The Silo Access Badge & Reaching Feral Undergrowth

From the gate of the Metropolis, continue heading west and take the hidden path under the ice slope.

Break the ice wall up ahead to return to an earlier part of Dwelling. From here, you should be able to find your way back to The Severed Spine.

Return to the bottom floor (Workshop) of The Severed Spine, and head to the door.

Mel should already be here, ready to sell you some items if you’ve got the Nacre for it.
Use the grapple point outside the door to reach the upper level.

Pick up the item inside to collect the Silo Access Badge.

You can offer some more Nacre to Shii to restore the Network. This will allow you to check the Map. She also suggests checking Metropolis and Haven.

Return to the Attuner and unlock the door to the right using the Silo Access Badge.

This leads you to a dark cave. Continue making your way forward. There are a few enemies you’ll have to fight as you progress.

You will see the landscape change as you take your first steps into Feral Undergrowth.
Exploring Feral Undergrowth

As you continue forward, you’ll see a path heading forward and another leading down.

Going west leads to a dead end for now. But there are two enemies that you can take out.

Take the path leading down. Continue progressing through the zone till you reach an open area. The enemy marked in the image above will jump at you, so watch out for that.

Continue west to find the Traveller’s Log note on the ground.

Use the platforms to head up the area.

After jumping across three platforms, you’ll see that the path continues further up and to the left. However, the main path is to the bottom-right.

Take the upper platforms first. Jump across the gap instead of heading further up.

You can loot an Old Core by salvaging the mechanical part. Follow the path and use the grapple point to find a Coating Component.

Return to the platforms and go all the way to the top.

Go up, and you’ll see a grapple point above you on the right. Head left first.

There’s a Crystalliser that you can use to store Nacre Droplets. Break the flower on the left to unlock a shortcut back to an earlier part of the zone.

Retrace your steps and use the grapple point you saw earlier to reach the next area. Continue forward to reach another fork.

The upper path leads to a Nacre Basin in the Bell Tower Basement.

From the fork, go down and continue forward to reach an open chamber. There’s an NPC (Arjuna) in the top-right section. To reach him, jump to the platform on the left.

Then double jump across the gap and hit the flower mid-air to refresh your jump. Jump again to reach the platform on the right.

Talk to the NPC to receive an Old Core. If you keep following the bottom path past the enemy, you’ll reach a new location. But we’ll save it for later.
For now, track back along the path to the east. Strike the pink flowers to refresh your jump and exit the area. Make your way back to the platform where you made the climb (before the Crystalliser).

There will be an enemy waiting to ambush you. You can find some Crystallised Nacre right below it.

Use the grapple point to cross the lake. There’s a hidden chamber above the grapple point that you can reach using the Hairpin. You’ll find a Coating Component here.
Continue west along the main path to reach the boss of the zone.
How to Beat Flora, Sentient Pearltrap

Flora, for the most par,t is the easiest of the three bosses we’ve faced so far. This boss serves more as a way to flesh out your Hairpin and jump control than anything else.
The boss has a variety of moves at her disposal. However, as long as you stay off the ground and stick close to her, she can’t hit you with most attacks.

All you have to do is jump in front of her face and keep attacking her. Landing an attack refreshes your jump so you can continue hitting her as long as you don’t get interrupted.

When her health drops below half, she’ll fill up the area right before her with poisoned water. Falling into it takes off a health bar, so make sure to avoid it.
You can also use the grapple point in the arena to create some distance between you and the boss if needed. Keep the pressure up, and the boss should go down without any trouble.
Returning to The Severed Spine

Talk to the NPC that Flora spat out. This is your Personal Assistant, and he’ll relocate to The Severed Spine.

Use the grapple point on the right to reach the western side of the lake. Continue forward to spot an object on the ground. This is the Aviaries Passepartout, which will let you access the next zone.

With the Passepartout in hand, return to The Severed Spine. Go and talk to Mel in the workshop. She’ll give you a new sidequest where you have to find her Scraplings. Each one you find expands her inventory with more useful items.

Use the elevator in Mel’s Workshop to go to L1: The Spine.
Continue heading right across the long bridge. Now that the Network is restored, you’ll find Estrogen the Librarian near the giant sphere.

Talk to him, then continue along the path to reach the door to the Aviaries.
Unlocking the Dodge Ability

Head through the door and interact with the Strange Tube to talk to Samsk again.

Like before, she’ll teleport you to a virtual realm after the conversation.

Complete the segment that teaches you how to dodge.

Once the segment ends, head right to spot a Letter from Tomo. Note the grapple point above the room.

The grapple point leads to some Crystallised Nacre.

Drop back down and continue heading west. The next room has a gauntlet.

Continue forward after defeating the enemies to reach an obstructed elevator. This is the Aviaries part of Haven. But you need to come in from the other side.

Backtrack to the large bridge in The Spine. Drop down through the hidden path.

You’ll land on a branch where you’ll find a Coating Component.
