The Highlands

Keep going right until you encounter a cutscene, then continue right down the slope.

We have a new puzzle that involves both a cage and a tentacle.

It’s quite simple, though. Go to the far right of the screen and have Mui wait on the black pressure pad flowers. Then, drag the cage so that it is roughly in the middle of the cliff and the extended tentacle. Use the switch by the tunnel to open the cage, and then crawl left through the tunnel. Go back up the cliff, jump on top of the cage, and then onto the tentacle.

Once you’re past the tentacle, have Mui follow you again.

In the next puzzle, we have two elevators and a rope. You can have Lana climb up with the rope, but you’re going to need to operate the elevators to get Mui up as well.

Begin by climbing up the rope at the far right of the screen. Here, you can access a shrine by climbing onto a hidden platform about halfway between the ground and the top of the rope.

Climb the rope about halfway and swing left and right, until you’re swinging as far right as you can go. Jump right and Lana should catch the platform. Climb up and go right to find the Fifth Shrine of the game.

Now return to the rope and continue with the puzzle by jumping onto the platform to the left. Proceed left and jump onto the empty wooden platform, which will now come down with Lana’s weight. Summon Mui to your location and have them stop on the platform.

Step off the platform and go right, back to the rope, climbing up to the stone ledge. Summon Mui to your location and they should now be able to reunite with you.

Now return to the rope area and go up the higher stone ledge near the rope.

Run left and send Mui up to interact with the rope far above you. Once the rope is down, climb it up as Lana and proceed right across the wooden bridge.

Keep going right until you encounter a tunnel with grass in it. As you might expect, there’s a robot on the other side of the tunnel, and you’re going to have to evade it.

The robot patrols the uppermost platform here, so our goal will be to shift it from there, have Lana cross the uppermost platform, and escape before the robot returns to its patrol site.

Begin by running to the platform directly underneath the robot. You’re quite clear of the robot’s field of view down here, so don’t worry about hiding just yet.

Wait for the robot to go left, and send Mui to the hole in the ground to the right. Immediately send Mui through the hole, so that they are hidden away in the grass.

With this, Lana and Mui will both be safe from the robot’s field of view, and you can execute your plan.

As Lana, get as close to the leftmost platform as you can, and wait for the robot to go right. Then, quickly climb up the platform and hide in the grass. When the robot is on the left side of its platform, send Mui through the hole.

As soon as the robot detects Mui and goes red, send Mui back through the hole to the other side and have Lana run onto the robot’s platform.

The robot will now go to the hole to briefly investigate, then go onto the lower platform before making its way to the upper platform from the left. In the meantime, Lana can run across the upper platform all the way right.

When Lana gets to the right-hand-side platform, immediately have Mui follow you, keep running right, and crawl into the tunnel. If you timed everything right, you will be clear just as the spider robot reaches the tunnel entrance.

Go right and pull the barrier plant to the left with Mui to open the way. Keep going right from here, down the slope, so enter the next level of the game – The Swamp.
