Run Away from the Creature

The chapter begins with a cutscene as Leni gets petrified by the creature. When the cutscene ends, you’re put straight into a chase segment with the creature hot on your trail.

For this segment, continue sprinting away. Jump across gaps to cut your blue trail and slow down the creature.

You will eventually squeeze through a narrow gap, triggering a cutscene. The creature is gone for now. Sophia is on the brink of giving up. Continue moving through the corruption around you.

Continue forward until you spot Minos’ Palace in the distance. Go up the ladder on the left.

Light the brazier to remove the nearby corruption. You will hear soldiers in the distance. They are all trying to reach the palace to escape the creature. If you want to survive, that is where you must go.

Reaching the Palace

With your path cleared, jump to the path past the brazier.

When you try to move toward the second light source up ahead, Sophia falls. You’ll see the creature smothering the flames and petrifying the soldiers in the distance.

After the cutscene, drop to the area below and start making your way toward the palace. This is a stealth section, so make sure you move slowly and hide behind cover when the creature takes its breath.

There are some light sources in the area that will give you a temporary respite. However, uncovered braziers get extinguished by the creature when it breathes. So don’t rely on them too much.

Eventually, you’ll reach an unlit brazier. The main path is blocked off by corruption. Light the brazier to remove the corruption.

You’ll slide down a slope along the path where you’ll have to fight two soldiers.

Take down the soldiers and look for rubble that you can pull down using the Grapnel. There’s a brazier that you can break up ahead to clear away the corruption and open your path forward.

This will take you to another stealth section. Make your way forward, avoiding the creature.

You will soon reach a cave where the creature won’t chase you.

Keep moving forward till you reach a cavern with some enemies. Eliminate them to continue.

Look for a hole you can squeeze through near the upper ledge in the cavern. This is your way forward.

Continue along the path as you reach outside. You’ll see the palace straight ahead.

The path is pretty linear. Just keep going forward, and eventually, you’ll grapple onto a pillar.

Go left and down into a house to fight some more enemies.

Squeeze through the hole in the wall and go forward to see the creature petrify a soldier nearby.

This is the start of another stealth section. You need to make it to the palace through the maze-like area while evading the creature. Thankfully, there is plenty of cover and unlit braziers that you can use along the way.

Once you make it through the area, you’ll spot a zipline that will take you to the palace grounds. There are enemies in the area that you’ll have to fight as you arrive.

After the fight, continue up the stairs and remove the rubble. Enter through the door on the other side to trigger a cutscene as the creature appears.

This starts a chase sequence. Keep sprinting forward through the ruins until you reach a light source.

Exploring Minos’ Palace

After running away from the creature, you’ll be right at the gates of Minos’ Palace. You can hear Minos in your head.

Continue forward and enter the palace through the thickets.

You will enter a room full of petrified statues. There’s not much to do here right now. So continue moving forward along the path.

You will get a glimpse of Theseus’ Memories. Only this time, Theseus isn’t here. You will see Minos speaking with his daughter, Ariadne.

Continue moving forward through the corruption. You’ll see some of the Petrified twitch and move as you get close. Don’t worry about them right now.

Keep moving till you reach a hole on the floor. You’ll see the soldiers below get chased by the Petrified that came to life.

A cutscene triggers after this as you see more of the past.

After the cutscene, drop through the hole. This area is filled with Petrifieds. Similar to the creature, they can sense your presence using the blue trail. As long as you move slowly and stay far from them, they won’t attack you. You can also stay on the light to evade them.

You will have to move through a room full of these Petrified. As long as you remain crouched, you should be fine.

As you go up the stairs, you’ll see a group of them blocking the way forward.

Jump across the gap, and you can see light coming in. Follow the light to reach a courtyard where you see Faro standing. Head toward him to trigger a cutscene.

Defeating Faro

Faro, still stuck on the thought that Sophia betrayed them, refuses to listen to anything Sophia has to say. It’s clear that the only way forward is through him.

The fight against Faro can be tough because of how quick he is. The best tactic here is to wait for him to attack and dodge/parry accordingly. The Mastery Ability that lets you parry Red Attacks can be very useful for this fight.

You need to drop his health bar to zero twice to complete the fight. This will trigger a final cutscene where Sophia refuses to land the killing blow, and Faro agrees to help her.
