Mina The Hollower Walkthrough – Southern Outskirts

Southern Outskirts

Commons

Head south from the entrance of the commons. Go to the right from the intersection and take out the laser shooting knights here. Next dig under the purple balloon and push it up north near the blue chest.

Use it to jump over to the left and pick up the Bonestone from the chest. Go to the right and across the chasm, jump on the purple balloon and head through the door.

Cave Network

Go to the left and then down. Push the purple balloon on the last island to the left.

Wait for the rotating balloons to line up, then jump to the leftmost floating island. Pick up the bones here and jump on the balloons but go downwards to the path on the left.

Use a Kear to open the lock and go through. Go through the tunnel on Mina’s right. Time and jump over the two moving balloons and on to the platform where a sword throwing knight is. It’s a mini-boss and has no name. Dodge the thrown swords and sidestep when he dashes. Do not get hit by the thrown swords – they really hurt. You cannot damage him when his shield is up.

Once he is down, push the purple balloon south into the gap and use it to reach the chest. Jump back to the central platform and push the newly spawned balloon to the right and jump over to the right side. Another chest is down this path containing a Joule Box upgrade which increases your sidearm uses. Jump down and use the rotating balloons to get on the island up top.

Go north and clear the area there for bones, careful of the flying enemies. Go back south and clear that area off bones. Its quite a simple platforming section, so just go around pick up all the bones on all the platforms. Eventually you can make your way out through the door on the top right corner.

Commons

Head south from where you exit the caves. Clear the candles to pick up the Deflector Parasol sidearm. Clear the debris and grass on the left and pick up the skull. Now push the purple balloon to the south and jump over.

Pick up the bones and then throw the rope down and climb down. Go to the left and you will find a block, use a Kear on it.

Go north from here and clear all the enemies out and step on the pressure switch. This will lower the spikes. Open the door marked with 1 (denoting you need to sacrifice 1 vial) and go through.

Rebel Barracks

Go immediately to the left with out engaging the 4 knights in this room. Step on the button in the next room and go up. You will find Rhene here, talk to her.

Now, go back to the first room and take out all 4 guards. You can easily do this by taking one out and resetting the screen by going to the screen on the left. Step on the button on the top left corner. Go to the right and up the stairs. Go past the swinging balls and the flying enemy. Jump on the moving platforms. Get off at the far left and head down.

Jump down and take the enemy out. Cross over to the right and press the button. Go up into Rhene’s cell and go to the left. Press the button there.

If you don’t have a vial, get one by breaking the candle here. Go speak to Rhene and give her a vial. Rhene will now follow you. Jump across the gap and up the doorway.

In the next area, first go down and then go right. Avoid the spinning death trap and pick up the bones and the candle. Next, dig through the opening on the right.

Take out the knight and step on the button to let Rhene come through. Take out all the enemies here and avoid the swinging death balls. Go south and press both switches there to lower the rest of the spikes.

Go around the room picking up bones. Then go to the far left to press the switch there to lower the spikes.

This will clear a path for you to get Rhene and make it out of this room through the door on the top left corner. Go down and clear the entire room, then press the switch on the top right corner.

Exit the room. You will be back at the Commons.

Commons

Rhene and Mina will have a short chat. Once she leaves, go up and to the right. Get on the moving platform and head north into Ossex.

Ossex

Once in Ossex, save at the Underlab, go to the Emporium and buy the Trinket Bag. I would suggest buying a Kear as well. Go into the Hollower’s Guild next.

Hollower’s Guild

As Muriel and Rhene clean up the place, You need to find Drillhardt. Buy themes for the guild if you want to. Head out and go out of Ossex.

Southern Outskirts

Go to the right from the exit and you will find Loonard.

North from here is Eastern Heath.
