Possessor(s) is a side scroller where you are free to go anywhere in the game. You can explore any area, but, of course, some places will be inaccessible until you obtain a certain item or skill. You can unlock different abilities throughout the game that help you progress.
However, there is one particular location that is easy to miss, and that is the Abandoned Mall, where you can find the aquarium key. I have already explained how to get the key in Part Two. So here, I will provide you with a walkthrough for the remaining areas, including Aquarium, Sunken City, Rusted Dockyard, Inverted Plaza, Research Lab, and Purgatory, in Possessor(s).
If you wish to know more about the game, head over to its Steam page.

Possessor(s) – Aquarium Walkthrough

Now that you have the key, head back to the Aquarium and go left while defeating the enemies. Eventually, you will reach an area surrounded by water. Dive to get an item and restore your health. After that, head left and make your way to the top right side by using some parkour and whip action.

Then keep going right and fight more enemies. After that, head right again, defeat the enemies, interact with the terminal, and the whale will start to rise. Use your whip to go up with the whale. Then use the whip action to reach the upper left side. Pull the wall with your whip, and ahead you will find a demon.
If you give him your Chroma, you will start the Down The Drain, Up The Tower quest. Continue to the left, and you will come across a resting spot. Head further left, and a boss fight will be triggered.
How To Defeat The Three Sisters

I didn’t find this boss difficult at all, but it can prove troublesome if you are not careful. You need to watch out for its slams and the follow-ups. It may not seem like the sisters can chain an attack, but they can. However, most of their attack trajectories are visible, so you can dodge them easily.

While their attacks are usually easy to avoid, if all three sisters perform the same move at the same time, it becomes very annoying to deal with. You also need to be careful with their slam attacks, as they have an AoE effect on impact and can include a follow-up (though they will not follow up every single time).

Another attack you need to be wary of is the orange bombs. They will spawn many small orange bombs that only explode when they touch you. They will be scattered throughout the arena, so the best way to deal with them is to parry. Also, when one of the sisters, or the last remaining one, descends and begins charging an attack, do not go near her.
You need to stay back and dodge the initial wave, as the rest of the attack will be close-quarters AoE. After the attack, the boss will remain still for a moment, giving you the perfect chance to finish the fight. After defeating The Three Sisters, you will receive the Zoo Lockdown Key.
Exploring The Aquarium

Now, go left and fall down from where you can see the wooden ladder. Then head right, fall down again, destroy the planks to your right, and you will find the map for the Aquarium. Now head left, and you will find the demon again. Go ahead, and you will notice a red root. You cannot go up from here because the path above is blocked. However, you can explore the left area for some items and an optional boss fight.

When you are done, go right and head up the stairs. From the Three Sisters arena, keep going left and then go up the red root. Once you are at the top, go left, fall down, and the demon will be there. You can take some lessons from him and then head left. Shortly after, you will come across the Zoo King.

After talking to him, you will have to fight some enemies. When you are done, head left, and a pig will be there. From there, go up and take a right. Then go up and make sure to use your map because you need to head to the eye. Use the terminal and the whale will rise; use your whip to go along with it. Then, from the left, go up the root and keep climbing. To the right will be a resting spot, and ahead will be a boss fight.
Enter the area, and you will have a conversation with the Zoo King. Fight some enemies, and you will talk to the Zoo King again. You will get two options; I chose “I’m not going to kill you.” After that, a boss fight with a demon will be triggered.
How To Defeat Tygo

Tygo is perhaps the hardest boss I have faced so far in Possessor(s). He hits like a truck and has many moves in his arsenal. He starts the fight with what seems like a slam, but he will not actually smash into the ground. Then he will use his wings to create a gush of air that restricts your movement while throwing bombs.

The attack you need to be most careful of is the beak strike. He will perform three beak strikes, and each one does a lot of damage, so make sure to dodge them. He can also fill half of the arena with bombs that explode on hit, although they will explode on their own after a while. Tygo also has a different variation of this attack where he fills almost the entire arena with bombs, leaving only the middle safe.

