Prologue

The Beginning

pragmata walkthrough

The game begins with a cutscene as Hugh arrives at the Lunar Colony “Cradle” with his crew. After the cutscene, start walking forward.

pragmata walkthrough

You’ll soon find two of your crewmates on the observation deck. Head toward them to trigger a short cutscene.

pragmata walkthrough

Afterward, turn left and follow the path. You’ll spot James on the upper level.

pragmata walkthrough

Use your Thrusters to climb onto the cargo and go around the room to reach the upper level.

pragmata walkthrough

Move along the passage and catch up to James to trigger a cutscene.

Making a New Friend

pragmata walkthrough

The cutscene ends as a Walker attacks Hugh. Shoot it with a few rounds of your Grip Gun. Needless to say, that doesn’t do much.

pragmata walkthrough

Luckily, the little girl who just saved you comes to the rescue once again. This will be your first look at the Hack mechanics in the game.

pragmata walkthrough

Guide the cursor through the blue nodes and then land on the green EXE note to execute the Hack and place the Walker in the Open state, turning it vulnerable to your weapon. Later on, you’ll unlock different modules and nodes that will make your hacks more effective against enemies.

After taking down the Walker, Hugh gets a call from James, but it’s clear that they are under attack.

Finding a Safe Haven

pragmata walkthrough

Once the conversation ends, head toward the door and interact with the panel.

pragmata walkthrough

Aim at the panel with your weapon to open the Hacking Matrix and press the prompt button to rotate the circuit and unlock the door.

pragmata walkthrough

Head in through the door and interact with the medical station to gain a Repair Cartridge. This is your main way to heal when you’re out on missions.

pragmata walkthrough

Go to the door past the medical station to trigger another short cutscene. The girl will point out a Tram that you can use as a way out.

When the cutscene ends, drop to the platform below you and start heading toward the Tram.

pragmata walkthrough

As you move along the walkway, a Walker will ambush you. Take it down.

pragmata walkthrough

Aim your weapon at the panel on the cargo and rotate the circuits to open the way forward.

pragmata walkthrough

You have to fight past two more Walkers and hack another cargo to get to the Tram.

pragmata walkthrough

Enter the Tram to trigger a cutscene as Hugh and Diana head toward the Shelter.

The Shelter

pragmata walkthrough

When the cutscene ends, walk toward the door. You’re now at an Emergency Shelter. Head inside to trigger a cutscene.

The Shelter serves as your main base in the Lunar Colony, where you can manage your upgrades and loadouts. It is currently at Level 0. At this point, there’s not much to do here apart from talking to Diana.

pragmata walkthrough

Doing so will increase your relationship with her to unlock different interactions with her.

pragmata walkthrough

The Firmware Updater allows you to upgrade your Suit, Primary Unit, and Hacking using Upgrade Components.

The Unit Printer lets you acquire or upgrade different items like weapons, hacking nodes, or even enhance your abilities using Lunafilaments.

pragmata walkthrough

There’s also an Outfit Storage where you can find and equip your Pre-Order or Deluxe Edition outfits for Hugh and Diana.

pragmata walkthrough

As you upgrade The Shelter Level, new elements will get added to the room. When you’re ready to move on, head to the Tram and go to the Generator Entrance of the Solar Power Plant.

Solar Power Plant

Generator Entrance

pragmata walkthrough

When you reach the Generator Room, Hugh notes that the power is out. Go left first to pick up an Upgrade Component. Then continue through the main door.

There are two doors in the area, but both of them are locked until the power is restored. Check the screen up ahead. Diana will tell you that there’s a power switch nearby.

pragmata walkthrough

Head left along the passage. You’ll get a tutorial pop-up after which the Scan function is unlocked. You can use it to track your objectives. Go to the marked door and head through.

At the end of the passage, you’ll spot a panel. Hack it to turn the backup generators on. But to restore full functionality, you have to reboot the main power terminal on the top floor.

pragmata walkthrough

Turn around and start walking back to the first room that you entered when you arrived. A Walker will ambush you along the way.

Use Midair Dodge to get past the lasers in the corridor.

You can hack one of the doors in the first room now that the power is on. Inside, you’ll be able to play a hologram and open a chest containing the Repair Kit Attachment item.

Exit the room and head through the second door in the area. Take down the Walker that ambushes you as you walk toward the door.

Walk along the passage and turn right to spot a strange barricade at the entrance of the Test Module 0058 room.

At the other end of the passage, there’s a door with two locks. You’ll have to fight a small flying drone called the Watcher.

To unlock the door, you need to hack two terminals. The first one is inside the small room on the left. You’ll also find an Upgrade Component here.

The second terminal is near the locks to the right. Head through the door after hacking both terminals.

Move along the passage and drop to the lower floor. As you head toward the door, you’ll get ambushed by two Walkers and a Watcher. Take them down to lift the lockdown.

