Nine Sols Walkthrough – Part 2

Welcome to Into Indie Games’ walkthrough for Nine Sols. In this part we cover the quickest path to getting the Mystic Nymph, Tai-Chi Kick and The Four Treasures of the Study.

Head to New Kunlun Central Hall

After killing Baichung, take the elevator next to him up to New Kunlun Central Hall. Run to the left and check the console for the Council Digital Signage. Head to the right to observe a giant spinning contraption.

Ruyi calls in and you learn you have to kill all the Nine Sols. Pick up the New Kunlun Launch Memorial from the console on the right and keep going. Open the big door next to the console and head inside.

The Four Seasons Pavillion – Picking up the Mystic Nymph

Head to the right in the dark and eventually you will reach a contraption that requires Activation, with a Mystic Nymph. Head up the next platform on the right with a grappling hook.

Go to the right and activate the machine here – you will pick up the ability Mystic Nymph: Scout Mode

Holding the corresponding button to activate it and fly the Nymph into the gap in the wall to unlock to the door.

Use the Mystic Nymph on the red contraption and fly up to hack the terminal. This will wake Ruyi up.

Watch the cutscene unfold – the Four Seasons Pavillion will now become home base for you. You will also be able to use your Jade System, which is your augment tree. Head to the left and to the next cutscene. ShuanShuan will show up and another cutscene will unfold. Next check the 3D printer on the top floor for any Jades you can create. I would suggest the Medical Jade – which increases Health Restored. You will also find Shahnai 9000 which needs a 1000 Jin to repair. After all this, go to the Root Node and you will meet Lear if you haven’t already. He will give you the Fusang Horn that allows you to fast travel between Nodes. You can now acquire skills at the Root Node.

I suggest Swift Runner. Pick up whichever skill you like and then exit the Pavillion through the door on the left. Next Ruyi will call in and our goal will be to reach The Power Reservoir.

Head to the Power Reservoir

Head to the right and you will come across a locked door, use your Nymph to unlock it.

Go through and take the elevator down. Kill the enemies that swarm you now and soon the ride will end. Go to the left and drop down till you reach this location below –

The door on your left will open and so just run through, take out the enemy here and head through the narrow corridor – all other ways are blocked. Hang on to the wall and then wait till the moving platfors is close enough and jump on to it and cling to it. Drop down to the next one, go up and around to the narrow gap on the right.

Picking up the Tai-Chi Kick

Go up and around and you will come on to a Root Node, you will be teleported to Lear’s realm again. You will now learn how to Tai-Chi kick, or how to jump on the glowing orbs. You will also learn that you can counter a Crimson Attack (the unblockable attacks) if the enemy has a green glow by Tai-Chi kicking. Back in the facility, check the console next to the Root Node for the Anomalous Root Node. Head to the left and down till you reach this location –

Tai-Chi kick your way over to the other side. Keep moving till you reach a stationary statue with a sword and hack it.

This will unlock one of two locks below. Go back to the left and drop down the floors.

Head to the left and exit the Central Transport hub to unlock a door leading back to the elevator. Head back to the right till you reach the second statue, tai chi kick its spear and hack it. You will receive Jins and The Four Treasures of the Study. Go to the right and activate the transporter. You will have now reached the Power Reservoir (East). Head to the left and use the Mystic Nymph to hack the lasers.

Take the elevator up and Kuafu will call you. Use the next Root Node to save. You can also head back to the Pavillion to give ShuanShuan The Four Treasures of the Study.
