MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

The Secret Show investigation takes a sharp turn toward the end in MOUSE: P.I. For Hire after the hitman interferes and manages to escape.

At least Jack manages to save a group of shrews before they are trafficked like the others, and a sibling pair expresses their gratitude by offering him a special invitation to a steamboat party, which might be worth checking out.

Get Close To Cpt. Simms

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Make your way to the River Fever Line, and you will start your journey on the boat at the lower level in the engine room, and you need to make your way to the top.

Go through the hallway and open the door to the left. Here, you will find a couple next to the engine who want to speak to you. This is optional.

During your conversation with them, you will learn they are newlyweds and want you to take a picture of them on their honeymoon. Do that, then continue the conversation for more information.

Take the stairs up and go toward the east, then exit the engine room to reach the main floor of the boat party. Now it is time to blend in and move around, which means you cannot use guns or access certain locations.

Move west, and before you take the stairs up, go underneath them, and you will find a secret, a suitcase that you can open, but it has no collectible inside.

Now take the stairs up to reach the first floor where the main party is. You will be stopped by the bouncer here, and he will ask you for a card to access the main event. Jack does not have it, so you need to find an alternative path or steal it.

From here, there is a secret you can reach. Go to the left, and instead of taking the stairs up, use the ones going down. Go to the edge of the boat and use your grappling hook to get to the other side.

Enter the toilet door to your left, and you will find a secret that contains a comic book sitting on the toilet seat.

Get The BMP Membership Card

From the bouncer, take the left route, then take the stairs up to reach the second floor. Go to the main hall and take the path to your right. Here, you will find that the path is blocked, so you need to take a detour.

Use the Cabin VI room to your right, and inside, you will find a vent. Go through it, and you will reach the Cigar Room III.

Inside, you will find a person to the east with a side quest marked by a question mark. Go speak to him.

During the conversation, the BMP Yes-Man wants you to find his unfaithful wife and take a picture of her and whoever she is with.

Take the stairs up, and to the northeast, you will find the membership card sitting on a table. Since everyone is distracted by blue cheese, pick it up.

Now back to the BMP request, exit the cigar room through the porthole double swinging door. Go east, then go down two floors.

You will come across a shortcut door that will take you directly back to the bouncer, but also through the window to your right, you will find the unfaithful wife is indeed with another mouse. Take a picture.

With the picture ready, head back to the Cigar Room III and speak to the BMP mouse. As a reward, you will get 50 bucks.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Speak to the bouncer and show him the card. This will unlock the door to the membership event. Go to the end of the hallway, then enter the room to the left. Here, you will find a crack in the wall that you need to squeeze through.

Go to the next room in front of you, and here you will see a vent entrance. Go through it, and this will take you to the kitchen area.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Inside, you will find a warp pipe that you can use to reach the upper floor kitchen area of the membership event.

Exit through the porthole door, and you will be able to see Cpt. Simms in the center of the room, standing with his group. Go toward the south side, where you will find the perfect angle to take the picture.

As soon as you take the picture, Jack realizes he forgot to disable the flash, which catches the attention of Cpt. Simms. During this scene, a plane arrives to help the captain escape and starts firing at the boat.

It is time for action. Now that you are exposed, you need to defeat all the BMP officers. After dealing with them, it is time to stop Cpt. Simms and his crooked cops.

Defeat Cpt. Simms

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

Cpt. Simms will be in a plane and will constantly send explosives your way. They will be briefly marked on the floor before they explode. Your weapons cannot damage the plane, and you need to use one of the two cannons here.

Since the shots are projectiles, you will need to aim slightly ahead to land your hits, as there is a delay between each shot.

More BMP enemies will keep spawning, so you will want to deal with them quickly to focus on damaging the plane.

Abandon Ship!

After the plane takes enough damage, it will crash into the boat, causing it to catch fire and begin sinking. This is the moment when you need to run for your life.

You can exit from the ground floor. The path is straightforward, so simply follow the detective brush.

Along the way, you will find a dying crew member who will tell you to go to the wheelhouse to get the emergency inflatable plane and escape.

Wrap Up The Case With Corny And John

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire

The cop of the year, Cpt. Simms, turns out to be the mastermind behind the shrew shortage and the crooked cops, and now he is dealt with. This wraps up one case.

Back in town, you will have a conversation with John at his bar, and Jack wants to crack open the good stuff to celebrate finishing the case. After that, you owe Wanda her story and Stilton his details about the full case.

The case is wrapped up, but it does not hurt to pin all the remaining clues of the Shrew Shortage case in order to complete it.

This is not the end of the story, as you still need to figure out what happened to Steve and continue going after Vivian.
