Planet of Lana 2 is a great 2D puzzle game with some well-done platforming sections. A lot of creative puzzle sections can be encountered in the story, and the plot really builds upon the narrative of the first title. You can find out more about this game on its official Steam page here.
During the mid-game, Planet of Lana 2 introduces quite a lot of puzzle-solving mechanics, which you’ll need to understand to progress through The Cure and Mui’s Journey in the game. This walkthrough will help you cross every hurdle in the third and fourth chapters!

Chapter 3: The Cure
Chapter 3 starts off with a new goal, and that is to find the mountain flower. As soon as the initial cutscene ends, keep moving right and climb the ice ledges to reach your first hurdle.
A storm will be blowing strong winds here, and you’ll need to crouch near the large boulders to take cover until the winds settle down. You can jump to the next section once the winds stop blowing.
Climb a few ledges to reach the next section, where you’ll be introduced to another one of Mui’s abilities. You can take control of a web ball by using Mui’s special ability.
Next, you can move around walls and spread the web while traveling. You will need to connect the web barrier to the fire by placing the webs all the way from the barrier to the burning flame. Once you do that, the barrier will be destroyed, and you can progress further.
The Box Fire Puzzle
The next hurdle requires you to complete multiple tasks in order to solve the puzzle. Firstly, place Lana on the platform above the web balls and then take control of one of the balls by using Mui.
Next, create a trail of web starting from the fire all the way to the creature up top, next to Lana. This will make the creature hide itself briefly, which will allow you to jump across as Lana.
On the other side, grab the crate and push it down. Finally, place it on the left side of the flame and then take control of another web ball. You’ll need to create another web trail from the barrier up top on the left to the fire down below, using the crate that you placed before.
The web ball cannot make a huge jump, but using the crate will allow you to reach the barrier. Once you burn the barrier, use the crate to jump back up top as Lana and continue further.
Traversing The Mountain
In the next area, you will come across strong winds, so make sure to sprint through this section and take cover when the storm starts again.
Once you get back inside the cave, the game introduces another hurdle. A poisonous rock in your path that you cannot cross without using Mui’s special ability on it. In the very next room, you will need to use Mui’s ability on three such rocks to progress beyond.
Another web puzzle awaits you in the next area, which can be solved first by moving the crate a little to the right so it gets closer to the ceiling. Take control of the web ball next and create two trails connecting the two creatures on your left to the fire.
As soon as both creatures burn, move the crate over the creature on the ground and wait for it to resurface. Once it does, quickly jump left and climb out of this area.
The Enemy Fortress
You will now pass through an enemy area where security cameras can detect you if you’re not hidden. As you move past the first section here, just hide in the snow to stay safe from the eyes of the cameras.
The next section will require you to use Mui to disrupt the generators. This will not only unlock the doors but also disable the camera, so you can move ahead safely. You will need to manipulate the camera’s direction with the switch to help Mui cross without getting caught.
A robot enemy will be waiting for you after this. You will need to hide in the snow again to move stealthily. Once you are on its right side, the enemy will chase, so you make a run for it and slide out of its reach.
There is another puzzle after this encounter, which requires you to turn the power off first. Then, you can use Mui to cut the wire of the security camera above. This allows you to turn the power back on and progress beyond.
In the next room, press the switch at the start and then command Mui to put the robot out of action by using its special ability near the machine.
Once the robot is staggered, make a run towards the right and unlock the vent to continue your journey forward. Stagger the robot again before calling Mui back, too.
Entering The Mines
You will now come across two security cameras and switch to change their direction. Use the switch and then command Mui to disable the first camera by using its special ability on the first generator up top.
Press the switch to reverse the direction again, get on the lift, and command Mui to use its special ability on the second generator here to descend. Use the switch that you find after you descend to activate the second lift and go further down.
After descending, keep moving right, and you will come across a giant robot. Here, move down to the rock below and carry it to the right. This will get the attention of the robot, and it will come down as well.
Make Mui jump on top of the robot and move the rock back away. This will take Mui up, and you can use Mui’s special ability near the generator here. That unlocks a lift on Lana’s left where you need to carry the rock.
You can take this lift back up and move the rock to the right when you get back up. The giant robot comes down enough for Lana to get across as well.
In the next two sections, you will need to rely on Mui to cure the poisonous rock and disrupt the generator to shut down the security camera to proceed.
You will now come across another large robot and a security camera. Climb to the tunnel containing the web balls here and use the robot as a shield against the camera to get down.