Another attack to watch out for is when Tygo picks up a piece of the ground and throws it toward you from above. If it hits the ground, it will break into smaller pieces. On another impact, those pieces will break into smaller fragments, so be careful.
Also, be mindful of his leap attacks. After defeating him, you will get the Eye of Tygo. Then go right for a memory and an Executive’s Key. To the right, there will be a station. Interact with it and then go right to reach the entrance of the Aquarium. Continue right to the station, where you will meet Dessa.
Head Back To The Sunken City

Use the station to fast travel to the Sunken City, then head right. Now you can open the door you could not before, so keep going right and fall down. Activate the resting spot, and use your sliding ability to continue right. There you will find a Chromatic Carbuncle.
After picking that up, go up and then left. Dive into the water, go right, and then continue going down. Grab the Bioluminescent Plant on the right and then head further down. Pick up another Chromatic Carbuncle on the left and then go right. Climb up from the far right side, take the ladder, and then head left.

Fall into the water again and go left from the bottom to reach the other side. Now go up and destroy the flesh blocking your path. Go back up from the right side and climb the ladder, as the path is now open. Keep going up and activate the resting point to the left. After that, go right, and eventually you will reach a terminal. Interact with it to open the gate. There you will meet Clara.
Exploring The Sunken City

After the dialogue is over, go down and slide to the left. Keep heading down, and eventually you will enter the water. Go down and take a right. Continue going right, and you will notice an orange light coming from above. Head toward it. While in the water, use your map to improve your traversal.

Now go up, and you will find the HVAC Key. Keep going up, and you will find a special weapon, the Bowling Ball. Then go up, open the door to your left, and ahead you will see another resting spot. From there, go right and head up. Climb the ladder and continue heading up.
Use the whip action to reach the left side, and then use the jumping pad to go further up to the left. Keep going up until you need to use your whip to enter the room on the right. Go right from the upper side, and you will receive a Fragment of Suffering and encounter an NPC. Head right, and a boss fight will be triggered.
How To Defeat Nightmare

This is the second time Nightmare has appeared to fight you. Fighting her this time should not be difficult, as all of her moves will be the same. She runs away a lot, so make sure to deal as much damage as possible whenever you get the chance. Her attacks do not deal much damage, so do not worry too much about getting hit.
After defeating Nightmare, go down the space you see in the middle. There, you will find a new weapon, the Hockey Stick. Then go right to activate a resting spot and head left. Now that you have a new weapon, go back the way you came.

Head all the way down, and when you reach the wooden ladder, go down and then head right. Go down, as there are some planks on the ground that you can break. After going down once, head right, destroy the planks, and continue through there. If you go down after destroying the left planks, you will find a Fragment of Suffering.
Keep falling and then go right. You will find an NPC, Pondscone, and a resting spot.
How to Get The Wall Run Ability

From here, go right, and you will notice two swinging mechanisms. Defeat the enemies around, as they can make your progress difficult. Once they are defeated, climb up to the left mechanism. Then use the whip action to go right and use the flower root to climb up. Once you reach the top, go left, and you will find Clara. Fight a couple of monsters, then go left to obtain the Wall Run ability.

Run up the wall to your left, then head left when you reach the top. There you will find another NPC. After talking to him, you will receive the Sinkhole Key. Then go left, fall down, and destroy the flesh on the right side. Interact with the elevator in the middle to go down.

After that, head left, fall down, and go right to meet Clara again. Fight some monsters, then continue right to trigger a boss fight.
How To Defeat Moja

The next main boss you need to defeat is Moja. Most of its attacks start with a dash. It can also perform the Wall Run ability, and if you are in the way, you will get hit and take damage. Make sure to either parry or dodge. I recommend parrying more in this game, as you can parry almost every single attack. However, do note that you can’t parry Moja’s sprint attack.
The attack you need to be most careful of is when Moja climbs to the left side of the wall and shoots a laser toward you. Run toward Moja and use the Wall Run ability to avoid getting hit. Moja can also jump from a wall toward you and throw bombs, so be ready to either dodge or parry.

It can also perform the laser attack while on the ground, and even if you move in the opposite direction, Moja will change its aim. I did not find this boss very challenging, as its moveset is not very complicated. You should not have much trouble with it either. After defeating Moja, you will receive the Eye of Moja.

Fortunately, there is a shortcut to getting back. Go up from the elevator and then head left. Destroy the objects, then pull the wall with your whip. Ahead is the Central Business District station, which you can use to go to Rusted Dockyard.
Head Back To The Rusted Dockyard

Now you need to head back to the Rusted Dockyard and open the door that you previously could not. You can see a lock mark on your map. However, if you have not visited this place, you can check out my part two walkthrough of Possessor(s). That will help you reach the locked door.

Once you are there, open the door, go right, fall into the water, and go left. Head up, and to your right, there will be a terminal. Interact with it to unlock a path. Now go back and head down the path you just unlocked. Keep going down, and once you reach a dead end, head right.

