Reanimal Walkthrough – Chapter 5 – Down in a hole

Welcome to our walkthrough for Reanimal Chapter 5: Down in a hole. In this chapter we escape the clutches of the spider boss and collect all masks, coffins, statues and posters. We also complete all the available achievements.

Chapter 5 starts with you hanging from a rope. Swing back and forth till you can drop down on the floor. You will notice you are bound to your partner. Keep close together as you head north and cross over the cars. This isn’t an issue in single player but in co-op if your partner lags behind you will fall through the gaps. Interact with the lamp posts to light up your way. Eventually you will see a giant spider climb up and you need to cross over a maze.

Again, if its AI they will wait for you to get in the right places to start moving. In co-op you need some coordination with your partner. Go through the tunnel and jump over the gap. One of your friends will show up and drop a plank to corss over. You will see a pig run through. Follow it.

Achievement: Creature Comforts

Pet the pig to get the trophy.

Go to the right and through the crack in the wall. The giant spider will show up and pick up your friend. It will regurgitate some dust kids. Run over the bridge and up the stairs. Keep going till you can squeeze through the crack. They won’t follow you in to the sun.

Collectible 1: Poster

In this room, go to the right and pry open the wardrobe.

Squeeze through and you can pick up a poster on the other side. Go back out and sit on the chair on the left.

If you have followed the walkthrough, this should complete the achievement “Take a load off.” Go up the beams and over to the north and through the double doors. A dust kid will attack, just push it off.

Achievement: Lullaby

Play the piano on the left three times to get the achievement.

Collectible 2: Poster

Go up the stairs and take the door on the left to go into the balcony.

Inside, you will find another poster on the left. Go back up and hoist each other over the wardrobe after taking care of the dust kid that jumps you. Go up the stairs and through the door. Cross the balcony and the pipe and enter through the window by prying it open. In this room keep running till you reach a couch with a key in front.

Take care of the dust kid that jumps you and unlock the trap door and drop down. You will be a potato warehouse, Pull yourself out and your partner. Hide behind the box as the spider looks for you. Sneak through to the left and exit the room. The Spider will see you and start to chase. Run out to the ledge and jump over the gap. Push down the pipe and cross over. As the spider shows up again. Keep going through the floor till you reach a closed space for a boss fight with the Spider.

Achievement “Shot through the heart”

If you’re going for the trophy, though, the spider isn’t your priority. During the fight, dust kid enemies spawn in and throw spears at you. You need to defeat 10 of them by throwing their spears back. Do not throw spears at the spider until you’ve killed all 10 kids. If you kill the spider early, the kids stop spawning and you’ll have to restart the checkpoint to try again.

The pattern is simple once you see it. Every time the spider disappears, 2–3 kids spawn and start throwing spears. Pick up one spear. When the spider disappears again, immediately throw that spear at one of the kids. You’ll only have time for one clean throw per round, so don’t rush it. Repeat this cycle until you hit 10 kills.

The spider only spawns from two spots:

• If it comes from the front center, stay far left.
• If it spawns from the left side, move far right.

Once it turns tail, follow it and climb into its mouth. It will spit you and your friend out. This will end the chapter.