Take control of the web ball and get on top of the robot, and wait for it to go as high as it can. Next, create a trail of webs from the barrier on your right to the right side of the robot. Get spotted by the camera to burn the trail, and do this when the robot is still up above.
This burns the barrier, and you can now climb the robot as Lana to get out of this area. Just make sure to stay out of the camera’s light while you climb back up. You can use Mui’s ability again to power the lift next.
Another lift will be waiting for you next, but this time with a security camera. Command Mui to disrupt the camera first by using its power on the generator on the right. Then, quickly call Mui back and power the lift to go down.
Finding The Mountain Flower
Move to the far right side in the next section, and make Mui jump on top of the flying robot. Take control of this robot and fly it to the area at the top, grab the rock from here, and use it to bait the giant robot on the left side.
Control Lana again and jump on top of the giant robot using the rope on the left. Get back to controlling the flying robot again and use the rock to bait the giant robot back to the top.
Jump to the other side as Lana and use the switch to deactivate the camera. Finally, power the lift to descend further in the mines.
Keep moving left after descending and remove the planks in your way. Make sure to jump over gaps and monsters, and you will come across the Mountain Flower.
In order to collect this flower, go left and take control of the web ball. You will need to traverse to the other side as the ball and use the flame to destroy barriers in your path.
Once you are back up, connect the web barrier here with the flame down below to unlock this path. After that, use Mui to purify the rock on the other side of the barrier.
Now move the rock near the flower and remove Mui from it. The poison will open up the flower, and you will be able to collect it.
After you collect the flower, a cutscene plays, which ends with poisonous gas filling the mines. You will need to escape the mines by climbing to the top. Use the giant robot in your way to ascend, and everything else just needs a bit of platforming.
Exploring The Dystopian City
The first puzzle in the city involves two security cameras. Send Mui near the camera at the top and use its special ability to turn off the camera below near Lana. Quickly move to the other side and crouch under the wall to get across.
A robot is waiting on the other side. You’ll need to send Mui under it and use its special ability to stagger the robot. Once the bot is staggered, climb to the top using the ledges on your right.
A cutscene plays at the top, and after it ends, jump off to the right to escape the city, since this triggers another cutscene in the story.
Underwater Sections
The scenery now changes to green islands with ponds as opposed to the mountains at the start of the chapter. Keep moving right and dive into the second body of water to find a plant at the bottom-right side.
You can take this plant back to Mui, which will act as a platform for Mui to jump on. Mui can even be taken underwater using this plant. Dive again and resurface on the other side with Mui. Command Mui to cut the rope here and use it to climb to the top.
Make another dive after this and go to the bottom to find another plant for Mui. Grab Mui next and dive to the right side. You will find a barrier here that can be unlocked by using Mui’s ability.
In the next section, you will need to dive for quite a while because of the jellyfish. You will find golden coral reefs at the bottom, which can be used to restore air. Keep swimming from one coral to the next and resurface on the other side. Watch out for the electric fish and ascend from the location of the second fish to resurface.
After you resurface, make Mui jump left and take control of the small fish in the pond. Start jumping towards the left-most pond and dive down.
Use the cloud of ink to get past the first electric fish and drop another cloud in front of the second electric fish. Now you can go back to the second electric fish as Lana and head right without getting seen. Use Mui’s ability to get past the barrier on the right here.
Exploring The Sea
On the other side of the barrier that you just passed, resurface and make Mui jump onto the ground. Dive without Mui this time and go right to come across a barrier. The tentacles are located on the ground, and you’ll need to command Mui to use its ability to unlock the barrier. After you resurface, jump to the right side and go ahead to trigger a cutscene.
Once the cutscene ends, make another dive and swim to the right side to resurface near the jellyfish. Command Mui to get to the other side of the jellyfish and drop the rope for you on the ground. Use the rope to climb to the next area.
Keep moving right and jump into the water at the end. Here, youll need to dive and find five jellyfish to make them swim up. These creatures can be spotted by a long tentacle with a yellow cap at the end.
There are five such tentacles here, and you need to make all five jellyfish surface by touching the tentacle. Two of the tentacles are present on both sides of an electric fish that you need to watch out for.
With all the jellyfish now near the surface, Mui can be called to the other side with you. On the other side, you will need to make another dive and command Mui to get on top of the plant.
Attach that plant to Lana and make a dive to the bottom to open the barrier there by using Mui’s special ability. Continue swimming right and resurface at the end to reach an area with flying robots.
Run to the web balls in this section without getting spotted by the robots. Take control of a web ball and use it to climb to the top of the first flying bot by sticking to the walls.
