Metal Gear Solid: Delta Walkthrough Part 1 : Virtuous Mission
Setting up
After selecting New Game, the game will ask you which is your favorite MGS Series – pick whichever you like. I picked 1. Depending on your choice you will have your initial equipment.

Next up with the playstyles you can either choose modern controls or legacy controls – which is the same controls and camera angle as the old game.

After this, you have to select your difficulty level. The European Extreme level is locked out now. This walkthrough is played out in the Extreme Difficulty.

Next pick how you want tips to appear. Once all that’s done, you are good to go.
Watch the introductory cutscene and prepare to initiate Virtuous Mission.
Speak to Major Tom over the codec and get your instructions. You need to go back and get your backpack.
Dremuchij South
After you have control turn to the right away from the cliff. If you check your map you can see the target marked with a yellow dot. Go prone and crawl under the fallen log on the right. You will see the backpack hanging off a tree.

Climb the tree and pick up the backup. Watch the next cutscene play out. These are the basic tutorials on the game’s controls. Pay attention to the Death and Revival pills part of this conversation. It will be important later. This will also introduce the Para-Medic and the saving frequency 140.96. You will also be introduced to the Boss.
Kerotan Frog 1 and Gako Duck 1
After the conversation is done, look to the right and top you will find a Gako Duck and a Kerotan frog collectible.

Once the conversation is done, head straight thorough the opening ahead into Dremuchij Swampland.

Dremuchij Swampland
Take the path snaking up the left and eventually you will come up to a marsh, with sleeping crocodiles.

Follow the swamp around, past the crocodiles and go up the other side. You can find a Gako duck here in the middle.
Gako Duck 2

You can pick up a MK22 on the left here.

Kerotan Frog 2
Up the path on the right – you can find another Kerotan Frog.

Follow the narrow path up and you will cross into Dremuchij North.
Dremuchij North
A short cutscene will introduce the basic enemies of the game. The following conversation will explain the basics of camouflage. The percentage number at the bottom, on the side of your health bar, will tell you how hidden you are. In this part, the Leaf uniform and the Woodland face paint will increase your camouflage to 65%. Crouching or moving while prone will take it up to 90%. If you turn to the right from the tree stump and jump down the clearing you can pick up the SVD Dragunov Sniper Rifle.

Sneak towards the enemies ahead – there are mushrooms at the base of the tree here. Pick it up with your knife. Inside the tree trunk on the left is Bug Juice. Go through the hollow trunk and into the long grass on the other side. Then cross over to the other patch of long grass.

Keep to the right and go past the trees. If you round the corner on the right, with the two trees – you can pick up a Stun grenade behind them. There are some mushrooms too, use your knife on them.

Kerotan Frog 3
On the left you can find one of the green Kerotan Frog collectibles – on top of a tree stump.

Both guards will come into the clearing as part of their patrol so keep an eye out. Take them out and go around to find another Gako Duck.
Gako Duck 3
Its hidden in the rocks on top on the right.

Go round the clearing and up through the narrow path into Dolinovodno.
Dolinovodno
You will have reached the iconic bridge in Dolinovodno. Watch the short cutscene with the bees. Then shoot one down.

Kerotan Frog 4
Look up at the top of the left pole of the bridge and you will see another Frog.

This will cause the bees to attack the guard. Once he runs away pick up the Nest and the ointment from the base of the bridge. Cross the bridge into the next area.

Pick up the mushrooms on the right and left. Take the path on the left to and shimmy across.

Across the ledge you can find the XM16E1 (Assault Rifle), Pentazemin and ammo for the MK22.
Gako Duck 4
Go back and head to the right to find another Gako Duck on top of the ledge.

Go through the opening between the hills and through the narrow passage into Rassvet.
Rassvet
Rassvet is where the abandoned factory is. Another cutscene will ensue. Major Tom will tell you to get to the North East side of the factory. Once you start the approach you will notice two guards at the far end.

Crawl to the right of the wall, near the steel fences. Stay hidden in the tall grass. Once you are on top, near the drums – you will see another guard. Keep moving to the right. Hug the fence and follow the path.
Shotgun Location
Go into the main building and on the right near the stairs, behind the crates is a M37 Shotgun.

Kerotan Frog 5
On the left by the stairs is a break in the wall. Through it is another frog.

Go past the stairs and climb up the ledge into the open area.
Gako Duck 5
There’s a guard on top. Take him and out and to the left on the shelf is a Gako Duck.

Go through and trigger the cutscenes. Once the scenes are over chase after Sokolov. Head back the way you came back to Dolinovodno.
Dolinovodno
Once you enter Dolinovodno, a long cutscene will trigger. Eventually you will be taught how to heal your wounds. Do that now and watch the final cutscene of this prologue.
This concludes this part of the walkthrough for Metal Gear Solid: Delta.
