Primal Planet is a delightfully unique blend of Metroidvania platforming, survival crafting, and pixel-art storytelling, developed solo by Seethingswarm. It places you in the stone-age boots of a cave dweller fighting to protect his family against dinosaurs—and something far more otherworldly.
In this part of the walkthrough, we start exploring the rest of the jungle and level up our abilities.
Swim and run back to Fernstep Glade. You need to level up. So head to the far left to the exit – Fernshade River.
Light a torch from the one burning near the entrance and then light the brazier on the higher level.
Keep moving to the left – pick up the wood, the red berries basically whatever loot you come across till you find another brazier flanked by two waterfalls. There’s another one close by – we need to figure out how to light all the braziers. The water below has piranhas – so be careful when you drop.
Secret Area 1
There is a secret area at the very top.
If you go to the left, you will find the third brazier.
Keep moving to the left and eventually you will find the camp site.
Rest up here.
I crafted cooked meat and upgrade Sino’s Bite damage here.
Painting location
Just on the left of the camp is a painting location .
If you go up the waterfall here, you will find an exit to the left and another area with alien technology. Just below the camp is another brazier, that is pretty simple to light up.
Below here is a giant crocodile.
Drop down and avoid the crocs to get to the map chamber. You need to figure out how to light this chamber up.
Go up this narrow channel up by creating a platform with a spear.
Light your torch from the brazier here on the right and jump up around the waterfall and drop down the channel you just came up on. Use the sinking lilypads to jump across to the map chamber and light it up.

Secret Area 2
If you explore the underwater parts you can find a secret area on the right part of the river. Be careful of the crocodiles and avoid them by rolling away.
There isn’t much left to explore so lets head to the next area.
I went back to Fernstep Glade and built my hut at this point.
