Norse: Oath of Blood is a turn-based RPG with tactical battles and a story of vengeance. To get revenge, you have to grow much stronger and gather reliable allies. For more information, head over to its Steam page.
Now that you have completed the first few missions and have built the settlement, you’ve become familiar with how the game works. It can be a little challenging to complete projects, but the main challenge arises with completing quests.
In this guide, you’ll find complete walkthroughs for The Woodcarvers Chisel, No Lamb For The Lazy Wolf, and Tides of War quests in Norse: Oath of Blood.

My The Woodcarver’s Chisel, No Lamb For The Lazy Wold, and Tides of War missions are based on how I proceeded with the game and the tactics that I found to be the best. In your case, the enemy may act completely differently, and you may not face the same formation attacks. That is completely normal, as our tactics may not align with each other.

The Woodcarver’s Chisel – Walkthrough
As you continue progressing in Norse: Oath of Blood, you will get a story mission called The Woodcarver’s Chisel. On starting it, you will get to choose five characters. Alongside Gunnar, Sigrid, and Arn, I recommend getting Buldi and Gormr. Make sure you have unlocked your characters’ abilities and equipped them with the best gear you have.
Attend The Feast
As you depart for the mission, your objective will be to attend the feast. There is an open barrel and a chest ahead. Loot both, and there will be another open barrel along the way to the right. After looting that, head left, and there will be some more loot. After looting everything, head down the path and then go left to find a runestone.
Inspect the runestone to get the blessing of Njord. Then continue toward the main path. When you reach the location, you will have to defeat Jarl Varg in combat.
Defeat Jarl Varg And His Men
You will be surrounded by his men, so this battle can be a little tricky. All of them will use Alert, so you will not be able to move freely. Also, as the battle starts, Jarl will use Engage on Gunnar. Varg has two armor, so your attacks will not deal too much damage to him.
To deal maximum damage, you need to break his armor, and that may not be possible with Gunnar alone. Using Sigrid, I recommend hitting some of the enemies to break them out of Alert. Then, use your other characters to defeat the ones whose Alert you just broke.
When it is Sigrid’s turn again, you can also use Arrow Volley to break some enemies out of Alert. I recommend using this on the northern enemies, even if it also hits Gunnar, as the damage will not be too serious. Then, use normal attacks to break the Alert of the ones on the left or right.
After that, take care of the enemies, and some reinforcements will arrive. If you are struggling, I recommend using Buldi more tactically here. Try to free him from the enemys Alert first, and use his leap abilities to reach the enemies who are using Alert. He will be able to skip tiles and take care of the other enemies easily.
Take Care Of The Reinforcements
If you still have not defeated Jarl Varg, I recommend doing that first. You can also cripple him so he will not move too much. After crippling him, attack him using Gunnar and, if you have enough points, move Gunnar away so Varg will not be able to damage him.
Defeat him and then focus on the rest. Eventually, four more enemies will join the fight, including two archers. You do not have to worry about them immediately, as they will be a little further away. Take care of the enemies that are already near you, then get ready to deal with the reinforcements.
I recommend taking care of the archers first and then the remaining enemies. They will not be too difficult to handle, so eliminate them one by one. Once you have defeated them all, a cutscene will begin, and when it ends, you will have to face one more enemy.
Defeat Frida Vargdottir
From the looks of it, Frida is a powerful warrior and has 40 health. This is not an easy fight, so you will need to be careful. Place three of your characters on the front line and keep the rest at the back, especially Sigrid.
Use Arn and Gunnar to damage her, then use Sigrid’s Mighty Shot. After that, cripple her. On her turn, she will charge her attack, which is why using Mighty Shot and Cripple beforehand is important. After hitting her, I recommend stepping away or guarding, as her attacks can deal a lot of damage.
When she charges her attack again, step back and let her complete the combo. You will not have another Mighty Shot immediately, which is fine. However, whenever Mighty Shot is available, I recommend using it when Frida has charged her attack.
Another thing I recommend is using combo attacks. Try to position one character in front of her and another behind her, then use Gunnar’s Shield Bash. The combo between Gunnar and Arn deals a lot of damage. You can also use Buldi instead of Arn if needed.
Frida may not always use a full turn to charge her attack, as she can sometimes do it while you are attacking her. If you get hit, it will deal significant damage, which is why I recommend keeping some distance when possible.
Continue dealing damage and land the final blows to secure victory. After you defeat her, a cutscene will begin, and the quest The Woodcarver’s Chisel in Norse: Oath of Blood will be complete.
Note: The next battle will come very soon and will be very intense, so make sure all of your characters have better equipment prepared.
No Lamb For The Lazy Wolf – Walkthrough
As you complete The Woodcarver’s Chisel in Norse: Oath of Blood, you will have to finish a few tasks, and after a little while, the next quest will begin. This one will be different from the ones you have completed before. As the No Lamb For The Lazy Wolf quest in Norse: Oath of Blood starts, a cutscene will begin.
The cutscene likely features the Sons of the Wolf, as they are cursing the village by asking Fenrir for help. You now have to defeat them.
Fend Off The Attackers
Arn will be facing two attackers, and the same goes for Sigrid and Gunnar. Attack using Sigrid first, then move Gunnar as close to the enemy as possible. After that, use Guardian so you do not take any damage from the enemy. Buldi and Asmarr will be facing three enemies, and one of them, Ulfhedinn, looks like trouble.
