Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a chance to step back into Snake’s legendary origin story, rebuilt with breathtaking visuals and modern controls. The dense jungle, tense stealth encounters, and survival mechanics all return, but this time they feel more immersive than ever.
In this part of the walkthrough, we escape from Groznyj Grad and destroy the Shagohod. We have also included the locations of the Kerotan Frogs and Gako Ducks 53-61.

Destroying Shagohod
Groznyj Grad
During the motorcycle chase, your only goal is to keep both yourself and EVA alive. You’ll have unlimited ammo for the entire section, so just focus on clearing out any soldiers blocking EVA’s driving path. For defense, the Cold War Camo is by far the most effective option, but if you didn’t unlock it, the Sneaking Suit is still a solid choice since it reduces incoming damage.

When you reach the first section with the watch tower in the back. Look up into the tower with the spotlight. Use a sniper rifle to shoot it out.

Once Eva turns into the tank storage area. Look up at the watch tower in the background.
After you get under the bridge, Ocelot will also show up to try and remove EVA and Snake from the bike.
Groznyj Grad Runway South
Just like before, you’ll need to take out the enemy soldiers so EVA can move forward. Use any weapon you like while she circles the area. Once she stops look for the duck and the frog.

Use the sniper scope to look into the forklift on the left.
Once it’s clear, she’ll drive on to the next location.
Groznyj Grad Runway
Another cutscene here. You’ll get another chance to deal with the soldiers chasing you. Since they’re all on motorcycles, focus on taking out the drivers to bring them down quickly. Keep up the fight until the chase ends and the next scene begins.

On the runway marker 7, you can find a frog sitting atop it.
Gako Duck 55
On Runway marker 11 you can find the next duck.
In the next part of the chase, your main objective is to stop the Shagohod from closing the distance. Use the RPG to blast its treads and stall its advance. When it fires missiles, quickly switch to an automatic weapon and shoot them out of the air before they hit.

On runway marker 18, you find a frog.

In between runway marker 25 and 26, sitting on the fence is a duck.
Groznyj Grad Rail Bridge
Another cutscene plays out.

Once you have control, and have to shoot the explosives. Look for the frog between the rungs of the bridge.

Near the start of the bridge to the right on the mountain is the Duck.
You’ll need to fire twice—take out the first target right away, but wait to hit the second one until the Shagohod is on the bridge. EVA will handle the directions, so you won’t have to track its position yourself. Just follow her lead, take the shot when she calls it, and a cutscene will follow.
Boss: Shagohod
You’ll be using the RPG for this battle. The strategy is straightforward: keep targeting the drill treads to slow the Shagohod down. Once it locks up and stops moving, aim a rocket at the core to deal heavy damage.
When its health is gone, a cutscene will trigger. Volgin climbs out of the cockpit and fuses himself with the Shagohod’s wiring to power it back up. EVA steps in to distract him, putting herself at risk so Snake can finish the fight.
Boss: Shagohod Volgin
Use the RPG to damage the treads, then follow up with shots at Volgin using a sniper rifle—either the SVD or the Mosin. (There’s no benefit to a non-lethal approach here.) This combo deals solid damage.
Since you’re on the ground, Snake is more exposed, so be ready to move after each attack. Volgin cycles through three main attacks: missile salvos, sweeping machine gun fire, and a wide laser beam. You can avoid them by strafing, though the missiles will need to be shot down midair to prevent damage.
Keraton Frog 58
Aim towards the radio tower to shoot the frog.

Turn to the back and look over to the bridge. You see find a duck in the corner.
Keep repeating the strategy on Volgin until his health is gone. If you burn through your ammo, there are gun turrets in the area, though they’re not nearly as effective.
Once he’s defeated, a cutscene will play.
Groznyj Grad Rail Bridge
Hover crafts will show up and another motorcycle sequence follows.
Gako Duck 59
As you go through this area, you will find soldiers waiting for you in ambush under a watchtower. You can find a duck sitting on the vehicle’s bumper. The best idea is to snipe it now or you can do it as Eva gets closer.
Kerotan Frog 59
The frog is in the next section that is similar between the two guard rails.
Lazorevo South
Equip the sniper and turn around asap as you enter this area.
Kerotan Frog 60
Look at the base of the stones and towards the left you can find the frog.
Gako Duck 60
In the second part of the forest, look to the left and the duck will be sitting on top of a branch.
Towards the end of the chase, use your RPG to clear the path for Eva to go through.
Lazorevo North
Kerotan Frog 61
As Eva is gunning down the forest, turn and face the front. On top of a rock you will see a frog.
Gako Duck 61
Little bit up ahead on the right, there is a rock on the river. There is a duck on it.
Zaozyorje West
Another cutscene will start as soon as you enter this area. Open the cure menu and heal both yourself and Eva.
