Now that you have completed Borre, the first chapter in Norse: Oath of Blood, the next ones are going to be a little tricky. In this guide, I will provide you with complete walkthroughs of the next chapters, Wild Hunt and Settling In, in Norse: Oath of Blood.

Wild Hunt Walkthrough – Head To The Longhouse

Longhouse in Wild Hunt Norse: Oath of Blood

As the Wild Hunt chapter starts in Norse: Oath of Blood, your first objective will be to head to the longhouse. Head north and then go left. There is no point in going right, so head left and enter the longhouse. As you enter, a cutscene will commence, and when it ends, you will get some objectives to complete.

Participate In The Hunt

The main objective is to participate in the hunt, but you need to make some preparations before you can actually do so. The preparations include acquiring some spears and food for the hunt. Before you do that, head to the left of the longhouse, and there will be a rune stone. Interact with it to get blessings for each of your characters.

Acquire Some Food And Spears For The Hunt

Talking to a trader during the Wild Hunt quest in Norse: Oath of Blood.

To get food, head out of the main gate and then go right. On the path, on the left side, you will see a trader. Talk to her, and she will provide you with some food. When you are done talking to her, go ahead and take a right. On the path, on the right side, there will be a blacksmith named Angar. Talk to him, and he will provide you with the spears.

So, now you are ready to participate in the hunt.

Meet Up With Jarl Eigil Near The Gate

Once the preparations are complete, a new objective to meet up with Jarl Eigil will appear. So, head back up the path, and he will be standing near the gate. Then, enter through the gate that just opened. After going a little ahead, a fight with some wild boars will start.

Defeat The Boars

There will be three small boars, one medium-sized boar, and one big one. They will get the first turn, and when it is your turn, attack the boar that is near you. Then, if Sigrid is surrounded by the boars, move her somewhere else and cripple the bigger boar.

Then, attack the one you first attacked with Gunnar. If some boars are near each other, you can use Arn’s Mighty Hew to deal damage to all of them, up to three at once. Then, you will play as Jarl Eigil, who has an ability called Mighty Shot. Use it on any of the boars. Then, using your last character, attack the boar that is near you and, if you defeat it, move to another one.

If any of your characters are low on HP, I recommend applying a bandage instead of attacking. Then, defeat the boars, go ahead, eat berries, and then take a right. Then, go ahead and take a left. Follow the pathway and investigate the broken cart to get ten Bog Iron.

Explore The Area

There will be a barrel on the right side; open it, and then head left to open two more barrels. After opening them, move in the opposite direction and keep going ahead while picking up the loot along the way. Keep going ahead, and eventually you will come across a big boar named BloodTusk.

Kill The Big Boar

BloodTusk during Wild Hunt quest in norse Oath of Blood

The big boar will get the first turn, so when it is finished attacking you, use Strength and Aggression on it. Then, guard and finish your turn, and using Sigrid, cripple the boar. After that, shoot the big boar a couple of times and then, using Arn, attack it twice.

Then, using Jarl Eigil, use normal attacks, and then, with the other character, attack the boar and then use Alert. Then, the big boar, BloodTusk, will be just a few hits away from being defeated. So, as you defeat it, a cutscene will commence featuring Steinarr’s men. So, now you have to defeat them.

Defeat Steinarr’s Bounty Hunters

Fighting in Norse: Oath of Blood.

Now, they will be a little far away from your characters, but I do not recommend moving toward them. Instead, if Gunnar is damaged, heal him and then end the turn. Do not use Alert, as the enemy may not come into range initially. Then, if the enemy comes close to Sigrid, move her away and cripple him.

Then, using Arn, if an enemy comes closer, attack him, and then using Jarl Eigil, defeat the ones that are low on HP. The main advantage you have here is that you did not waste your AP by moving toward the enemy. Instead, most of them came close to you, wasting all of their AP for the round.

This will give you quite the upper hand in battle, and as you have spears, the range of your weapon is going to be a lot. So, defeat the enemies, and the Wild Hunt quest in Norse: Oath of Blood will be over.