The water pressure will push you down, so from there, head left, and you will find a resting site. Go left again, and before reaching the big green enemy, jump into the water and let the pressure take you down once again. Keep going down, and eventually you will reach the ground. From there, go left, and you will find the Water Dash ability.
Now go right, fall into the water, and use this ability to break the wall to your left. Use the water stream to go up, then head right, and you will find a memory. Keep going right, and you will face an optional boss, Dr. Michaels.
How To Defeat Dr. Michaels

Dr. Michaels is one of the bosses on the bounty list that Tena wants you to defeat. He is not that difficult to deal with. You just need to be careful when he is charging an attack. Pay attention to the trajectory of the attack and dodge or parry accordingly. The move you need to be most careful of is the hand slam combo. He will slam his octopus hand around five times, and getting hit by this combo can be lethal.

Also, when he strikes his hand downward, it may look like it is stuck, and you might think it is an opportunity to deal damage. However, that is not the case, as multiple attacks will come from below, so make sure to run. Once you have defeated him, go right and grab the Painkiller Capacity.

Then keep going right while heading up. Once you reach the ground, go left and continue going up until you reach the resting point. From there, jump into the water to the left and use your Water Dash ability to break the wall. Then go up using the water current and enter through the space you see to your left.
Exploring The Rusted Dockyard

Go ahead, use your whip to move the object, and head left to destroy the flesh (failed possession). After destroying it, use the whip action to go to the right, as the path is now open. Destroy another flesh and then go left. Keep going left, and eventually you will reach a dead end.

Now you need to use your dive ability to go down. Once you are at the bottom, head left, and you will have to fight some enemies. After defeating them, continue west, and you will come across a memory. Keep going left while fighting more enemies, and then you will reach a resting point.
From there, use your Wall Run ability to reach the other side. Keep going left (keep in mind that the water in this area is toxic and deals damage), and you will have to fight more enemies. Further west, you will find another resting spot. From there, go left, and you will come across Renzo, and a boss fight will be triggered.
How To Defeat Renzo

Renzo will initially seem like a gimmick boss, as he does not do much. Just stay above him and deplete about half of his health bar, which should be very easy. However, after that, he will move to the ground. While he still does not do much, you need to be careful because his minions are also mostly on the ground.

Shortly after, Renzo will run away again and unleash a deadly attack. He will launch tons of bombs toward you, and you should not run from them. Parry the bombs, especially the big one. When you deplete around 70 percent of his health, his second phase will begin, and this is where things get difficult.

He will throw many bombs toward you, and there will be multiple monsters attacking you. This part can feel overwhelming, but simply spam dodge and get to the other side. Stay close to Renzo, and whenever he throws a bomb, move to the other side and keep attacking.

After defeating him, you will get the Eye of Renzo. You now need one more eye to open the lab. Head left to go back, and on the way, you will meet Dessa. Then return to the station and this time go to the Skyscraper Remnants.
Head Back To Skyscraper Remnants

On the map, you will notice a lock symbol above. Go there and open the door. Use your wall run ability to reach the top, then jump right and use your other ability to swing upwards. Next, go left and up, and you will enter the Inverted Plaza. Go right from there, and you will come across Dau.
Make your way to the right while heading up, and after jumping across some platforms, you will reach a root of flesh. Go right from there to obtain the Air Sprint ability. Continue right and use this ability to reach the other side. Keep moving right and make sure to use this new ability, as it is necessary in this area.
Possessor(s) – Inverted Plaza Walkthrough

Eventually, you will have to fight some enemies. After that, go right, use the wall run ability, head left, and use your whip to cross the area. There will be a memory ahead, so keep going left. Use your whip, then Air Sprint, and whip again to reach the other side. Destroy the flesh, go down, and then left.

Keep moving left, fight the enemies, and head left again. Then, make your way up by jumping across the platforms to the upper-left side. You will meet Dau again, so head up and then left. Use the platform to go up, then head right. Defeat the enemies and continue following the path to fight even more monsters.
Once defeated, head right and go up. There will be a resting spot to the left. Head west, and a boss fight will be triggered.
How To Defeat Dau

Dau is fast and has the longest combos of any boss you’ve fought so far. You’ll need to keep your distance when she charges her claws. If you can parry, that’s perfect. However, keep in mind that you can’t parry every single move in this game, especially the charged attacks.

