Welcome to the final part of our walkthrough for Pragmata.
After rescuing Diana, the duo must travel to Central Port to put a stop to Eight once and for all.

Central Port Entrance

After arriving at the Port Entrance Station, turn left and head through the door.

On the other side, there are a bunch of dead filament crystals blocking your path. Use Cleanse to remove them and go up the stairs.

You’ll have to fight four Walkers as you reach a platform up ahead.

Once they’re defeated, turn right and remove the crystals blocking the frieghter.

Head inside and hack the terminal near the front.

Halfway along the ride, you’ll get ambushed by a Walker, a Walker Mk-II, and a Lancer. Take them out, and the freighter will start moving again.

You’ll have to fight a Crusher and two Spiders when you reach the last stop. Once they’re defeated, you can get off the freighter. You’ve arrived at the Cargo Terminal Station.

There’s an Escape Hatch here that you can activate before moving on.

Continue past the Escape Hatch when you’re ready. You’ll spot a yellow security barrier in the distance. Head down the stairs.

As you reach the bottom of the stairs, you’ll see a cutscene as a Walker transforms into an Anomalous Walker. We’ve faced these enemies in the previous zone. However, this time, you can use Cleanse to get rid of the dead filaments and revert them to their normal form. Another Walker will spawn when you defeat the first one.

After defeating the Walkers, head to the edge on the right and hack the terminal up ahead. This will draw a container toward you.

Jump up to the container and hop onto the platform on the left. Then head through the yellow security barrier area.

You’ll have to fight two waves of Anomalous Walkers here.

If you manage to get past the two waves, you’ll face an Anomalous Executor. For Anomalous Executors, you need to cleanse them first and then break the glowing crystal by attacking it to get rid of the purple hacking nodes. You have to do this twice.

Go in through the door on the left after the fight to trigger a cutscene where you see Eight talking about a global chain reaction with dead filaments.

Continue along the path and head through the door. Then continue along the path down the stairs, and you’ll eventually reach a large lift. Interact with the panel to head down.

You’ll get a majestic view of the Orbital Elevator, now covered with dead filament, as you go down.

When the elevator stops, turn around and continue along the main path through the door.

Inside, you’ll find a Red Gate Key, a Training Data, and an Escape Hatch.
Research Sector

Head through the door to enter the Research Sector entrance. The area is overgrown with dead filaments.

As you walk forward, the path in front of you gets blocked by more of this stuff. Use the containers on the left to get across.

Take out the Watcher as you drop down. It can easily knock you off the platform.

Use the containers to loop around the dead filaments to reach a bridge. Head toward the large door at the end.

As you approach the door, you’ll be ambushed by a few corrupted Bots. Take them out. After you defeat an Anomalous Executor, a short cutscene will trigger, after which a new enemy will appear.

This is an Anomaly, and similar to the Anomalous Executor, you need to Cleanse it twice and break two crystals to take it down.

Go through the door once both enemies are down and continue forward. The path ahead gets blocked off by more growth. Activate the Escape Hatch nearby. To destroy the dead filament, we need to find its source.

Take the stairs on the left, near the Escape Hatch, to reach a corridor with lasers. Time your movement and get past the lasers as they travel toward you.

Keep moving forward. You’ll see a Red Zone Gate after the lasers. There’s a door up ahead. Go through it.


You’ll reach another filament-filled area. Drop down to the lower floor and take out the Bots that ambush you.

The main path is to the far left corner of the room through the door past the laser on the upper floor. To deactivate the laser, head to the dead filament crystal on the bottom floor marked in the image above and cleanse it.

You’ll find a hacking terminal here that deactivates the lasers.

Go through the door and keep moving forward to trigger another Eight cutscene. Head through the door afterward.

The next room has another group of enemies waiting for you. Take them down to lift the lockdown and unlock the way forward.

As you enter the next room, you’ll find the source of the dead filament. Go down the stairs and Cleanse it to remove the growth in the Research Sector.

Go back up the stairs and take the small side door to get back to the Escape Hatch area. The main path is now accessible.

Keep moving forward along the main path until you reach the next Escape Hatch. This is the Connect Center.
There’s a big locked door up ahead. To unlock it you need to hack two terminals located in the two areas: Area 1(left) and Area 2(right).

Go in through the door on the left to enter Area 1. As soon as you head inside, you’ll be attacked by a Bomber and a Crusher Mk-II. After you get through the first wave, you’ll have to fight four Spider Mk-II‘s.

There’s a hacking terminal in the room that will activate lasers, which you can use during the fight.

As you keep moving, you’ll see a hologram cutscene of people getting attacked by the corrupted Bots. Continue up the stairs and through the door.

You can cleanse the dead filament here to reveal a hole in the floor that you can drop through. But the main path continues up the stairs behind the filament.

Eventually, you’ll enter a room filled with lasers. There are some Bots, including an Executor here.

Take them down and then hack the terminal at the end of the room. This will unlock one of the locks on the large door in Connect Center. Return to the Escape Hatch once that’s done.

Head through the door on the right to enter Area 2. Area 2 is a mess with dead filament covering the entire room.

On the far right side of the room, there’s a locked door. You need to hack five terminals to unlock it. Luckily, they are pretty easy to find. The first is right beside the door.

The second one is above you, near the door at the ceiling.

There’s one hiding behind the blue filament crystal to the right when you enter the room.

