Try to survive in Finland in the dead of winter while also building a project car from nuts and bolts. In this walkthrough, you will learn how to progress in My Winter Car, including defrosting frozen windows and turning off the car.

My Winter Car – Part 1 Walkthrough
When you start the game, you will find yourself in 1991 in a Finnish apartment. You must maintain key stats like Problem, Hunger, Stress, Urine, Fatigue, Body Temp, and Sweat during the journey. Turning on the radio right in front of you gives you a unique vibe while in the house.
Explore the apartment thoroughly to find anything useful or to gain any clues. The weather outside is very cold and can negatively influence your character. Approach the telephone and crouch to collect the Winter Jacket and Winter Overall from the floor. Once you move outside the apartment, your Body Temp stat will start reducing due to the cold.
How To Turn On the Car
Make your way outside of the apartment and approach the car from the left to scrape the window, which allows you to get inside the car. You need to first remove the electric plug from the front of the car. Then, get inside the car and close the door.
Press the designated button to enter Driving Mode and pull the choke before starting. Make sure to press the gas pedal while starting. It’s crucial to rev slightly after it starts, so that you warm the engine.
Use the window heater for the windshield and rear window. Keep holding the mouse and move it to clear the ice. Once the engine temperature is normal, the air conditioning will start working. The ignition uses multiple internal states.
How To Refill the Gas
Insert the gear and start driving the car. Make sure you roll down both windows to remove the ice.
Continue driving on the path until you find the fuel station. Park the car and open the lid of the fuel tank to refill it with fuel.
Gas requires prepay at the pump terminal, so insert your bank card or bills into the payment terminal.
Make sure to choose the amount you want to spend on fuel while using the card. Type your PIN code and hit the Green button on the keypad to confirm.
Keep in mind that the first PIN you enter at any Pump or ATM is your permanent PIN. If you have already used the ATM, use the same PIN you entered there. Once the card is released by the terminal, take it back.
Use the pump on the right side, as the left side one is bugged. The total time you have to take the nozzle and begin refueling your vehicle is only 1 minute.
Turn on the Alarm
Now, start the car and keep moving. Go all the way back to your apartment and get inside your bedroom.
Interact with the Alarm Clock and turn it on. You can set the time by holding the Time Set button.
Then, go to the main living room and approach the table and chairs on the left. Here, turn on Crouch mode and set the house temperature to 20.
Start Driving at Night
Get out of the car and move to the part of the car near the front glass. Hold the designated button to Scrape Window.
Get inside the apartment and make your way to your bedroom. Interact with the bed to sleep, allowing you to mitigate Fatigue.
Now, go to your car and remove the electric plug. Move inside the car and turn it on to start driving. Make sure to turn on the lights before starting to drive, or else you might have an accident.
Make your way to the PUB NAPPO and get inside to purchase cigarettes. Approach the seller NPC and use your money to buy them. You can also purchase Vodka paukku for 30 mk and Olut 33cl for 8mk.
Get Inside the Mart
Drinking the vodka mitigates Hunger and Problem. Now, get inside your car and start driving straight towards the Peraportti.
Get inside the café and interact with the ATM on your left. Insert your Credit Card and use the same code that you use to pay for the fuel.
Select the amount you want to deposit from your account. You can purchase any food item you want here, but make sure to purchase the best food items, which highly influence your hunger.
Once you collect all the items you want to purchase, approach the counter. You can see the total amount that you need to pay to purchase the selected items. Pick up the bag after paying the bill and then place all the purchased items in the car.
Get Inside Your House
Get inside the car and start the engine to start driving towards your house. You can also drink vodka while driving to relieve stress and hunger.
Get inside the house and go to your bedroom to sleep on the bed. Once you wake up, pick the grocery items. Take them inside the house and put them on the floor near the fridge.
Place the items, such as Sausages, in the fridge one by one. Once your Urine level is full, make your way out of the house and start peeing until Urine reaches zero.
Go out of the house once it’s morning. You need to scrape the window of your car to get rid of the ice. Clicking and dragging the mouse allows you to remove the ice from the window.
It’s easier to drive the car if you remove all the ice. Remove the Choke and start the ignition to turn on the engine.
Turn on the window heater and blower. Don’t forget to set the temperature by changing its direction to the left. Now, get out of the car and remove the cable plug. Then, hop into the car and enter driving mode.
Make your way to the mart and park the car in front of the fuel station to refill the gas. Open the tank’s lid and interact with the fuel terminal.
Insert the credit card and choose the amount to pay. Hold the Drop Nozzle and direct its direction towards the car’s tank. The tank is full once the fuel bar is fully completed.
Purchase the Meal
Get inside the mart and purchase more items. Pay for the selected items and take the items to drop them inside the car.
You can also purchase the meal from the café in the mart. Approach the counter and select the meal you want.
Approach the NPC over there and mention your order. The food will be ready in a while and will be placed on a tray. Pick up the tray and place it on the table in the sitting area.
Make sure to consume the food to mitigate Hunger.
Once done eating, pick up the tray and throw it in a garbage bin. Make your way out of the mart and get inside the car. Turn on the engine and start driving the car.
Go all the way back to the apartment and interact with the telephone to make a call. You need to dial ‘08231206’ to call for the mailer position.
Turn Off the Car
Get inside the car after scraping the window and make your way towards the mart. Make sure to turn off the car before leaving. The engine only shuts down fully after the game resets the driving state.
Use the hand lever and exit driving mode before the key to register the off position. The key can get stuck between on and off if it is still in the driving position.
It’s essential to pull the hand lever fully forward and release the pedal fully. Once done, turn the ignition key toward off and exit driving mode.
Turn the key again and remove it after it clicks. It can take several tries, so make sure to master it as soon as possible. You need to refill the gas using a credit card.
Interact with the notice board on the right after entering the mart. There’s an advertisement for Corris Rivett that you can purchase using the money. Now make your way to the apartment and place all the grocery items inside. Remember that the sausages must be placed inside the fridge.
Approach the telephone and dial ‘08609553’ to call the owner of the Corris Rivett. You need to make your way towards the car’s location to buy it.
