Welcome to our walkthrough for Ritual of Raven. It’s a narrative-driven cozy farming sim with one major twist: you don’t do any of the farming yourself. Instead, you’ll use magic to power Arcana Constructs that do the farming for you.
The first part of our walkthrough covers the early stages of the game, from your arrival in the magical world of Lynia to your journey toward the village, where you’ll meet a colorful cast of characters.

A Whole New World
The game starts with you being transported to a magical world through a glowing portal. Once you gain control, move forward, and you’ll be approached by Sage, a witch with orange hair.
After a brief conversation about the world of Lynia and its magical nature, she agrees to take you in as her apprentice. This marks the true beginning of your journey.
You wake up in a cozy cottage with Sage. After a short exchange, she asks you to meet her near the portal.
Once she leaves, exit the cottage and follow the quest marker north.
Speak to Sage near the portal, and she’ll tell you about Flufferstoop, her animal familiar who fell through. She needs your help to reopen the portal and retrieve him.
Open the Book of Shadows from your wheel menu.
You’ll see the ingredients required for the Ritual of Familiar inside the book. Sage also explains that to perform advanced magic, you’ll need your own familiar.
She asks you to meet her back at the cottage. Return south, and she’ll teach you how to use Arcana Constructs and Tarot Cards to harvest plants.
Follow the tutorial and use the Arcana Construct to gather all the Lavender in the area.
Sage will then hand over some Pansy Seeds. Follow the prompts to plant and water them.
Talk to Sage again, and she’ll run off to the Moon Shrine. Head back towards the portal and take the northern path and take the first left to find her.
Speak with her to learn about how the moon phase works in this world.
Return to the cottage and interact with the bed to go to sleep.
The Portal Opens Again
The next morning, just as you’re about to leave the cottage, Sage returns and asks you to harvest your planted pansies and gather wild plants.
Look around the area outside the cottage to find the ingredients you need: 5 Sunflowers, 8 Nettle Leaves, and 3 Lavender Flowers.
Set up the Arcana Construct to harvest the Pansy Leaves and collect them once it’s done.
Talk to Sage again once everything’s ready. She’ll head off to the Ritual Circle.
Head past the Moon Shrine and into the forest north of it to find the Ritual Circle.
Speak with Sage, then interact with the Ritual Circle to offer the ingredients.
Moments later, a black bird will descend from the sky. This is Raven, your newly summoned familiar.
After a brief conversation with your new companion, begin heading back toward the cottage.
Along the way, Raven will start talking again, but a sudden flash of purple light cuts the moment short. The portal has reopened.
Rush to the portal near the cottage. Sage explains that she must go through it to find Flufferstoop. Once the dialogue ends, she enters the portal and vanishes.
Solving The Arcana Puzzle
Head to the wooden bridge south of the cottage. You’ll see a Tarot Card and some white tiles on the bridge.
Touch the Tarot Card to begin a tutorial puzzle. Raven will explain the mechanics.
Use the Move command to guide the Construct so it touches each white tile only once. Solving the puzzle activates a new Arcana Construct for your use.
A New Friend Awaits
Cross the bridge to find Bowie, an NPC standing just on the other side. He mentions his orientation is on hold until the nearby plants are collected. Raven suggests using the Construct you just activated.
Go back to the Construct, and Raven will introduce you to the Sign system, which makes programming easier.
Return to the plants and place a Sign using the Placement option in your radial menu.
Go back to the Construct and use the Field command to harvest the entire plot.
Collect the Chamomile Flower from the Construct’s inventory and deliver it to Bowie.
He’ll toss the Chamomile down a small portal and explain how it converts items into currency known as Sparkly Shards.
Inspect the small portal. He rewards you with a Chamomile Flower and encourages you to sell it at the Sharding Portal (that’s what it’s called). You get 21 Shards for it.
Bowie then asks you to help him purchase a second Spotlight. He gives you some Seeds to grow for extra income, along with a Plow card and more Signs for your Constructs.
To find the Spotlight, he directs you to Pistachio in the village and mentions a few other people, namely Coco, Charly, and Dan.
Buying the Spotlight and Portal Fishing
Head into the Village and look for Pistachio on the western side near a van with the Pistach sign. Talk to him, then open Pistachio’s Shop from the dialogue menu.
The Spotlight costs 30 Shards. If you don’t have enough, gather and sell wild plants at the Sharding Portal to earn more Shards. You can also grow and harvest the Seeds that Bowie gave you to sell for a big profit.
After you purchase the Spotlight, Pistachio introduces you to Portal Fishing, a method to pull objects from another dimension.
Follow the quest marker to the lake’s portal and speak to Pistachio again for a short tutorial.
Interact with the nearby Portal and use your Fishing Claw to grab items from the other dimension.
This will impress Pistachio. He will then return to his shop. You also get 100 Shards as rewards for completing the “Meet Pistachio” quest.
Return to Bowie
You can stick around to fish for more objects if you want extra Shards. When ready, follow the quest marker to find Bowie near the village Tavern.
Talk to Bowie and give him the Spotlight. He’s grateful but now needs help setting up the stage for his Welcome Wagon Orientation.
Follow the marker to the concert site on a small island to the west and speak with Bowie again. He’ll ask you to clean up the plowed turf nearby in preparation of the concert.
Interact with the nearby Tarot Card to receive the Clean Up card.
Use it to direct the Construct over the three plowed tiles.
After cleaning the area, return to Bowie. He’ll need time to prepare, and suggests you explore the village and meet the other characters in the meantime.
