This part of the walkthrough for Octopath Traveler 0 follows the quest line to recruit members for Wishvale’s wellbeing. In this part we complete Chapter 3 of Kindlers of the Flame – The Merchant Ludo.

Kindlers of the Flame Chapter 3: The Merchant Ludo
Speak to Margot in Wishvale
For the next part of the Kindlers of the Flame, start by talking to Margot.

Search for Skilled merchants in Sunshade
We have to go a long way south to get to Sunshade.

The easiest route there is from Rippletide, so head there. Take the south eastern path our of Rippletide Coast into North Shepherd’s Rock Pass. In North Shepherd’s pass the north eastern part has a dungeon called Cavern of Mists which is a level 33 dungeon. There is a red chest in the south.

Take the southern path to Shepherds Rock Pass. Here there is a red chest on the right on the path down.

There is a blue chest in the southern region, after the bridge.

The south eastern path leads to a zone called Valley of Death which is a level 30 zone. The north western path leads to Sheperds Rock and South Western path leads to Eastern Sunshade Sands. There is a red chest near the oasis in the middle of the desert.

There are ruins at the end of this path called Finesand Ruins. The Southern path leads to Sufrataljah Sands. Take the North Western path to Sunshade Sands. Once you get there speak to the woman standing in the path. This will lead to a battle. Once you beat her, she will tell you her name Heidne. For now just head into Sunshade. Once you get there, you will hear two merchants talk about Ludo.
Search for the Merchant Ludo
Head north west to the terrace to trigger another cutscene.
Defeat the lizardmen infesting the trade route
Make your way out of town. Head to Finesand Ruins, north of Eastern Sunshade Sands. Inside FInesand Ruins, follow the path first to the northern end to find a chest.

Come back down and go west now. Save at the save point. There is a mini boss down south – the Menacing Desert Worm.

Ignore it for now and head to the quest marker. You will have to fight a bunch of Lizard men and after the first fight, Ludo will show up and you will have to fight the boss next.
Boss: Lizardmen Leader

The boss is weak to Swords, Arrows, Staves, Ice and Dark Magic.
The adds are weak to Polearm, Dagger, Tomes, Wind and Dark magic. The boss will keep summoning adds if you don’t pass the dps check. Once the fight is over head back to Wishvale.
Speak to Stia
Speak to Stia to trigger the next cutscene. This will end the quest.