The fourth is hidden between two broken wall panels on the wall on your left as you enter the room. Check the image above for the exact location.

Hug the wall with the fourth terminal and go right to spot the final terminal.

Go through the door once you’ve hacked all the terminals, then keep following the path. You’ll reach a room where you get ambushed by more Bots. Take them down.

Hack the terminal to unlock the door in the Connect Center. Take the side door here to return to the Escape Hatch. There’s a big fight waiting behind the door. We suggest returning to the Shelter before moving on to heal up.

When you’re ready, go through the door to trigger a cutscene. You’ll now have to fight a Sentinel, the same bot that attacked you in Experimental Pragmatics as you were fixing up Diana.


Luckily, this time, you have the upgraded Diana abilities to take it down. Use Cleanse to purge the dead filament and open up the Hacking Matrix. Then it’s just a matter of dodging its attacks and dishing out your own. The Stasis Gun is an excellent weapon to bring in this fight to stop the Bot’s movements.

Once the enemy is down, head through the door. You’ll be able to trigger a conversation event with Diana in the next room if you go near the window downstairs, on the right.

Go up the stairs for a cutscene of Dr. Higgins giving you more of the story.

Keep moving up the stairs, and as you reach a ruined corridor, you’ll see another hologram of Eight and Dr. Higgins.

Go all the way to the end of the corridor and through the door. You’ll spot an Escape Hatch on the left up ahead. Activate it. Now we need to make our way to the orbital elevator.
Reaching the Orbital Elevator

Walk forward from the Escape Hatch to the edge and drop down to the path below.

Go past the puddle of dead filaments. You’ll be ambushed by a couple of Bots. Take them down and head through the door up ahead.

Follow the corridor to the end and cleanse the filaments up ahead. There are some Anomalous Walkers in the area.

There’s also a Gunner around the corner, past some dead filament crystals, blocking your way forward. Take it down and head toward the door behind it.

There’s a security barrier past the door. You have to fight a group of enemies as soon as you head through.

Go up the stairs once you take down the enemies on the bottom floor to trigger another gauntlet.

Continue up a second set of stairs to trigger a final gauntlet. You’ll have to fight an Anomaly this time.

Head through the door on the upper floor when you’re done exploring the area and have beaten the gauntlet.

Turn left and go up the huge staircase. Keep following the path as you head toward the Orbital Elevator. There are no enemies here.

Continue walking through the wreckage, and soon you’ll reach an Escape Hatch. This is the final Escape Hatch of the main story. Save your progress and upgrade your items. You’re about to face the final boss.

When you’re ready, head through the passage next to the Escape Hatch to trigger a cutscene.
How to Beat Eight (Idea)

The fight against Eight, aka Idea, is all about timing your dodges. The boss has a wide range of attacks using its tentacles. It will do sweep attacks, stab attacks, and can also charge at you from a distance. With a well-timed dodge, you can avoid most of its damage.
When the fight begins, the boss is covered in dead filament. Similar to the Anomalous enemies you’ve fought earlier, you need to use Diana’s Cleanse ability to remove them. You need to Cleanse Idea twice to remove the dead filament, after which you can use the hacking matrix and expose the boss’s weak points.

For hacking tools, Expose, Freeze, and Decode are your best bets. Since it’s strictly a one-on-one fight, these damage-boosting/controlling nodes will help you keep the boss in place while you get in close to deal direct damage with your Attack Units.
We suggest bringing the Shockwave Gun and the Charge Piercer with you as your Attack Units. For Tactical Units, the Riot Gun and Stasis Gun are great choices. Aim for its head after hacking to deal maximum damage.

Once you drop the boss’s HP one-third of the way down, a hacking mini-game begins as Eight locks Hugh in place. You need to move to the green node while avoiding the red nodes as they fill up to complete the hack.

After this section, the boss gains a new set of moves that deal damage in a wider area. If you see the boss winding up at the center of the arena, run back to go out of range. It will also create explosions throughout the arena. You’ll see danger marks appear when that happens.
The idea is the same as before. Dodge the attacks and use Cleanse to purge the dead filament. Then keep dealing damage to the boss’s weak points.


When close to defeat, the boss will use its ultimate move. You’ll see Idea floating up, and the arena will start to fill up with red danger markers. These areas will explode, creating dead filament crystals. You can cleanse them to clear space for you to dodge.
Avoid this move, and when Idea comes back down, she’ll purge the entire arena, removing the remaining dead filaments.

After this attack, if you try to hack the boss, you’ll see red areas filling up the hacking matrix. Use Diana’s Auto Hack or the Code Generator, if you brought it to the fight, to complete the hack and keep attacking the boss until her health goes down.

Press the prompt button when the boss’s health goes down to complete the fight.

Once the fight is over, Hugh and Diana ride the Orbital Elevator to reach a shuttle that will take them to Earth. A cutscene triggers during the ride.

There’s a final battle where Hugh dons a giant cannon and rides the elevator’s side as the Abiosis, a giant corrupted bot, keeps charging at you. Despite how it looks, the fight is pretty simple.


Hack the bot using Diana’s ability. Then aim the Cannon targeting the part of the bot that’s lit up and wait for the prompt button to appear. Press the button to fire the cannon and stagger the boss.
You need to do this 4 times after which Diana will perform a final hack, and the boss will go down. Enjoy the final cutscene of the game. We will not spoil that for you.