You can’t parry Dau’s charged slam, so make sure to dodge that one. When she creates afterimages in the air, follow the real one. This way, you’ll only need to dodge one attack. After you’ve taken about 50% of her health, she will transition into phase two.

In this phase, she becomes more aggressive, and there will be more afterimages. When she charges her claws, run and dodge. You can still parry, but the timing is much stricter here. If you get caught in the combo, it’s game over. In the second phase, there will be two slams, and the second one will have an AoE effect. You can avoid it by performing an air sprint. Once you defeat her, you will receive the Eye of Dau. It doesn’t matter if you kill or spare her; you’ll still get the eye.
Now, head left and keep going until you reach Buried Streets. Eventually, you will come across Kaz.
Possessor(s) – Head Toward The Lab – Research Lab Walkthrough

From Kaz’s dead body, head toward the lab and scan the four eyes. Once you’ve done that, Dessa will hit Luca, and you’ll be sent to a different location. From there, head right, and you will have to fight Nightmare. The first half of this fight will be almost identical to your previous encounters with her.

However, the second half will have some new additions. There will be a phase transition, and Nightmare will perform a much longer combo. You can parry it, but I recommend dodging instead. Most of her attacks will be the same, but a few of the combos will have an AoE effect at the end.

She will also use a new attack where she throws a lot of purple bombs at you. These bombs deal significant damage, so make sure to dodge them. After this attack, Nightmare will be vulnerable for a while, so use this opportunity to finish her off.
Once defeated, head right, and Rhem will be there. At the end of the conversation, you will be given two options: either to kill him or to save him. I chose to save him.
Head Inside The Lab

Now it’s time to enter the lab. Head left and activate the elevator. This might be the longest elevator ride you’ve ever taken, but hang in there. Once you arrive, head right. Go up the platforms, use the wall run ability on the left side, jump to the right, and perform a whip action.

Next, use the whip to pull the wall, then head right and fall down. Follow the path ahead, go down again, and when you fall into the water, head left. You’ll eventually come across Dessa. From there, go left again, enter the water, and head down and right. After the water current takes you down, go left and fall further.

Here, you’ll need to fight some enemies. Afterward, head left, then right, fall down, and you’ll find a resting spot. From there, go right, and Dessa will confront Luca, throwing him into Purgatory. Head left, and now you’re ready to face the final boss: Dessa.
Possessor(s) – How to Defeat Dessa – Purgatory Walkthrough

Dessa is arguably the hardest boss in Possessor(s), but in this walkthrough, I’ll explain exactly how to defeat him. He can definitely be a pain, but understanding his moveset isn’t too difficult. I managed to defeat him using just three heals, without upgrading my weapons, and my weapon didn’t even have an affix. So, if you can just learn his moveset, this fight will be a piece of cake.

My strategy was to hit him four to five times before he performs his AoE attack that covers the entire arena. After that, when he throws bombs toward you, dodge and make your way toward him. Once that attack is over, he will be vulnerable, so deal as much damage as you can.
When Dessa moves to the left side, dodge the ring attack and wait for his three black balls to appear. Dessa won’t take any damage until those balls are destroyed. You can attack him to break them, but be careful; when you get close, Dessa will hit you with a shockwave, and one of the balls can hit you, dealing tremendous damage.

The key is to get close, then dodge away to bait out his shockwave, and then strike him. The balls will follow you, but you can dodge them fairly easily. Repeat this strategy two more times, then deal as much damage to him as possible.
Also, be very cautious when Dessa goes up and shoots lasers from his hands; he will do this attack twice in a row, so make sure to dodge accordingly.
Phase Two

Once you have dealt some damage to Dessa, he will transform into a ball, and this is where the fight gets serious. He will spawn numerous small bombs and launch them toward you. Then, he will charge directly at you, and getting hit by this move is instant death. The safest approach here is to parry. The timing isn’t too strict, and if you successfully parry, Dessa will fall, giving you an opportunity to deal damage.

Repeat this process a few times, and he will transport you into another dimension. His attacks remain largely the same, but instead of the black balls, there will now be rings. The new danger is that when a ring is hit, it explodes, creating an AoE attack, so be careful when striking them.
Once you have defeated Dessa in this phase, some dialogue options and a cutscene will play, marking the end of the game. That is pretty much it for the Possessor(s) walkthrough part three, including the sections, Aquarium, Sunken City, Rusted Dockyard, Inverted Plaza, Research Lab, and Purgatory.
That’s it for my walkthrough of Possessor(s)! I hope this was helpful to you in some way. Thanks for reading!
