Monument Valley Walkthrough – Chapter 9, Part 1

Chapter 9

Part 1

Begin by examining the red flower at the top of the stairs. Ida will pick it up. The flower grants Ida the ability to push the water back, so now go down the stairs and down the next flight of stairs as well, which you can descend now that the sea is no obstacle to you.

Next, go down the ladder to the right of the structure. Go down the stairs and through the arc to reveal the rotation handles. Rotate it counterclockwise as far as it’ll go, so that you have a ladder leading up to the blue button.

Go up and press the button.

After the structure changes shape, go down the ladder again and turn the rotation handles all the way clockwise, so that you can access a new ladder by going up the stairs. Go to this spot and then down the ladder, and once again, rotate the handles counterclockwise all the way until a path is formed for Ida to go left.

Rotate the handles clockwise again, but only enough for Ida to step onto the next tile and go down the ladder, then up the next ladder. Turn the handle all the way counterclockwise to raise Totem up.

Move Totem next to Ida so that she can step on it, and then move her towards the door. Head into the door.