Settling In Walkthrough

Starting the Settling In quest in Norse: Oath of Blood.

As you complete the Wild Hunt quest, a cutscene will commence, and you will then arrive at the lawless place Jarl Eigil spoke of. There will be some people already living there, and do not skip the cutscene, as there is going to be a hilarious conversation.

These people will ask you to help them deal with the Brigands, some raiders who have been stealing from them, and they will join you to build a settlement.

Look For The Signs Of The Brigands

As Settling In starts in Norse: Oath of Blood, your first objective will be to look for the signs of the brigands. Go ahead, open the barrel and then shoot down the bag. Inside, you will find some loot. Take that and keep following the path.

There will be another barrel ahead, and northeast of it will be a rune stone. Interact with it for a blessing and then keep going ahead on the path. As you go just a little ahead, the objective will be updated.

Investigate The Campsite

There will be a boat on the right side. Investigate it and then go ahead. Loot the area, and after going just a little ahead, your objective will be updated to look for the Brigands. Now, you will see the red eye icons ahead. Move toward them, and you will see the brigands are ganging up on a single person.

Now, you can place your units freely on the blue tiles. Place everyone on the front line except Sigrid, as she uses a bow.

Defeat The Brigands

Fighting Brigands during the Settling In quest in Norse: Oath of Blood.

The enemy will be using Alert, and three tiles will be marked in red. Move Gunnar close to the enemy, but do not step on any of the red tiles. After you have moved him, use Alert. Then, using Sigrid, hit the enemy who has used Alert. This will cause him to get out of Alert, and you will now be safe to attack him.

Then, attack any of the other ones. I recommend using Alert, as Sigrid’s Alert has quite a long range, and any movement in the tiles will result in her attacking the enemy. After that, it will be Arn’s turn to perform a normal attack on the one nearest to him. After that, you can either guard or use Alert. The latter is preferred.

Then, you will have to use your last two new characters. Move the first one close to the enemies and then attack. Regarding the second one, he has a special ability where he can leap across the tiles. Use that and then attack the enemies. Then, defeat the remaining enemies, and you will have a conversation with Gormr, and he will join you.

Look For Brigands

You are still not done with the Brigands, as there are even more of them. So, go ahead on the path, and there will be some berries. Select the character that is damaged and then eat the berries so they recover HP. After that, go ahead on the path, and you will reach the Brigands’ camp.

In this fight, you will be introduced to a new mechanic. Remember the fallen weapons on the ground, like the spears? You can now pick them up and throw them at the enemies to deal damage.

Defeat The Brigands And Free The Captives

There are going to be a lot of enemies, so you now have to be more careful. Place your characters on the blue tiles. The close-range ones should be on the front side, and Sigrid should be behind cover. You are most likely to be surrounded where you made the first move, so Arn should be positioned there. Now, as there are many enemies, I do not recommend going close to them.

Instead, from the left side, just go a little ahead and use Alert along with Guard. Then, using Sigrid, hit the ones that are closer, and then use Alert. Then, move Arn a little ahead and attack the enemy in front of you. If there are more enemies grouped together, use Mighty Hew.

Birgir Norse: Oath of Blood

Also, the one with dual axes hits like a truck, so take advantage of him and execute a couple of enemies. The new character you just recruited, Gormr, also deals quite serious damage. So, you should be able to perform some executions from him, too. Birgir the Bastard is likely to approach your team from the side where more action is going on.

Defeat Birgir the Bastard

You should take care of the ones on the left and then move behind Birgir. If any of your characters are low on HP, use the one that has more health and use Engage on Birgir. Then, use Guard. After that, use the leaping ability of the character with dual axes and move next to Birgir.

Captives Norse: Oath of Blood

Then, throw the axe at him and, using your other characters, take care of him. Birgir should not be a problem if you gang up on him. Then, there will be just a few enemies left. The main issue will be the bow user, as he deals tremendous amounts of damage. Take care of him first by moving your characters with high HP toward him.

Defeat the enemies, loot the area, and then free the captives. After you have done that, the Norse: Oath of Blood quest, Settling In, will be completed.
