Metal Gear Solid: Delta Walkthrough Part 2: Ocelot

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a chance to step back into Snake’s legendary origin story, rebuilt with breathtaking visuals and modern controls. The dense jungle, tense stealth encounters, and survival mechanics all return, but this time they feel more immersive than ever.

In this part of the walkthrough, we start Operation Snake Eater, fight Ocelot and we have included the locations of Kerotan Frogs and Gako Ducks 6-15.

Operation Snake Eater

After the newly remade title sequence, you will wake up inside a Blackbird ready to deploy back to complete three objectives: stop Volgin’s faction; destroy the Shagohod; and eliminate The Boss. After the cutscene and the codec briefing – you will be in Dremuchij East.

Pick up the mushroom near the tree here on the right. Go through the opening on the left. Pick up the next mushroom.

Keep heading left and up the small slope to find a Ga-Ko duck.

On the left of the duck is a frog.

Head down the slope and turn left to get out of this clearing and into Dremuchij North.

In this section, keep going straight till you hit the opening and a cutscene will start. Speak to the Boss, who has since changed her look. After she leaves, call in again. Speak to Major Tom. Soldiers have heard the explosion and are closing in.  Switch to Black camo and black facepaint to decrease visibility. Hide in the long grass ahead.

Once the soldiers are past you or you take them down, move away from the area. In the next fork, turn right and head down to the log. Go around till you reach the chokepoint leading out of here. Go up the slope to exit into Dolinovodno.

Back at the suspension bridge now, there are two guards right at the entrance.  

Go prone in the long grass or they will spot you. Get behind the one on the right and take him out.

Take the next one out and cross the bridge. Pick up the mushrooms on the other side. Turn left and you will immediately see another soldier. Go to the right and go down the slope and shimmy across for some supplies including the Raindrops uniform.

Go back and if the guard spots you just CQC him and knock him out, otherwise just sneak past him through the clearing into Rassvet.

There are no soldiers here in the abandoned factory anymore. Enter the central part of the facility, where the showdown with Ocelot happened. Go straight and you can find the cardboard box on top of some crates on the left.

Thermal Goggles Location

Go through the facility to the room where you met Sokolov. Inside the lockers you can find the Thermal Goggles.

Exiting this room will trigger a cutscene and you will meet ADAM or rather Eva. After the cutscenes are over and you have let Eva escape. You will be in Evasion mode. You have to fight your way. Switch to the Tiger Stripe camo and Woodland face paint to help with the camouflage. There are 10 soldiers in the area. (This changes depending on difficulty).

Hide under the bed till the guards come looking for you. Chuck a stun grenade at them.

This should take out 3 or 4 guards. Pick up and drop them to get supplies off them. Go back into the room and drop down the hatch that Eva escaped through, go around the area taking out the soldiers camped outside. Climb up the ladder to the roof.  Take out the guard camping there. Drop down and go around, behind the drums on the east corner is the Zombie facepaint. Go around and take out the guards near the entrance fence. The next couple of soldiers are around the trees.

Once all the soldiers are down – try to exit through the main path leading out of the compound. This will trigger a cutscene. It’s Ocelot again. Watch the pretty cool sequence play out and Eva will open the exit gate for you. Head through that gate now, pick up the bug juice on your way out. If you want to get all the Frogs and ducks – head back to the Dremuchij Swampland.

Once you enter the swampland and go around the corner on the right past the lone gavial and look behind the trees.

Look at the top of the log on the left of the central island.

Go to the right and back to Dremuchij South.

Back at the place where we landed the first time, kill the Markhor if you want. Look at the open horizon and peer to the right and you will see a duck.

Turn around. Get on top of the log and look to the right and you will see another frog.

Head back to Dremuchij North.

Back at the spot where the Boss blew up the drone, if you look up at the lone tree, you will see a duck.

A little bit up ahead and to the right – if you look up through the trees, there is a frog on the hill.

Head back to Dolinovodno now.

