Palworld – The Brothers Of The Eternal Pyre Tower Boss Fight Walkthrough

Welcome to Into Indie Games and the fourth part of our Palworld walkthrough!

You’ve managed to get your hands on two Key Spheres, but you’re still nowhere near halfway there, and plenty more remain to be found. With your collection slowly growing, it’s time to head to your next destination and track down another tower.

Search For Clues About the Next Tower

After you manage to defeat Lily and Lyleen and obtain their Key Sphere, it’s time to find clues about where the next tower is located. The next step is to track down its location.

You will get an objective marker at the very south of Mount Obsidian, which is the volcanic region. Near the Fisherman’s Point fast travel point, you will find another settlement by the shore.

Here, you can explore the settlement and interact with the vendors. When you’re done, you need to head southwest, where you will see a PIDF officer standing nearby.

Speak to him, and you’ll learn that there has been some trouble around the area that he needs your help with. He asks you to investigate the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre and find out what they are up to.

First, you need to start gathering intel about this group, so head to the bar area and speak to the drunk man there. He will mention that he met one of their members before, but only the porter knows more.

Find The Porter

The porter is located northwest of your current location, so you will need to climb the mountain. You will find the porter standing by the waterfall there. Go and speak to him.

He will tell you the story behind how the group started. After they lost their original leader, a new leader named Axel appeared, and he is now responsible for all the trouble.

Now head back to the settlement and report your findings to the PIDF officer. The news concerns him, and he asks you to deal with Axel and set things right.

Brothers Of The Eternal Pyre Tower Boss Fight – Axel And Orserk

By the time you reach Axel and Orserk, the game stops pulling its punches. Unlike Zoe and Grizzbolt, which mostly teach you the basics of tower battles, or Lily and Lyleen, which focus on sustained pressure and healing, Axel and Orserk are all about raw aggression.

Orserk is capable of dealing massive damage in a short amount of time, and if you’re not careful, a single mistake can cost you both your Pal and a large chunk of your Health.

Preparations

Before entering the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre Tower, you should aim to be around Level 40 to 45.

Your main combat Pals should ideally be at least Level 40 as well. Anything significantly below that will struggle to survive against Orserk’s attacks, especially during the later stages of the fight when the pressure starts building.

If you’re still underleveled, spend some time clearing higher-level Alpha Pals, running dungeons, exploring Mount Obsidian, and filling out your Paldeck for additional experience.

The Best Pals To Bring

The biggest thing to remember is that Orserk is a Dragon and Electric-type Pal, which means Ice-type Pals are your best option for this encounter.

One of the strongest choices available is Mammorest Cryst, which can be found throughout the Astral Mountains. Thanks to its massive Health pool and defensive stats, Mammorest Cryst can stay on the field much longer than most Ice-type Pals, which is important in a fight where Orserk constantly chains attacks together and doesn’t give you many opportunities to breathe.

Another excellent choice is Reindrix, which can also be found throughout the Astral Mountains region. While it isn’t as tanky as Mammorest Cryst, it has access to powerful Ice attacks and is generally much easier to obtain. If you’ve invested some time leveling one, it can perform surprisingly well during this fight.

If you’ve been breeding or capturing stronger late-game Pals, Frostallion is arguably the best option available. However, capturing Frostallion is practically a boss fight by itself, so most players won’t have access to one by the time they first challenge Axel and Orserk.

Regardless of which Ice-type Pals you choose, try to bring at least three of them into the tower. You’ll likely need to rotate through multiple Pals throughout the encounter.

The Loadout

This is the stage of the game where your weapon choice starts having a significant impact on the outcome of the fight.

The Assault Rifle, unlocked at Level 45, is arguably the best weapon you can bring against Axel and Orserk. Orserk rarely stays still for very long, and the Assault Rifle’s fire rate makes it much more forgiving than slower weapons when you’re constantly moving and dodging attacks.

If you haven’t unlocked the Assault Rifle yet, the Single-Shot Rifle, unlocked at Level 36, remains a strong alternative. It deals impressive damage per shot and can still carry you through the fight if you’re accurate.

Whichever weapon you decide to use, make sure you bring plenty of ammunition. We recommend bringing at least 300 rounds before entering the tower.

When it comes to armor, you should ideally be using Pal Metal Armor, which becomes available at Level 46. You should also bring the Hyper Shield, unlocked at Level 43, or the strongest shield currently available to you.

Speaking of healing, and as always, make sure you’re carrying plenty before entering the tower.

Axel And Orserk Attacks

Once the battle begins, you’ll quickly realize that Orserk is one of the most aggressive tower bosses you’ve faced so far.

One of its most common attacks involves launching multiple Electric projectiles across the arena. While these attacks aren’t particularly difficult to dodge on their own, they can become dangerous when combined with Orserk’s other abilities.

Orserk also uses a large Electric shockwave attack that expands outward across the floor. As the inner ring approaches your position, simply jump over it to avoid taking damage.

Another dangerous attack involves summoning multiple lightning strikes around the arena. The safest option here is to keep moving and avoid running yourself into a corner while trying to dodge them.

Perhaps the biggest threat is Orserk’s tendency to chain attacks together. Unlike some earlier bosses that leave noticeable openings, Orserk constantly applies pressure and rarely gives you much time to relax.

How To Defeat Axel And Orserk

As soon as the fight begins, send out Mammorest Cryst if you have one available and start dealing damage immediately. Its high survivability allows it to absorb Orserk’s opening attacks while you establish your position in the arena.

One of the most important things to remember during this fight is that the arena gives you something many tower bosses don’t: cover.

The pillars scattered around the arena can block several of Orserk’s ranged attacks and give you a chance to regroup if things start getting out of control. If your shield is broken or you need a moment to heal, don’t be afraid to use them.

Whenever one of your Pals starts taking heavy damage, recall it and send out another one. Rotating your Pals properly is far better than allowing them to get knocked out completely.

Another common mistake is becoming too focused on dealing damage. There will be moments when Orserk is distracted by your Pal and seems completely open, but getting greedy often leads to taking unnecessary damage from a follow-up attack.

Keep chipping away at Orserk’s Health, continue rotating your Ice-type Pals, and use the pillars whenever you need breathing room. The fight can feel overwhelming during your first attempt, but once you learn the attack patterns and stop panicking, it becomes much more manageable.

After defeating Axel and Orserk, you will be rewarded with 5 Ancient Technology Points and the Key Sphere of Sloth.

Report To The PIDF Officer

After obtaining another Key Sphere and defeating Axel, head back to the settlement and inform the PIDF officer that the task is complete.