Stick to the cliff at the end and drop off on the second robot to get to the other side. Here, create a trail of webs to join the barrier and get spotted by the flying bot. The bot burns up the web ball, which in turn destroys the barrier.
Wait for the second robot to move left, then make a run for it as Lana to the other side. Speak with the NPC here and make another dive. You will find a plant at the bottom and a bit to the right, which you’ll need to bring Mui with you in water.
Take Mui to the far right side and use its special ability near the generator here to open the barrier. You can use the golden corals to catch your breath on the other side.
Finding The Submarine
On the other side of the barrier, keep swimming right and resurface at the end. You’ll come across a switch near a security camera. Use the switch to call the moving platform, and send it back by pressing the switch again. While it is going back, you can hide under it to move left.
Command Mui to call the platform again, but this time jump on top of it as it goes back. Now head left again at the top to go further into this area.
For your next puzzle, move the crate near the security camera to the right side. Stand on top of the crate and command Mui to use its ability on the generator up top, which opens the gate.
The robot on the other side spots you and will chase inside. Make sure to jump up quickly after it sees you. The bot gets stuck here, and you can continue safely.
In the next section, you’ll need to rotate a switch, but tread carefully only when the camera is not looking at you. Once you rotate the switch, head left and take control of the submarine.
Finding The Seashell
After sitting inside the submarine, use its lower part to grab onto the lever on your bottom left. Move the lever upwards to open the gate in front and move further left.
Keep diving down using the submarine, and you’ll arrive at a gate that can be opened by hitting it with the submarine. Go further down, and you should arrive at the location of the seashell.
Before you can grab it, go left here and pick up the metal rail using the submarine. Attach this rail to the metal piece on the right side of the shell. Next, pick up the rail between the shell and the previously attached piece and complete the connection.
After making the connection, go to the left side of the area and leave the submarine in the airgap. Jump out and swim to the farthest right side. Dive and make the jellyfish surface here.
The current from the jellyfish opens the seashell, and you can collect the pearl inside. Once you collect the pearl, get back inside the submarine and exit by passing through the gate on the bottom-left.
The Final Stretch
Keep diving and move towards the right side at the end to reach your next puzzle. It involves placing boxes on the four switches again. Firstly, make sure to get the other two boxes. One can be found above this puzzle area, and you’ll need to hang on to the ledge to make it fall down.
The second missing box can be found on the left side of this area. Once you have all the boxes, they must be placed in a certain order on the switches.
- Starting from the left, the box with two lines and one dot comes first.
- Next comes the box with the division sign.
- In third place comes the box with three dots.
- Lastly, the box with two lines only must be placed on the final switch.
The gate opens up after putting the boxes in their right place. Keep moving right and keep diving further as well, until you pass through another movable gate. After that, ascend and get out of this body of water using the rope above you.
Travel to the right side and dive into the water to make a jellyfish reveal itself. Then get back on the ground and use the switch in the middle to move the rails to the right side. Call Mui to the generator on the right side and use its special ability here.
Next, move the left metal rail to the left side, and reuse Mui’s ability near the generator if the right metal rail starts moving. You should end up with an electric connection after this.
Next, dive into the water and use the switch under the metal rail on the left side to open the gate. Finally, get back inside the submarine and travel through this newly opened gate.
Continue diving deeper on the other side of the gate. You should come across another box and a switch puzzle at the end, and it’s very simple since there is only one box that you should pick up and put on the only available platform.
Continue through the gate after solving the puzzle, and you will come across three large metal structures. Move these structures to the left, park the submarine in the air gap above, and swim down to interact with the switch that opens the door. Get back inside your submarine and continue ahead.
You should arrive at a lift near the end of the chapter with a very large metal structure at the top. Move this structure away from the lift and bring back one of the three metal structures from the previous section here.
Place that structure on top of the lift, and it should push the lift with enough force to clear the path for your submarine.
Pass through the lift and keep pushing ahead to trigger a cutscene, which ends with your submarine breaking down. Once the submarine is destroyed, start swimming upwards as Lana to end the The Cure chapter in Planet of Lana 2.
Chapter 4: Mui’s Journey
Mui’s journey is a relatively short chapter in Planet of Lana 2, and your first task in this chapter, after the cutscene ends, is to press the switch on Mui’s right. Then, move Mui next to the baby, where you will need to choose specific colors based on the sequence shown in the background.
The sequence of colors is actually purple, blue, blue, purple, and lastly green. After putting the baby to sleep, keep moving right to attend the captain’s ceremony, where a cutscene plays, and the chapter ends.
You will now have completed both The Cure and Mui’s Journey in Planet of Lana 2, which means that you are now done with half of the main story.
