During Jack’s visit to the Secret Show in MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, he encounters a strange mouse who turns out to be a hitman. The hitman interferes with Jack’s investigation and kills all the witnesses he needed to question.
He manages to get away, but not before giving Jack a subtle clue that his bookkeeper has a taste for western themes, and we know the place must be somewhere around Tinsel.
Table of contents
Locate The Bookkeeper

Drive your car to the Western Backlot in the Tinsel Bros area. You will start the location in the basement, and you need to progress forward.
Go to the upper floor and activate the switch to unlock the corresponding door.

This will attract the attention of enemies, and you need to defeat all of them.
After you have done that, go through the unlocked door to the northeast on the ground floor and exit. This will take you to the main area.

Jack will get the Coffee power up, and you need to make your way to the bank ahead. As soon as you approach it, enemies will spawn, and you need to defeat all of them.

Deal with the enemies, then go inside the bank to speak to the Bookkeeper.
Jack threatens him in order to make him tell the truth, but it does not go as planned. The Bookkeeper ends up running away, and you need to chase after him.
Give Chase!

Pick up the key from the desk and unlock the door. Go to where he was standing, and you will find a newspaper that you can pick up.

Exit the building and head north, where you will see the Bookkeeper running away. A train of carriages will block the path, which means you need to find another way around.

Opposite your current location, a door will open, and you can progress from there.
There is a secret where you can reach the upper room of the bank. Use the carriage to the northeast, then climb onto the roof and enter through the window.

Inside, you will find a table with a lot of money and a letter. Head back to where the door unlocked and go all the way south. Climb up the rocks to reach the rooftops.

Press the button to activate the grappling point and use it to get to the other side. Make your way to the funeral parlor building, and as soon as you reach the rooftop, the floor will collapse.

Exit the building to the north, then you need to do some platforming to reach the building where the Bookkeeper ran to.
Go ahead and enter the warehouse. You will be able to spot the Bookkeeper still running away.
Keep Chasing

Of course, the second he reaches his next escape, the platform will move west, and you need to take the long detour to reach it.
Enter through the main entrance door, then climb the stairs at the end of this path.

This will lead you to a separate room where you need to defeat multiple enemies before you can progress. Once that is done, go to the door and use the updraft vent to reach the next building.

In this carriage, you need to wait for the grappling point to appear before you can reach the other side. From here, the path is mostly straightforward.
Poster Girl – Tammy Side Task

In this area, where the little mouse mentions where the Bookkeeper went, you will be able to find a poster to the northwest that you can pick up.

This is for Tammy, so keep it safe until you return it to her.
Back To Chasing

Now head to the vent entrance to the north and go through it to reach a train station. You will be able to spot the Bookkeeper running away, and you need to catch up to him.

Of course, this will not be easy, as more enemies will try to block your way, so you need to defeat them. There is a Hot Pepper power up that you can use to set them on fire and help you move through quickly.

Go to the end of the railway and exit the building through the door to your right. From the window here, you will be able to see that the Bookkeeper runs into a trap, and a piano falls on him, killing him.
Sift Through The Bookkeeper’s Belongings

This does not stop Jack from reaching his remains and checking if there is anything that contains a clue about the mysterious Hitman and his boss.
Before you go to his location, head north and go all the way back past the tombstone. You will find a secret that contains a baseball card.

At the end of the railway from this side, you will see a breakable wall that you can destroy to unlock a shortcut to the previous room.

Now go to the Bookkeeper’s remains and pick up the note from the ground. This will hint at the actual book location that might contain what Jack is looking for.
Find The Bookkeeper’s Ledger

The ledger is supposedly found at the end of the train stop, which is somewhere inside the mines. The entrance is on the lower level to the south of here.
Before you go inside, look north and shoot both targets to create two grappling points. Use them to reach a secret that contains some money and a safe with a schematic.

Go inside the mines and move forward until you reach a breakable wall. Use dynamite or your cannon to break it and open the path.
From here, make your way across using your grappling hook and move upward to reach the higher level.

Interact with the switch here. This will drop the Hot Pepper power-up, and you will have to go through multiple waves of enemies.

After you deal with them, the bridge will lower, and you will be able to cross.
Follow The Railway

From here, follow the railway to the end of its path, where you will find the Red Gate key that you can use to open the door where the ledger is.
Run!

As soon as Jack picks up the key, a train will come your way, and you will need to escape.

The escape route is straightforward; you just need to do some climbing along the way and then reach the bridge so the train can open the path to the locked room.

Now, with this key, unlock the door and pick up the ledger from the desk. This clue has a lot of useful information that Jack can use, so it is time to head back to town.
Bring The Poster To Tammy

The first thing you want to do after getting back to town is visit Tammy at her workshop and give her the poster.
She will be happy about it and will reward you with three schematics.
Confront Vivian

It is time to confront Vivian about your findings regarding Betty’s case. It seems that Curd was not the one to blame for her murder, and just when Jack reached his mansion and found his daughter, Curd mysteriously died at the Secret Show.
It is all too convenient and not a coincidence, given Jack’s instincts, and it seems Vivian has been involved in this situation in a major way. She killed Curd, and just when you are about to cuff her, she disappears and escapes.
Pin Your Western Backlot Clues

It is not over with Vivian, but it is time to piece your clues together at the crime wall. That is about it for now, until Jack chases after Vivian and brings her to justice.
