Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a chance to step back into Snake’s legendary origin story, rebuilt with breathtaking visuals and modern controls. The dense jungle, tense stealth encounters, and survival mechanics all return, but this time they feel more immersive than ever.
In this part of the walkthrough, we cross the lake and fight the Boss. We have also included the locations of the Kerotan Frogs and Gako Ducks 62-64.

Finale: The Boss
Zaozyorje West
Once you have healed both you and Eva. You’ll also have to feed EVA during this section to ensure her stamina stays high, so give her food if you have it as well. Snake will give EVA his revolver before the scene ends.
Pick up the ammo from the forest floor. You’ll receive a call from Zero and Para-Medic. Zero explains the controls for guiding EVA—she’ll mirror your movements, and if you’re unarmed, you can call her over with the action button. Keep in mind that EVA’s stamina drains much faster than Snake’s, so you’ll need to keep her well-fed on the way to the lake. Hunt nearby animals, gather food, and grab any items scattered around the area to keep her going. After that, continue along the path until the next cutscene begins.
Run forward through the forest until you find a large log. Keep calling to Eva and go past it. Cross over a log bridge.
Gako Duck 62
Look down to the right.
Kerotan Frog 62
On the other side is the frog.
Keep moving and throwing smoke grenades behind Eva to confuse the chasing pack. When they stop in the clearing, you have a good chance to take them all out. There’s four of them, so be sure to make your shots count. Head through the clearing and turn left, then head towards the cliff behind one of the logs. A short cutscene will play out.
Zaozyorje East
As you enter, there’s a guard stationed to your left, not far from your position. Take him out quietly. In the clearing ahead, a few more soldiers are patrolling. Wait until the one in the back starts walking away, then silently deal with the soldier closest to you.
This will draw the others’ attention. Pick them off one by one as they move toward the downed guard, and once they’re cleared out, you’ll have free access to the area. Move through the forest and take one of the paths on the left until you spot ferns on the ground. Crawl through them to reach an overlook above the clearing. From here, you’ll spot additional enemies.
Kerotan frog 63
There is a path leading off to the left with a huge tree trunk, look behind it.
The soldiers are spread out and hiding along the edges of the map, so use your Thermal Goggles to make spotting them easier. Watch for one behind the log directly ahead, another behind a log to the left, one lying prone in the bushes, and another concealed behind the tree on your right. After you’ve cleared the area, call Eva over and make your way down the cliff.
Gako Duck 64
Go to the left mountain wall to spot the duck.
Stick to the left side of the open space to progress.
Rokovoj Bereg
Watch the cutscenes play out.
Final Boss: The Boss
The Boss relies heavily on her mastery of CQC, making full use of the battlefield while wielding her signature weapon, The Patriot. Use the Snow uniform and face paint to have an advantage on her and use the Thermal googles to locate her.
If you’re running low on health, you can recover completely by eating one of the three special snakes hidden inside the logs around the area—each one is a little easter egg.
Getting caught in her CQC can be punishing, as you’ll risk losing health, ammo, and even your weapon. If she grabs you, mash the attack button to break free and turn the tide. Be aware that she’s resistant to your own CQC—one takedown won’t floor her, but following up with a second will. Each time you manage to knock her down, you’ll have a brief window to fire off a few shots. A sniper rifle works well here, provided you avoid scoping in when aiming directly at her. Land your shots, then back off quickly, as she’ll counter almost immediately after being hit.
At longer distances, The Boss will fire The Patriot, so stick to midrange or close combat and focus on winning the CQC exchanges, making sure to land two strikes each time.
Kerotan Frog 64
Look up at the trees to find the frog.
Gako Duck 64
Same for the duck, its on another tree top.
Repeat the strategy and you’ll eventually defeat her.
If you manage a non-lethal victory, the Snake Camo will appear—make sure to collect it before the cutscene begins.
Inside the WIG Ocelot will show up and a fight will start. Ocelot loads a single bullet into each of his revolvers and demonstrates his skill by switching them around before setting them on the ground, giving Snake the first chance to grab one.
Once you regain control, just pick the one that feels right and fire when prompted. Watch the ending play out.