Using Asmarr, attack one of the two enemies on the left and then guard. After that, using Buldi, attack Ulfhedinn twice, hoping that both hits connect. Gormor will also be facing two enemies, but he is quite strong, so attack one and then step back a bit. You can also use Alert after stepping back.
When it is Arn’s turn, use Mighty Hew to damage both enemies. Then use a normal attack on one of them so that only one is left. Move your character back and wait for his next turn.
Make Sure Hallbjorn Survives
After you have taken Arn’s turn, you will also be able to control Hallbjorn. The game will give you an objective that he must survive. He will be fighting alongside Arn, so defeat the remaining enemy. Then it will be the enemy’s turn, and after that, you will be able to play as Sigrid again.
Defeat both of her enemies if possible, and then, using Asmarr, attack one enemy twice. After that, use Buldi to take care of Ulfhedinn, leaving only one enemy remaining. Then move the characters who have cleared their sides forward and help take care of the rest.
Take Care Of The Reinforcements
After you have taken care of most of the enemies, several more will join the battle. Move Hallbjorn, Gormor, Arn, and one more character to the right side. There will be stronger enemies on the right side, so I recommend moving your best characters there.
I also moved Sigrid to the right and used Cripple on Ulfhedinn. Even if you leave only two characters on the left, it should be fine, so focus most of your team on the right side. As the enemies try to group together, you can take advantage of that by using Arn’s Mighty Hew.
After using an attack or ability with your characters, I recommend using Alert, especially if they are equipped with a bow or spear.
Don’t worry about defeating every single enemy. Once you have defeated enough of them and only a few remain, a cutscene will begin, and they will retreat.
With that, the quest No Lamb For The Lazy Wolf in Norse: Oath of Blood will be complete.
Tides Of War – Walkthrough
After you have completed No Lamb For The Lazy Wolf, you will soon receive another quest called Tides of War. Select your five characters, and your first objective will be to take out the main camp.
Take Out The Main Camp
The first thing you have to do is deploy your troops. As you start the battle, Svala will attack. After that, it will be your turn, so move your characters close to the enemy and begin attacking. There will also be enemies on the left side, so be careful.
As you attack, Svala will retreat. You only need to defeat the remaining enemies for now. Use Sigrid’s Arrow Volley to deal damage to multiple enemies. Then attack and move your characters closer to them. This will be a fairly simple fight at first. Take care of the enemies in front of you, and if they use Alert, use Sigrid to break them out of it.
You can also use Buldi’s leaping ability to land on a tile next to them. This will prevent you from getting hit if the enemy is in the Alert stance. If the enemies on the left are in the Alert stance, move near them and, when it is Sigrid’s turn, hit them to cancel their Alert.
Once you have defeated them all, there will be some open barrels in the camp. Loot everything and then head in the direction Svala retreated.
Head To Where Svala Retreated
Follow the path ahead, and you will find some berries. Eat them to heal your characters. Just above, there will be a hanging bag. Shoot it down and loot what is inside. Then cross the wooden bridge, and you will see another hanging bag. Shoot it down, and on the right side, you will find more berries.
If another character is low on health, switch to them and eat the berries. Then continue following the path to the left, and you will see red eyes ahead. Move forward, and you will need to deploy your characters again. Svala will escape once more, and you will now have to defeat six enemies before you can chase her.
Defeat The Enemies And Chase Svala
This battle will not be too difficult, but you still need to be careful. Start the fight with Sigrid and use Arrow Volley to damage multiple enemies. Then perform a normal attack and use Gunnar to finish off the enemies who are low on health. After that, it will be their turn, and they will most likely use Alert.
Ignore the ones who have used Alert and take care of the one in the front using Arn. Then, using Buldi, leap past the tiles that are covered by Alert. This will allow you to eliminate another enemy. After that, use your last character, and when the enemies’ turn ends, use Sigrid to break their Alert. Defeat the remaining enemies until only the archer is left.
Move closer to the archer and defeat him. Once everyone is defeated, there will be more open barrels in the camp. Loot everything and follow the path ahead. There will also be dried meat in the camp, so eat it to recover health.
As you continue, you will find more red berries. If any character is low on health, switch to them and eat the berries. Then move forward, and you will see more red eyes.
Defeat Even More Enemies To Complete The Mission
After you have deployed your troops, one of the enemies will move first. If two enemies are standing back to back, I recommend using Mighty Shot on the one in the front. Then move your characters close to the enemy and start attacking with your close-range fighters.
The enemies will not have much health, so you may be able to perform back-to-back executions. This fight will not be very difficult, so defeat them all. Once you have eliminated most of the enemies, Svala will appear and move to the high ground. She deals a lot of damage, so before shifting your focus to her, defeat the remaining enemies.
Defeat Svala
Use Sigrid’s attacks on Svala, especially to Cripple her and deal consistent damage. After you have defeated all of the other enemies, move your remaining characters closer to her. Eventually, more enemies will join the fight, but as Svala attacks continuously and can be very dangerous, take care of her first.
Try to use Mighty Shot on Svala to stagger her. You do not need to move all of your characters toward her. Instead, send a serious damage dealer such as Buldi or Arn. You can also move Gormr to her if he is in your team. Use the rest of your characters to handle the reinforcements.
Make sure to keep attacking Svala with Sigrid. Use all of Sigrid’s abilities and attacks on her whenever possible. Combine that with your close-range characters to bring her down quickly. Once you have defeated her, move your characters down and finish off the remaining enemies.
After you have defeated everyone, loot Svala’s body to obtain the Scout’s Bow. With that, the Tides of War quest in Norse: Oath of Blood will be complete.
