After surviving derailing and fighting against the Shade inside a train, Eugene, Ren, the conductor, the dog, and the elderly goat travel to the Nameless City.
A white horse arrives to lead Eugene and Ren into the city; this is the end of part 3 of our walkthrough. And from here, we will venture into the city and complete OPUS: Prism Peak chapter 3.
Table of contents
The Nameless City

The white horse leads Eugene and Ren into the outskirts of the Nameless City. Move along the road and take photos if something piques your interest; switch the camera’s shutter to take pictures.
Cross through the underpass and turn right to ascend it. You will find numerous fading souls wandering in the city, but they can’t be talked to. There, interact with an otter and exhaust all the available dialogue to get some answers regarding the Nameless City.

Continue moving forward to descend to the main road, and explore the city to your liking. There are numerous alleys with observable secrets, and doing so will reward you with seeds. In the first, left alley, there is a Seer’s statue and a pangolin. Talk to it and understand the surroundings.
At the road’s end, there will be a locked house. This might feel like a dead end, but turn around and turn right after descending the stairs. Walk through the alley to reach a wrecked house, and interact with an almost-faded bear amidst all the destruction.

To take the bear’s picture, rotate the camera’s shutter to 3S first. With this, he will reveal that whoever the Shade touches, they will be forgotten; no wonder the fading souls inhabit the whole city. Show him the picture you took, and he will ask about Ren. Although you have the Camera, the Seer’s eye, according to the souls, you still haven’t saved her.
Eugene explains that he can’t see her through the eye. So, to return the favor, the bear takes them through the locked house. Follow him and then talk to him when he stops. He explains that this house used to be the Seer’s workshop, but nothing remains of it after the Shade’s attack.

Talk to the bear again.
“That’s just how he lives his life.”
After they introduce each other, the bear will tell Eugene about two of Seer’s friends who probably know his whereabouts. According to his details, one is covered in armor, and the other has a “mean glare.” Return to the alleys, then talk to the otter and the pangolin.

Near the otter, increase the shutter speed to 125S and then take its picture when you see the “Now” sign. Show it to him and say his name; don’t worry about it if you don’t remember, as it’s an illusion of choice. Now, return to the narrow alley and take the pangolin’s picture; decrease the shutter speed to 3S before doing so.
Show it to him and select the third option to say his name. After saving the two souls, Eugene and Ren will return to the bear, and they will celebrate. Everyone calls Eugene the new Seer, but he tries to deny it; they don’t listen and continue to celebrate his arrival.
“(Say Something Meaningful)”

To keep up with the energy, Eugene stands on the tool to deliver a short speech and reveals his main goal in the Nameless City. When the party ends, talk to everyone and then interact with the Firebowl. Give it pictures of all the present souls inside the house. With this, the Firebowl will give you a Seer’s special bottle to drink with everyone in the room; the dog doesn’t drink.

Talk to the bear at the end, and he will tell you further about the Seer’s journey to the Golden Horizon.
“I’m not the seer.”
The bear tells Eugene how much he resembles the Seer he knows. And despite Eugene’s best efforts to convince him that he’s not him, the bear doesn’t listen. Interact with him again and continue your journey to the mountains. Before you leave, the bear tells you to take a picture with everyone.

When the perspective shifts to the camera, stand in the middle of everyone, and then Ren will take the picture. After this, Eugene will sit on the couch with Ren and have a conversation.
“No I’m not… The seer wouldn’t be this useless.”
Suddenly, he gets up and recalls all the negative things that happened in his life.

“I keep thinking… There must be a reason you came into my life now, Ren.”
A few moments later, Eugene falls asleep and then wakes up in the dream world. However, you won’t be able to get up from the bed this time. Three soul silhouettes, including a giant deer, will be staring at you. Look to your right and interact with the pangolin’s picture to initiate a distant memory of a 24-year-old Eugene.

It’s about a man named Harold, whom Eugene and his wife Irene helped on the streets. After saving him, he became his best friend; the pangolin is Harold. Look left to find an undeveloped picture, and then do the same on your right.
Now in the woods, Ren will be staring at you. Talk to her through the given dialogue.

“It’s fine, I can do this…”
The Seer Theater

After Eugene wakes up from the dream, he will find himself and Ren in the forest outside the Nameless City. Ascend the staircase to move towards the Seer theater. Interact with the map in the middle, which will tell you your location: Entrance of the mountain.
Continue climbing the stairs to reach the Seer theater. If you want to take its picture, decrease the camera’s shutter speed to 3S since it’s dark. Now, enter the theater and meet the white horse that helped you at the Nameless City’s entrance. When you approach her, the horse will reveal that the Seer has fled to the temple and left her behind after their movie ended.

Reach the theater’s second floor to find an empty film projector along with the Firebowl. Interact with the fire and ask it the two prominent questions: How to see the horse and how to see in the dark.
First, show the Firebowl a picture named “Forgotten Cafe” where Eugene and everyone else took a group photo after the party. In return, it will give you the Focus Ring to adjust the camera’s focus manually.

To see the horse, return to the first floor, take the green plaque’s picture above the screen, and show it to the Firebowl. You will receive a film reel named “The Unicorn Dream” from it, which you can put in the projector.

Talk to the white horse, and she will remember how brave she used to be before the Seer left her. Interact with her again and ask all the available questions. This reveals she is a Unicorn as Eugene notices the horn on her head.

Step back and take a picture of both the unicorn and the film when she looks at you; it’s crucial to have them both in frame. If you’re struggling with it, look at the image above to see how to put them in frame together.