Back near the suspension bridge. Take out the guards here and cross the bridge.

Look up at the right on top of the hill.

Above it is a frog.

Head back to Rassvet now.

Inside the factory, under the stairs you can find a frog.

Climb up the stairs and look straight up and you will see a duck. You can also reach this one by climbing the roof.

On top of the stairs is an AK-47. Go around and exit through the gate at the back.

Chyornyj Prud

Before you start swimming, you can pick up some snakes from the shore. Swim to the right and if you get leeches on you, use the cigar to get rid of them. Head to the shore on the right.

Eva will call in right about now. Once you are back in control look to the left.

On top a tree branch you can find a duck.

Go down into the river and dive down near the cliff. You will find a frog under water.

On the other side of the river you can find the GA-KO uniform.

Swim across the river and pick up the ammo and grenade. Get up and climb the tree and then shimmy across the rope. Let go and drop to the next rope to cross over to the higher cliff.  Drop down and you can pick up the Croc Cap.

Crouch under the rope trap and pick up the mushrooms. Keep going to enter Bolshaya Past South.

Bolshaya Past South

Here, you will face an electric fence. Go to the right and go prone and underneath the fence.

This area is full of mines, so step carefully. You can use the thermal goggles to see them.

You can pick up these claymore mines if you pick them up from behind them.  Crouch through a break in the fence. Be careful as there are dogs around.

Gako Duck 13

Climb the tree near the fence and you can find a duck on top.

Cross over to the other side of the fence and drop down. Keep going straight and take out the guard on the other side through the hole in the fence. Go through the hole and take out the two guards near the fence.

Stay in the foliage and take out the guards or go past them. Keep to the right and go through the swamp.  A guard is facing away from you. Sneak up behind him and take him out. Climb up the ledge on the right and strafe across to the other side.

You can pick up the Splitter camo on top of the ledge and you will also see two guards on the left.

Kerotan Frog 13

There is a Kerotan frog here behind the tree.

You can take out both guards from here behind the tree. If you pick up the guards and drop them you can pick up stun grenades. Right beyond the gate here is another guard. Go around to the right and take him out. If you go to the right through the narrow opening you will now be entering Bolshaya Past Base.

As soon as you enter this area, hit the ground. There’s a guard on the left that’s patrolling. He will man the machine gun if he sees you. Go behind him and take him out. Hide the body and turn around. There’s another guard near the helicopter. Drop down in to the trenches. Carefully climb out near the crates. A guard is looking straight this way. Distract him and take him down. Go to the left, take out the guard here and you can pick up the Facepaint Snow from under the trench here. Inside the base you can find a SP/M1911A1.

There is a Kerotan Frog under the table here.

There’s a mousetrap under the bed.

If you climb up to the roof, you can pick up the camouflage Water. There’s a radio room on the right of the exit where you can pick up supplies. You can find Antidote, medicine, and bandage here. There is another storage building further down.

On the top of this building is a duck.

Go to the right and exit this area to enter Bolshaya Past Crevice.

Once you enter this area, you will meet Ocelot again. Watch his dumb little act with the guns and prepare for a boss fight.

Take cover behind the stones on your side. Ocelot will do the same.

Kerotan Frog 15

Turn to the back and you can see a frog in the distance near the bottom of the trees.

Focus your fire on the wasp nests above. Time your shot to when Ocelot is standing under them. Once the wasps distract Ocelot, take shots at him. Once he is rid of the wasps, go back into cover. Keep watch on his ammos – once he runs out he will reload. You can use stun grenades on him as well.

Gako Duck 15

On the left side on Ocelot’s side you can find a Gako duck.

Sometimes he will peek from behind his cover, take shots at him then.

You can also shoot at him when he stops to reload. There are supplies around the covers on either side – ammo and grenades. You can also find a snake or two. There is also a tree that you can climb to engage Ocelot from higher ground. It is quite a simple fight and once Ocelot goes down, a cutscene triggers. Once it’s over, you will be in Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch.
