Nocturne Walkthrough – Chapter 1

Welcome to our Walkthrough for Nocturne (2026).

Chapter 1: Two Sides of the Same Coin gets things moving quickly, taking you from the hospital into the strange world outside. Along the way, you’ll learn the basics of combat, meet Kimothy and Satoru, explore the surrounding areas, and learn how to deal with corruption. There are also plenty of useful items and optional enemies to find as you make your way through the chapter. This walkthrough covers the main path, important items, optional encounters, and everything you need to reach the chapter’s final fight against Yako.

Chapter 1: Two Sides of the Same coin

Wake Up at the Hospital

After waking up in the hospital room, head out and to the right. Go down and talk to the Angel in the reception. Go down and pick up the soda from the vending machine in the waiting area.

Check the Turnstile at the bottom and then go back and talk to the Angel again. then go back and talk to the Angel again. You will receive a Keypass. Exit through the turnstile to the outside. Go to the right and check the save point next to the gate. Then head up the stairs.

Meet Kimothy and Complete the Combat Tutorial

Watch the cutscene with Kimothy and then play the tutorial battle. If you win this fight without missing a note you will get the achievement ‘Full Combo”. After this Kimothy will ask for the soda, you can choose to give it to him or keep it. If you keep it you will get the achievement “It’s still got a lil’ fizz”. Head back to the Welcome Center. On your way you will see a Crawler. You can avoid it or fight it. Watch the cutscene at the Welcome Center.

Meet Satoru and Learn New Combat Skills

Go to the save point again and head through the steel gate. Kimothy will give you a Soggy Bandage, you can equip it from the menu.

Head up the stairs and you will see a Firefly to the left. Sneak past it or kill it. There is a Mantis to the right, once again, you can sneak past it or take it out. Go to the right, past the tree and down the path on the bottom right corner.

You can find a potion in the chest here. Go back now and then head up to the next area. There is a firefly on the left, near the chasm and a mantis patrolling the path on the right. Go around the firefly and check the chest.

There is a “Salvaged Capacitor” that you can sell. Go right now and up to the next area. You will see a Scorpion walking under the bridge, you can choose to engage it if you want. Otherwise sneak past it and head to the rooftops below.

Kick the ladder down and then take care of the scorpion on the right. Check the chest at the bottom for another Salvaged Capacitor. If you go back up the stone bridge and go right you will find a corrupted bridge you can’t cross over. So head up north.

In this area, go to the right to find another chest. There is a Potion inside. Go north past the stairs to find another chest.

Another Salvaged Capacitor. Go back down and head up the stairs. Take out the Firefly. Go up and then to the right. In the next area, go up and onto the bridge to see a short scene. Head north to meet Satoru. After Satoru leaves, go up north and to the left behind the waterfall to find a chest.

There is a Mega Potion inside. Go around and up the stairs of the house and then up again to talk to Satoru some more. Once he leaves check the washing bowl near the stream to wash the gloves Kimothy gave Karma.

Next, Satoru will give Karma a Bo Staff. Play through his tutorial now, opening up the combat a bit more. Once Satoru leaves, follow after him. He will teach you how to fix corruption now.

Cleanse the Corrupted Bridge

Go back to the front of the house and meet Kimothy. With Kimothy in tow head back to the stone bridge that we found corrupted earlier. You will have to fight a Scorpion before you get there.

Next, clean the corruption on the red bridge and cross over to the other side. Check for a chest on the other side near the building. Go around the building and through the fence. There is a scorpion patrolling nearby. In the next area, go around the pallets and over the other side. There should be a Mantis that you need to deal with. At the bottom of the area, you can find a chest with a Salvage Capacitor. You will have to fight a Pillbug here.

Go back up and to the right to exit this area. In the next area, go around the barrels and take care of the pillbug. Go up and around to kill the scorpion and then check the chest on the left for Green Tea.

There is another box on the right side of the area. Head north now and you will see a fox. He will ask you to visit Nocturne and Karma will decline. Head to the right from the large silo and through the fences. In the next area, take out the Firefly. To the right is a Substation that is gated with chainlink fences.

Find the Substation Key

Go the left and around to exit to a new area.

Check the keypad near the shuttered door. Save on the left and go to the right and then up to find a chest with a Potion inside.

Now go back to the left, past the save point and up the yellow stairs and into the next area. Go the left and take out the Scorpion. Up and to the right is another chest with the Substation Key. Go out and around through the top (behind the room) and down to get to a new area with a chest, it has a Titanium Pendant inside. Head back up and to the right through the previous areas, till you can reach the substation with the generator inside.

Remove the corruption from the generator. Now go back and check the keypad again. When Kimothy opens the gate, go in. Inside, turn the light switch on. The elevator isn’t working, so head down the stairs and check the chest for a Salvaged Capacitor. Head down and to the right to find that the stairs are broken too. Take the stairs leading down and save down there. Cross the bridge on the right and take out the Moth. Follow the bridge to the right to get to the next area. In this area, head through the central part and take out the Mantis. You can go to the right and clear that area for a Unstable Oscillator from a chest. If not keep following the path down till you run into a moth, take it out. Follow the path down into the next area and you will see a strange contraption. Watch the cutscene and head right to find a chest.

Up top is the elevator. Cleanse the corruption and the elevator will return to normal. Before heading through, go back and turn to the right and go up into a previous area, where you can access a chest with a Salvaged Capacitor inside. Head down and through to another area, clear out the scorpion first and you will find a chest on the left that has a Mega Potion.