Head through the door to find your first Escape Hatch. Escape Hatches serve as fast travel points that let you return to the Shelter. But using them also causes the enemies to respawn. Activate the Escape Hatch and return to the Shelter if you need to upgrade your equipment.

Power Distribution Center

When you’re ready to move on, head through the door toward the lasers. Turn left as you go down the stairs.

You’ll spot five locks on the door up ahead. Sprint toward the laser and jump over it as it starts traveling towards you. Don’t forget to pick up the Upgrade Component along the way.

Hack the power terminal on the right to deactivate the lasers on your left. You’ll have to hack four more terminals to progress through the area.

Jump down to the lower level through the path you opened up and pick up the Shockwave Gun. You’ll also spot the second terminal above you to the right.

But before you can hack it, you’ll be ambushed by a bunch of robots. This will also be the first time you encounter a Crusher. Take them down and hack the terminal.

Take the nearby elevator to head up. Use Scan to spot the third power terminal. But you’ll have to fight past a Watcher and a Walker to reach it.

Hack the terminal and then return to the platform where you fought the Bots just now. Head left and look down to spot the fourth power terminal.

Hop down and pick up the Stasis Net Weapon. Then hack the power terminal. Only one left to go.

Turn left and enter the corridor through the yellow barrier. The final terminal is right above you.

But as soon as you head inside, you’ll get ambushed by a Crusher and a Walker. Take them down and complete the hack to lift the lockdown.

Go along the passage and turn right for another Upgrade Component. Then head left and walk to the edge. You’ll have to jump to return to the platform with the locked door.

Now that you’ve hacked all the power terminals, you can head through. Pick up the Upgrade Component and hop down to the lower level.

Head toward the room to trigger a cutscene.

There’s a Mini Cabin figure in the grilled bunk area on the left. Shoot to unlock it before moving on.

Head through the door at the end of the room to spot another Escape Hatch. Activate it and return to the Shelter if needed.

NOTE: We strongly suggest upgrading your Suit, at the very least, before going further. You’ll also be able to gift Diana a Read Earth Memory when you return to the Shelter this time.

The Concourse

The main path is through the door marked A2 on the left, near the reception table. However, before you move on, make sure you check out the other two doors in the lobby.

You’ll find a Cartridge Holder, which will increase the number of Repair Cartridges you can hold by 1 in one of these rooms. The other room has an Upgrade Component.

As you move along the passage, through the main path, you’ll reach a room with a giant elevator up ahead. Go forward and turn left to enter a passageway.

Pick up the Decode Hacking Node and continue moving forward.

Take down the Walker up ahead. You can also test the Decode node if you want, but we recommend saving it.

After defeating the Bot, head through the door behind it. You’ll spot a lift on your left.

Ride the lift up. There’s a wall here with a Lunafilament in front of it. Head toward the wall and interact with it to reveal a hidden room.

NOTE: This is a Holo Wall similar to the illusory walls in Soulslike games. These rooms contain optional collectibles and upgrade materials.

Head into the room and loot the area for another Read Earth Memory. Head back down through the hole. Pick up the Upgrade Component before you drop down.

Head into the large elevator room through the open door. Hack the terminal up ahead.

As the elevator begins to go up, you’ll get ambushed by a group of Bots. Hack the terminal once again after defeating them.

The elevator will take you to the top floor of the facility. There’s a ton of loot in the area. Take a moment to go around collecting them. When you’re ready, interact with the computer terminal to trigger a cutscene.

How to Beat the SectorGuard

The SectorGuard is the first main boss of Pragmata. It’s a large-sized Bot that can charge at you to close distance and also fire a barrage of missiles from afar. But fighting it is just like fighting any other Bots you’ve faced so far.

The main trick for this fight is to position yourself behind the boss and hack to Open the fuel cell on its back. This is a major weak point, and hitting it with the Shockwave Gun will deal massive damage to the boss.

However, you’ll still have to play it smart and dodge away from its charge attack. When it’s firing its missile barrage, focus on running away and avoiding the red danger zones in the arena.

After dealing sufficient damage to the boss, it’ll get on its knees and give you an opening to deal a Critical Shot. Go near the boss and press the prompt button to inflict massive damage to the boss.

When the boss’s HP goes down to around half, a short cutscene triggers, after which you’ll unlock the Overdrive Protocol ability. You’ll have to complete a QTE after the cutscene.

Keep the damage up while positioning smartly around the arena, and eventually the boss will go down. You’ll get a Shelter Licence Key along with some Lunafilament for defeating the boss. Pick it up to complete the mission and return to the Shelter.

As you head into the main area of the Shelter, you’ll meet the Cabin Bot. Give it the Shelter License Key to increase your Shelter Level.

Take a moment to check the Cabin’s Stamp Club, talk to Diana, and get your upgrades sorted. When you’re ready to move on, head to the Tram. Our next destination is the Mass Production Array.
