Possessor(s) is a side scroller with fast-paced action combat. The combat in this game is inspired by platform fighters, and along with the art, it is the main highlight. It did not release to massive numbers of players on SteamDB, but if you are a fan of side scrollers with fast-paced action-packed combat, then it might be worth a shot.
If you are playing this game, you would already know that it is easy to get lost. The level design is pretty amazing, but it can also be annoying for many. Here, I will provide you with a walkthrough of the first few sections, Buried Streets, Skyscraper Remnants, and Fluorescent Park of Possessor(s).

Possessor(s) – Buried Streets Walkthrough

As you start the game, the first thing you will do is make a deal with a demon. Following that, head right, and soon you will find your first weapon. Pick up the Kitchen Knives, equip them, break the planks, and keep going ahead. Some enemies will spawn ahead, and the area will be locked. Defeat them to continue progressing.
You will notice some breakable entrances, but do not pay them any attention for now, as you do not have the necessary abilities. Keep going to the right, and you will eventually come across a tree-shaped flesh. Interact with it to get your first ability, Whip.

After getting the new ability, you can either go up and to the right or fight some enemies to your left. There is a strong enemy to the left, so be careful. If you keep going to the left, you will also get an item called Chromatic Carbuncle, which gives an additional affix to a weapon.

Now make your way to the right, defeat some enemies, and then keep going right. You can also go to the left by performing the whip action to get another Chromatic Carbuncle. Eventually, to the right, you will come across Luca’s house. Keep going right and then make your way up. At the top, you will get a prompt. Follow that, and a conversation with Rhem will be triggered.
Following that, keep going to the right, and you will be out of the Buried Streets.
Possessor(s) – Skyscraper Remnants Walkthrough

Keep going to the right, and at the bottom, you will find a vending machine monster. You cannot defeat this monster, as you need a parry ability. Go up, interact with the stairs, and head right. You will then come across a subway station that is used for fast travel. After that, go right, and just ahead will be a door you want to enter, but it will be locked.
How To Find The Research Keycard

To find the keycard, follow the pathway down and then keep going right. There will be a red door that you cannot pass normally. However, pressing the dodge button will allow you to go through it. You can also dodge in the air, so pass the next one, and just ahead, you will find a Computer Mouse, a special weapon. Equip it in your special slot and continue ahead.

You will now face some enemies. Do note that you can use this special ability quite a few times, as it is recharged when you perform normal attacks. Then fall down from ahead, grab both items, and fall down even further. Swim to the bottom left side and go to the far west, then go up.

Pass the red gate, and the lab will be just ahead. However, you cannot enter yet, as you need to find four eyes. Keep going left, attack the Chroma to collect it, then continue ahead. Call the elevator, go up, and the Research Keycard will be right ahead. Go right and up, then open the door you previously could not. To the left will be a wall you can break. Use your whip to pull and then go through it. Ahead will be some Chroma and some health.

Then go right, climb the platform, and once you are at the top, use your whip to go to the left side. Make your way up, then to the right, and you will find some enemies. Defeat them, go to the top left, and you will find an affix called Collapsed Heart Lungs. Ahead, you will find Cheekers, who can upgrade your weapons.
Exploring The Skyscraper Remnants

Continue making your way ahead, and eventually, you will have to fight more enemies. The last enemy can be troublesome, so make sure to keep your distance. Also, do not be too aggressive with him. He even has a combo, so you need to be careful. After defeating him, go right and interact with the gate. It will be locked, so go to the left and make your way to the top.

You basically need to go left, then up, and then right. At the end, you will have to defeat some enemies, and to your right, you will find the Lunch Room Key. Now drop down from the right side and then use that to open the locked gate, and then interact with the terminal to initiate the Signs of Life quest.

Go up, continue making your way ahead, and eventually, you will find a new weapon, the Cell Phone. This is a pretty great weapon, as it deals AoE damage. After that, keep making your way up and to the right, and eventually, you will come across another rest point.

Go up, make your way to the right, go past the red barrier, go up again, and then make your way to the left. Go up the ladder, then to the right, and you will come across another red point. To the right will be another piece of flesh you can interact with to get another special ability, Parry. This is what you need to defeat those vending machine monsters.
How To Defeat The Berserk Executive

Keep making your way ahead, and eventually, you will come across the Berserk Executive. This boss can seem pretty annoying at first, mainly because of the briefcase. It also flies into the air and drops some bombs on you. However, now you have the parry ability, which you can use to parry literally any attack.

Parry his wide slashes and then hit him. You may not stun him with only one parry, but with two, he will be stunned. When the boss is stunned, that is your cue to deal as much damage as possible. Make use of your special weapon, too. Eventually, the boss will scream and throw you away, but it will not deal any damage.

The key here is to parry the boss constantly. You can ignore his first two hits of the combo and then parry the third one. This will stun him, giving you a massive opportunity to damage him. The parry window in this game is pretty simple, so you will not have much trouble.

