The Basics

The conversation topics you get depend on the personality traits you selected for the members of your household. You can initiate conversations when the together bar is full, which happens automatically as you converse with someone.
To move multiple characters at once, you need to select all at once and then the place you want them moved. If you have any young members, they will automatically join the school when you reach town.
To start living, you can either purchase an empty lot to build your house from scratch, or you can get an existing house; the first option will save you more money. The latter is easier if you are a beginner in Paralives. If you want to purchase a house, make sure it fulfils your requirements, as the number of beds and toilets is shown.
How To Build A House

Purchase an empty lot. Press B to enter build mode. Use the sledgehammer to remove obstacles such as rocks. You can use the terrain settings to level the ground. Walls need to be at the same height to be connected.
When you build a wall, the floor will automatically be created. To build another floor, place the stairs and then use the stairs icon on the top right to move to the second floor. Build a second wall here to make another floor. Do not forget the door to complete the house.
You can then start furnishing your home to your liking. Make sure you have all the essentials to fulfil the needs of paras. In the room section, you will find furniture divided into various categories, which makes it easier for you if you are looking to build a specific kind of room.
How Do Needs, Emotions, and Wants Work

Your para needs include Hunger, Sleep, Bathroom, and Hygiene. These needs must be met, or their mood will decline, which affects how they do other tasks as well. When your para is hungry, you can either grab a snack from the fridge or make a meal. Make sure that the furniture they need to fix their needs is in good shape, you can just repair it if it isn’t.
You can use your bed to sleep; make sure to have enough for all members of your household. Sleep when your energy is depleted or take a short nap. To fulfil hygiene and bathroom needs, build a bathroom with a toilet, sink and a bathtub.
If you select your para, the emotions will also be shown, and you can pick an action to do what they want. You will also get life goals as you progress, which depend on your para’s personalities.
For your jester para, you will see another need called fun, which increases after entertaining yourself, which you can do easily by watching something on television at home. Your active paras will have a need to move, which you can fulfill by being more active by exercising.
How To Get A Job

If you are short on cash in Paralives, you can enter build mode and sell any extra furniture you don’t need using the sledgehammer. You can also earn money the traditional way by being a corporate worker and getting a job.
You can look for a job on your computer, phone or posters around the town. Kids cannot have a job, so use your adult paras to earn money. Sometimes, they will pop up in the newspaper as well. To use your phone, click on your para.
Jobs also have requirements, such as work experience, skill level, and perk level. Stick to one career path to gain experience and eventually get a higher role for yourself, which also pays more.
