This part of the walkthrough for Octopath Traveler 0 follows the quest line to rebuild Wishvale and upgrade the town to level 3. The next requirement to get to Path of Sustainability (Lvl 2) in Wishvale is to remove the rubble and clear the land. I cleared 14 pieces of rubble. This will trigger Chapter 2 of Kindlers of the Flame – The Young Boy Basil. During this quest we will also recruit Viator and Celsus.

Ch 2: The Young Boy Basil
Speak to Phenn in Wishvale
Simple enough, go speak to Phenn. This will start the quest. Watch the cutscene play out.
Search for Margot In Valore
Fast travel to Emberglow if you have discovered it already. Otherwise make your way to the Emberglow Wilds and head south to take the South West path to West Emberglow Wilds.
Here take the South Western path again to Valore Trail.
There is blue chest in the eastern path in Valore Trail.
There is normal chest in the western clearing next to the supplies.
The south western path leads to West Valore Trail, but we don’t need to go there now. The north Path leads to Auguste’s Villa, which we can ignore for now. Head down south to Valore.
In Valore, speak to the man infront of the tavern to start the Covetous Witch quest.
We are not here for that now, rather there is a recruitable character inside the tavern.
Encounter with Viator
Inside you will meet Viator, who is hunting for legendary weapons. Invite him to join your party.
He will give you a Crested Key. If you have been following our walkthrough, move Viator to the frontline and Macy to the backline. Go to the last house down south to find a red chest.
Outside, invite the Inarticulate Carpenter to join your town.
You can also haggle Grape Seed from the long term Resident here. Invite the Hunter-Like Youth here to your town and get the loot off him by using Entreat.
Once you are done head west to Valore: Main boulevard. Go to the tavern in the far west.
Encounter with Celsus
He will ask you if faith important to you. Say yes. Watch the cutscene unfold and then speak to Celsus. Ask to hire him and tell him you seek renewal. He will join you soon enough.
Once you are done, head north to the church.
Speak to the Anxious priest inside, entreat all the loot off him and then recruit him. Next speak to him about Margot.
Find Margot on the path to Herminia’s Manse
Head south towards Path to Herminia’s Manse. Here there is a chest on the south east.
There is another chest on the other side. Pick up the second chest and cross the bridge. There is another chest here, below the path.
Go north now to find Margot.
Invite Margot
Use Inquire on Margot and then invite her to Wishvale.
Bring Margot back to meet Basil
Fast travel back to Wishvale. Speak to Basil across the river.
Learn how to grow vegetables from Margot
Use Inquire on Margot and get the vegetable growing tips. Talk to Basil again. Watch the cutscenes play out. This will end the quest. You can now plant vegetables and fruits.
I had Grape Seed and Tomato Seed – which I planted right away. The next part of the quest is to obtain 2 yields – which happens when enough battles have been fought. Grapes are used to make Grape Juice which gives 25% more exp for 20 turns.
