Make Your Way Uphill

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

You will start at the mansion, just outside the entrance, so you need to find a way to get inside.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

As you reach the garden, you will be able to see the building that suits the description, Perch With a View, and now you just need to figure out how to reach it.

Reach The “Perch With A View”

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Progress forward through the garden, and you will see a few police cars rushing at you. These crooked cops will not leave you alone, so you need to defeat all of them before moving forward.

Work Your Way To The Front Balcony

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Make your way forward to the main door of the mansion, then go inside. You will find a bunch of cultists and cheesleggers who beat you to it, and you need to defeat them all before you can progress.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Steve’s mansion is huge, and you need to find a way to reach the front balcony that will give you access to the Perch With a View tower.

Before you go to the main path, there are a few secrets that you can reach from here.

Side Secret

Go to the upper floor, then go down the spiral staircase; this will take you to the basement area. Here, you will find a vent entrance to the south; go through it. It will take you to a warp pipe that you can use to reach a secret.

Here, you will find a safe that you can tailpick alongside some money and ammunition. There is no need to backtrack, as there is a hole in the floor that you can drop through to return to the mansion.

Activate The Switch

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

When you are done, inside the first room, go to the upper floor and then head south. Go through this room and follow the straightforward path until you reach a switch, then activate it.

After activating the switch, you will notice the floor has collapsed in the typewriter room, so you need to backtrack there. Along the way, some enemies will spawn, and you need to defeat all of them.

Once you defeat them, the fireplace here will put out the fire, and there is a secret vent that you can go through.

You will find a comic book here, and if you keep following the path, it will take you directly to the underground area where you need to go.

Just as you are about to go outside, some structures will fall and break the wall ahead. This will also cause your floor to collapse, and you will end up in the basement.

Find The Missing Lever

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Navigate the basement and progress forward until you reach a mechanism that is missing one lever, you need to find it as it is located somewhere here.

Follow the path northeast and use the wall jump ability to reach the other side. Drop down to the water area, and you will find the lever handle you need.

Unlock the door, then put the lever back in its place and activate it. This will open the barrel door in front of you, and you can access this room. Inside, you will find a new weapon called the Portable Freezer.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Just as the name suggests, this weapon shoots a beam of ice that freezes enemies in place. There is also a schematic sitting on some boxes that you can pick up.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Enemies will spawn here, and you need to defeat all of them. Feel free to use your new weapon and experiment with it. You will also get a “shortcut unlocked” prompt.

Back To Finding A Way To The Front Balcony

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Exit this room, and you will see that the path is open now. You can go outside to the garden and make your way back to the mansion again.

At the entrance, look south, and you will be able to use the jumping pad and some platforming to reach the upper platform.

Activate the switch at the top, and this will reveal a hidden jump pad that you can use to reach the balcony in front of you easily.

You can still glide to it from here; that works as a shortcut. There is also a safe inside that you can tailpick.

Find A Use For The Stone Hand

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Glide to the other side, and you will spot a strange hand. It seems that it is missing a stone sphere that is required to reach your destination.

Go through the door here and climb up the stairs. Tailpick the lock here, and you will access the attic area of the mansion.

The stone sphere that you need can be found just north of here, inside a small room. Go there and pick it up.

Place The Orb In The Stone Hand

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

With this item in hand, head back to the hand location and place the sphere on it. This will cause a few platforms to move around, and the Perch With a View room will be unlocked. All you have left to do is glide there and see what you can find.

Find All Golden Mon-Keigh Statues

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Before you go and get the tape that Steve wanted, it is time to find all the pieces that Steve’s diary mentioned.

First Golden Mon-Keigh

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Head back to the spiral staircase in the first room, and this time, take the stairs all the way to the top. Go through the hallway, then head right.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Crouch to pass the wooden planks, and at the end of this hallway, to your left, you will find a statue. Pick it up and go to the library room north.

You will find the study room on the upper floor where you can place the statue on its pedestal. You will see that you are missing two more.

Second Golden Mon-Keigh

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Head back to the fireplace room where you found the comic, and this time, you will see the bed area is unlocked.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Here, you will be able to spot the second statue alongside Steve’s Purple Spades item that you can interact with. Take the statue back to the study room and place it on its corresponding pedestal.

Third Golden Mon-Keigh

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

For the final piece, you need to go to the swimming pool west of the mansion, just outside, and dive into the water. You will see a secret tunnel that you can swim through.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Go through it, and it will take you to a secret room. Inside, there are a few crocodiles that you need to defeat. Once you do that, the locked door will be unlocked, and you will have access to the third and final statue.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Just like the previous statues, pick this one up, then take it back all the way to the study room and place it on its pedestal.

With all three statues in their right place, a secret wall will reveal itself to your right, and you need to follow the path downstairs.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

This will take you to a secret room full of weapons and ammunition, and there is also another secret figurine that you can pick up that resembles Jack.

Reach The “Perch With A View”

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Now that is done, head back to the balcony and platform your way to the hidden room. Inside, you will see your wartime picture with Jack, Steve, and Stilton back in the Old World, but most importantly, the desk.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Interact with the drawing board, and it will flip to reveal the tape being stuck to the back of it, hidden. That is the evidence Steve mentioned, now all you have to do is play it and see what it contains.
