In this part of the walkthrough for Octopath Traveler 0 we look at going back to Wishvale between quests and upgrading it can lead to some very tangible benefits in terms of gameplay. We follow up on the quest Rekindling the Flame Pt 3 and we recruit Pius from Cragspear.

For the next part of this quest we need to go to Cragspear.
Rekindling the Flame Pt.3
Head to Cragspear
Head west from Valore Trail towards West Valore Trail. In West Valore trail, there is a red check in the north eastern cove – behind the statue.
There is a chest in the northern cove.
The north western path leads to Victor’s Hollow Trail. There is a chest in the South western corner.
And another chest above that.
Nothing else of note here so take the southern path to Cragspear Pass. On the pass as you head south you can find a chest on the left.
You can find a Lvl 25 dungeon at the bottom – Gray Grotto.
There is a blue chest on the path to Cragspear.
The southern path leads to South Cragspear Pass. Head into Cragspear now. Save and talk to the character Pius standing in front of the church.
An Encounter with Pius
Pay your respects with Pius at Wishvale
Head back to Wishvale now. Go to the cemetery by the river and meet Pius there. Listen to his story and invite him to join you. You now have a cleric in your party. Head back to Cragspear.
Back at Cragspear, you will find a blue chest inside the church.
Rekindling the Flame Pt.3 (continued)
There is a red chest inside the weapon shop.
There is another chest inside the house next to the trader.
The northern path leads to Castle Edoras. For now just head east to the bridge.
Speak to Lutus here.
Speak with the merchant in the tavern
Head to the tavern and speak to the Merchant.
He will tell you that he has no idea about what you are asking.
Inquire with the Merchant
Use the path action Inquire and then follow up with Contend. After the fight, you will find out that the pendant has been sold to Benno.
Speak with Master Benno
Master Benno’s house is in the North Eastern corner of town.
After speaking to him you find out he wants a jewellery box replaced.
“Inquire” with the corrupt merchant
Go back to the tavern and use Inquire on the merchant again.
“Contend” with the corrupt merchant
Fight him again. Once you have the jewellery box head back to the Master Benno.
Speak with Lutus
Find Lutus on the bridge again and give him the pendant.
Invite Lutus
Inquire with Lutus and invite him to Wishvale.
Relocate Lutus to Wishvale
Before going back to Wishvale and housing Lutus, you need to do a couple of things. Head to the slums. Keep going south and you will find the Disagreeable Merchant. Buy the Cow for your ranch off him.
Open the chest next to him and talk to the Whimsical Writer close to him. Now go up and check the sacks to find the carrot seed.
Now, head back to Wishvale. And put Lutus up in any of the houses.
Now place 25 decorations to get the town to Level 4 and end the quest.