Show her the picture to initiate a conversation, and after Eugene asks her about finding the Seer, she will instantly call him a coward. Still, since he has helped her to remember everything, she decides to help him and Ren as a favor. As they follow the Unicorn, Ren trips over a lightbulb on the ground.
After you interact with Ren, she feels “hot and weird” as she repeats the goal to reach the mountain.

“Carry her.”
Move ahead to find a glowing butterfly and follow it; Ren says she can hear its voice in her head. The path changes numerous times, so keep track of the purple butterflies. As you go through the dark, the unicorn will reveal more about the Seer and herself, including how he left her behind.
Don’t stop walking until you see a crib mobile, and then take its picture with the shutter speed set to 3S. This will prompt the butterfly to appear on the ground, but it disappears if you get close. So, use the camera to take its picture and wait for the darkness to vanish.

Now, when everything’s clear, and you see the ascending path, talk to the unicorn above.
“You wish he’d stop running away.”
Converse with her again, and Ren will try to show her fading hands. However, she remains loathful of the Seer.
“Hug —-”

Doing this will comfort her, and she will then climb up the path. After Ren thinks about her and Eugene’s journey, you will find yourself in the dream world. But unlike other places, this time you’re in the Nameless City cafe.
Head outside the room to find a picture of the fading elderly goat on the camera. With this, you will enter a distant memory of a 23-year-old Eugene with his boss, Morris; the elderly goat represents him.

Turn right to enter the forest. If you’re lost, follow the petals on the ground, and they will lead you to a picture of the otter with a mean glare. You will be welcomed with a 25-year-old Eugene’s distant memory about a man named Vincent, who had a crush on Irene. However, when he asks Eugene and Harold to help him give her a gift, they reveal that Eugene is already dating her.
The memory ends. Continue following the petals to the next image, which consists of a 26-year-old Eugene’s memory, showing the strong relationship between Irene and Eugene. They both love movies, and to make it permanent, he asks if they can “watch movies forever.”

Lastly, turn left in the dream world to find a picture of the glowing butterfly. And this memory reveals something new: Irene and Eugene had a daughter. Again, in the dream world, turn left and follow the path to an undeveloped photo, which will teleport you to the red lake.
Tip: Entering the lake will reward you with another alternate ending.

From here, turn left to enter the forest again and talk to the spirits. Skip the second dialogue here, and then they will guide you to safety.
The Valley

Eugene wakes up and finds himself walking to the heart of the mountain with Ren on his back. Their journey to the Seer’s temple continues, but unfortunately, the bridge is completely obstructed.
Turn left from the broken bridge to find an alternative path to head downwards. There, you will find a broken kitchen and a door blocked by trees. Turn around, and then move left to initiate a cutscene. Ren will act differently, and her body is now on the brink of fading as the Shade’s aura illuminates it.

After Eugene carries her on his back again, look at the window to find a fish spirit. First, talk to it, then take its picture with the camera shutter speed set to 125S. When she appears, talk to her with all available dialogue, and show the picture.
The fish will remember how to swim, allowing her to run away to a wrecked house. Follow her and turn left, then right at the intersection to find it behind the house’s window. When she looks at you, take her picture and show it to her.

“You wish the Seer would come see you.”

She then runs away to the door blocked by the trees. There, show her the picture again, which makes her remember everything as she transforms into a huge fish.
“I wanted you to know you were seen.”

She is grateful for your words. To help you in your journey, the fish will clear the trees beyond the door. As you continue through the newly revealed path, Ren will warn Eugene about the Shade approaching from behind. However, even after all the best efforts, the Shade will consume you.
Suddenly, Eugene returns to the dream world and wakes up in a cabin. Exit the cabin and head outside to find a picture of the Shade. A distant memory of an 11-year-old Eugene begins, which reveals that his grandpa went blind.

In the dream world, descend the path ahead to find the next Shade’s picture opposite a TV. In this distant memory, a typhoon is headed towards the city and is also on the trajectory to destroy Eugene’s grandpa’s Darkroom and Cabin. However, his dad tells him to study and forget about it.
In the dream world, move forward to find a cabin where a door that illuminates a red aura will open. Talk to the deer inside, who asks Eugene to go back to his “walker” and ask for a film.

After leaving the room, turn right to find a picture of the conductor to begin the next distant memory. Eugene, 22, argues with Phil over job ethics.

Back in the dream world, look left and interact with the glowing butterfly’s picture. And this distant memory reveals the unfortunate passing of Eugene’s and Irene’s daughter. Despite their best efforts to save her, she passed away after six months. Irene blames Eugene, who kept burying himself in work to avoid the situation.

A door opens in the cabin after this memory. Head outside and talk to the red silhouette.
“We haven’t reached the summit yet…”

The silhouette then goes away. Turn around and move to the cabin’s right side to find Ren with the glowing butterfly on her shoulder. She comforts Eugene, and now, you will return to the mountain.
Eugene wakes up as he runs away from the Shade. Keep running and stay on the shorter paths to avoid the Shade. If it captures you, a spirit will appear and provide you with hints.

When you reach the train tracks, wait for the Shade to appear from the top, and take its picture when you see a starry sky inside its mouth. The Shade will disappear, and a tunnel awaits both Eugene and Ren. Before entering the tunnel, you will be welcomed by the glowing butterfly’s flashback, which represents Eugene’s daughter.

Ren is someone who would have looked like Eugene’s daughter if she had survived and grown up.