After defeating the boss, you will get an achievement, and a conversation with Rhem will be triggered. Just ahead will be a Fragment of Suffering, which increases your health permanently. Then go to the top, then right, and use the whip action to continue going to the right.
How To Find Leather Gloves

Keep going ahead, and eventually, you will notice some stairs and many laser cannons. Fall down, then swim to the bottom left, destroy two vending machine monsters, and you will find the Leather Gloves. These are pretty fun, as you can use them to suplex enemies.

You cannot enter the door to your left; an Executive Key is required. Go back down and enter the elevator. Then jump down, and you will fall into the water. At the bottom, you will find an item; grab it, come back, and head to the right to enter another elevator. Ahead will be another rest point, and to the top left side, you will find a Compound Eye, an affix that makes enemies drop more Chroma.

Continue going to the right, and this time you will come across a new enemy. I found him pretty annoying, but he is fairly easy to parry. You cannot hit this monster from the front, so you need to parry him. Parrying will cause him to be stunned, giving you an opportunity to deal damage. More enemies will come, so after defeating them, go to the right, and eventually, you will reach a new area.
Possessor(s) – Fluorescent Park Walkthrough

Once you reach Fluorescent Park, you will face a couple of enemies, and just ahead will be another memory. Once the memory ends, go right, and a new monster will appear. Use your whip to bring it closer and defeat it. Following that, two more monsters will appear. Defeat them, and then one new monster will spawn.
You can stand beneath it to avoid getting hit entirely, but its projectiles can be parried. So, parrying to defeat it is a better option. After you have defeated the enemies, go right, and you will come across Tens. When your conversation with her is over, go right, and you will find a resting point.
How To Get The Dive Breaker Ability

After that, go right and use the whip action to go to the left side. Then break the vines, but note that you will not be able to break them from the other side, so your only way will be up. So, go up, then to the right, and on the east side, you will notice a breakable wall.
You can use that to go back, but since we do not have the required ability yet, we cannot return. The ability is at the top, so keep going up. Keep ascending, and make sure to parry the bombers. The platforming here really is not that difficult. Eventually, you will reach quite high and come across a memory. Then go left and use the big leap to grab the roots of the red flower to go even higher.

Eventually, you will come across the same type of vines you broke at the start. Again, you will not be able to break them from the other side, so break them and head up. You have to be extra careful in this section, as if you die, you will go all the way back to the rest point, and that would really be a drag.

So, break another vine to your left and keep going in that direction. Just ahead will be another tree-shaped flesh that will give you a new ability, Dive Breaker.
Go Back To The Ground

To the right, you will see a breakable wall, so use the Dive Breaker ability, go down, and replenish your health. Keep going down, and eventually, you will reach the lowest level, then go to the right.

Ahead will be Chroma Trader Nola. You can buy several affixes and other items from him. Buy anything you want, and then make sure to go back and rest to recover your health. After that, go right and fight some enemies. Now, there will be a new monster that can be pretty annoying. Make sure not to go into the water and fight it on land.

Keeping parrying its long-ranged attack is a good strategy, but fighting in close quarters is faster. Since it is pretty slow and has literally only one attack in close range, fighting it while staying close seems like a better strategy. However, do not get caught by its grab, as that deals a lot of damage. Once you have defeated it, go to the right and use the Dive Breaker ability.

Then, activate the rest point to your left and continue going right. You will find Tens here again. Go to the right, and eventually, you will come across a station. Keep going left, and you will find Tens’ house. She wants you to hunt down Sightless All-Star.
How To Find The Sightless All-Star

Outside of Tens’ house, open the map, and you will see a star above. That is where the Sightless All-Star is. Simply go right, go up, and then go left. The platforming isn’t that hard, and finding your way is pretty straightforward. You can also fight the enemies along the way, as just before reaching the target, you will find a rest point.

When you reach the rest point, interact with it to recover your health, and then head to the left. The Sightless All-Star uses a baseball bat, and honestly, he isn’t that difficult to defeat. His swings are wide and have range, so make sure you don’t get caught in them.

Parrying his second swing is a better option, but many times I managed to parry both swings with a single parry input. This will stun him, giving you a huge opportunity to deal damage. He will also throw a baseball toward you, which can be parried easily. Another variation is him throwing the ball into the sky, and it will spawn above you.

The attack you need to be most careful of is when he goes to the top left or right side (he will do both one by one) and throws three baseballs at you. Then he will throw three baseballs into the air, all of which will spawn above you. Then he will teleport near you and perform two giant swings. If you get caught in his combo, it is game over, and you will have to fight him again.
Once you have defeated him, go to the top left, and you will get a baseball bat, a new weapon that you should equip.
Return To Tens

Now go to the left, and when the path ends, fall down and then head right. This path will lead you back to Tens, so talk to her. You can talk to her again, and now some dialogue options will appear. If you choose “Do you need any other help?”, a new quest, The Ones That Got Away, will be triggered. With this, the part one walkthrough of Possessor(s), which includes Buried Streets, Skyscraper Remnants, and Fluorescent Park, comes to an end.
