking on the ground. Just get to the other side when he does this.

You can spam She-Hulk’s throw on him at the beginning to get some cheap damage in. But he later on becomes immune to it. His grab attack will kill you in seconds if you don’t break free of it.

He also summons a dinosaur stampede from time to time. He does a diagonal kick as well. He shoots circular beams from his mouth as well.

Overall, keep moving to the opposite side of where he lands and look for an opening.
Blue Area of the Moon: Full Moon of the Insectoids
Only one choice this time. Time to go to the moon.
Challenges:

The recommended duo is Wolverine and Nova. Fight through all the bugs. The most annoying bug is the burrowing one. There are bugs that drop other bugs as they fly by. Motorcycle bugs are annoying too. For the ground mobs, use Wolverine’s throw and for the flying ones switch to Nova.
Boss: Dark Phoenix

She dashes as the Phoenix.

She summons two smaller firebirds.

She does a straight line arena wide delayed explosion.

She blocks using her psychic shield.

She summons adds.

She does a psychic pushback. She summons a phoenix that goes up straight up the middle of the screen. Clearing this area will unlock Phoenix as a playable character.
