Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough covering the Final Part of Moss: The Forgotten Relic Book 2.
With both Sarffog and the Warden gone, only one member of the Arcane remains: Tylan the Owl, the same one responsible for Uncle Argus’ death.
There is no turning back now. Quill has everything she needs to put an end to the Arcane once and for all and finally save Moss.

Head Back To The Throne Room

With the Warden defeated, the only enemy left is Tylan, but for now Quill can finally leave the Foundry. The exit is located where the Warden was standing, and you can use Cariel’s Hammer to cross the gap.
This will take you back outside near the Greenhouse, so simply make your way back to the Throne Room.

As soon as Quill arrives at the throne room, she pauses for a moment. Her heart sinks as she remembers Argus, hoping he would be proud of how far she has come. Now it’s time to finish this and face Tylan.
The door above the throne is accessible now, so take the stairs up and prepare to confront the last of the Arcane. You will quickly notice that the Arcane have already begun opening the rift, but not for much longer.
Reach Tylan

Cross the bridge and defeat the enemies along the way. You will notice several strange-looking mirrors. Passing through one will teleport you to another mirror, but it also changes your orientation.
What was previously a wall or ceiling can become the floor, allowing Quill to traverse the environment from a completely different angle.
This mechanic had us completely confused at first and even gave us a bit of a headache from constantly switching perspectives.
Mirror Room 1

Start by going through the mirror ahead. It will take you to the mirror above.

Use the dash ability to cross the gap, then follow the path until you reach the lever. Interact with it to open the door, then backtrack and go through it.
Mirror Room 2

In this room, climb to the upper floor and pull out the blue box. Use the Chakram charged attack and stick it to the marked surface nearby.
Pull the box back in and move behind the round device so you can recall the Chakram and destroy it. This removes the barrier directly ahead of the box, allowing you to continue.

Now head back down and go through the mirror below. It will take you to the upper section where the box is located.

Stand on the box and pull it outward once more. From this position, you will have the perfect angle to destroy the second round device.
This removes the barrier near the floor button. Step on the floor button to unlock the door, then use the Ripper’s charged attack on the hole above. Once the path opens, continue forward.

As soon as you enter the next area, Tylan flies overhead and summons enemies to stop you. Defeat all of them, then go through the mirror on the right side.
Mirror Room 3

Head to the hammer button and place a charged Hammer Trap, but do not activate it yet. Return to the area where you fought the enemies and stand on the round platform.

Activate the trap to raise the platform, allowing Quill to reach the doorway ahead and continue to the next section.
Mirror Room 4

This room was easily the most confusing one for us.
Start by going through the mirror and standing on the floor button. Use the Chakram charged attack on the marked surface nearby.

Head back through the mirror and stand on the round platform, positioning yourself so the Chakram’s recall path passes directly through the round device.
Recall the Chakram to destroy it and remove the gate to the south.
Next, go through the mirror again and reach the hammer button. Place a charged Hammer Trap, but do not activate it yet.

Backtrack through the mirror once more and stand on the round platform. Activate the trap to raise the platform and gain access to the next mirror.
Go through it and use the dash ability to cross. Head left and stand on the blue box. Pull it upward so you can reach the hammer button.

Before interacting with it, look toward the round device in the upper-right corner and destroy it using the Chakram charged attack. This removes the barrier blocking the path.

Once that’s done, place a charged Hammer Trap, but wait to activate it until you are standing on the round platform nearby.
Activating it from there raises the platform and takes you directly to the lever needed to unlock the path.

Thankfully, the next room doesn’t contain any major puzzles. It’s mostly platforming through different orientations while navigating between mirrors.

Eventually, you will reach the altar where Tylan is waiting. There is no turning back now. It’s finally time to end this once and for all.
Defeat Tylan

Tylan is the last remaining member of the Arcane, and figuring out this fight can be a little confusing at first.
Tylan’s primary attack is a high-speed vertical charge across whichever side of the platform Quill is standing on. Fortunately, you will receive a visual indicator showing the path of the attack, making it easy to avoid.

Between each charge, Tylan summons enemies that must be defeated. Afterward, he dives into the arena and creates fiery spear attacks around the impact zone twice.

On the third dive, Tylan marks a large area on the ground. This is your opportunity. Quickly place a charged Hammer Trap within the marked area and move out of the way.
As soon as Tylan crashes down, activate the trap to damage him and remove part of his armor.

Repeat this process several times until Tylan becomes enraged and imbues himself with fire. At this point, Aderyn opens the door ahead while Tylanlaunches a massive fireball toward you.

For now, simply run. Do not stop and do not look back. Keep moving forward until you reach a second arena, where the battle continues. Tylan uses the same attacks here, but they become significantly more aggressive.

You will notice a pink energy device on the left side of the arena. Destroy it immediately using the Chakram charged attack. Doing so removes the barriers protecting the rope on the right side.
Switch back to the Sword and use the dash ability to cut the rope above. This releases the giant bell, making it usable during the fight.

The key here is timing. As soon as Tylan performs his vertical charge attack, pull down the bell so he crashes directly into it.

The impact stuns him, creating an opening for Quill to unleash several attacks. We highly recommend using Cariel’s Hammer here because he absolutely deserves it.
Wait for the attack indicator to appear on the ground, then immediately pull the bell. There is a slight delay before it drops, and this timing worked consistently for us throughout the fight.
The End

After several successful stuns and plenty of hits, Tylan is finally defeated. Exhausted from the battle, Quill collapses beside his body, breathing heavily after everything she has endured.
Then, all of a sudden, the wind shifts. It seems that the Sprites have finally arrived, although only after Quill had already done everything herself. They carefully pick her up and carry her away to safety.

With the threat finally over, Quill gives up on gathering all Five Glass pieces, allowing them to disappear into the void instead. In the end, Quill succeeds in saving Moss, but the victory comes at a cost.
The bond between Quill and the Reader is finally broken, and the Reader vanishes from her world.

As Quill looks toward the future, Moss is safe once more, but the memories of her journey, the sacrifices she made, and the friendships she forged will remain long after the final page has been turned.
