Welcome to the third part of our walkthrough for Ritual of Raven. After learning of Pip, the last Portal Keeper, you need to convince Dan to open up about his sister. But he’s not the biggest fan of Sage and refuses to help out at first.
Understandably, he’s only trying to look out for his little sister.

Earning Dan’s Trust
Head towards Dan’s Diner after he takes his abrupt leave.
Raven will talk more about the mysterious voice you’ve heard earlier. He’ll also mention that to earn Dan’s trust, you need to give him “something seedy” as a peace offering.
Go to Coco and Charly’s tent and talk to Coco. Choose the Shop option and buy the Seedcake.
Once you have the Seedcake, return to Dan’s Diner and talk to him. Choose the “I’ve got something for you!” option and drag the Seedcake to his side of the inventory.
Dan will be happy with the gesture, but will comment that his mom’s Seedcake was better. He then asks you to gather ingredients so he can recreate her recipe.
You’ll need 4 Chamomile Seeds, 4 Rosemary Seeds, and 4 Lavender Seeds. Go back to Coco’s shop to purchase what you need.
Return to Dan and give him the ingredients. Watch the full exchange play out. Dan finally opens up about his sister and allows you to look around her room upstairs.
Follow him to Pip’s room and interact with all the marked objects. Dan will share more backstory as you examine each item.
Dan will then go downstairs. Follow him and he’ll explain that Pip made him promise not to reveal her whereabouts.
Leave the Diner and discuss your next move with Raven outside. Suddenly, the Book of Shadows will start glowing. A new ritual page, “Ritual of Mother’s Memory,” appears.
You get the idea that a pep talk from her mom could lift Pip’s spirits and convince her to come back.
The Path to Crystal Forest
While looking at the ingredients for Ritual of Mother’s Memory, you’ll notice an ingredient called Moonfade Fly Agaric. Raven will tell you that he’ll explain how to get this ingredient and asks you to meet him at the Moon Shrine.
Before you head back, collect the 10 Juniper Berries you need for the ritual. There’s a Juniper bush right outside the tavern and plenty more scattered around the village. So move around the area and pick up Juniper Berries until you’ve got enough of it.
When you talk to Raven at the Moon Shrine, he’ll explain how you can change the moon phase to a waning moon.
Interact with the Moon Shrine and rearrange the three circles so that it lines up to form a waning moon at the top. Press the accept button to shift the moon cycle.
However, for it to take effect, you need to head back to the cottage and go to sleep.
After waking up the next day, follow the quest marker to reach The Graveyard in the village. Raven will already be waiting for you.
Your conversation with Raven gets interrupted as a blue ghost appears out of nowhere.
Once the cutscene ends, head to the glowing mushrooms in the north across the bridge. These are the Moonfade Fly Agaric that you’ll need for the Seedcake. You’ll need three of these in total. As you go to pick them up, the ghost appears again.
This is the ghost of Umbrielle and as it turns out she’s just as friendly as all the other people in the village. She is also the Mysterious Voice that you’ve been hearing earlier. After the conversation ends, collect the ingredients and head back to Dan.
Give him the ingredients and talk to him about the ritual. Dan is happy that you’re trying to cheer Pip up and agrees to take the ingredients to a place where she can find them.
With that he takes his leave again. Go out and talk to Raven. Head back to the cottage and go to sleep to advance the day. After waking up the next day head back to the Diner to see if Dan is back.
You’ll find him waiting inside the Diner. Talk to him and he’ll explain how Pip is still avoiding him but wants to meet you. Dan also hands you a note from Pip.
Inspect the Note and talk to Dan afterwards.
Understandably, he isn’t too happy about this, but still points you towards the drop-off point in Crystal Forest.
Once Dan leaves, follow him to the entrance of the forest.
When you reach Dan, he’ll explain what you have to do to get past the wall of crystals called the Singing Crystals.
A nearby yellow crystal will break revealing the Sing Tarot card. Interact with it to start the puzzle.
Use the Move command to get your Construct in front of each Singing Crystal and use the Sing card. Change the symbol in the Sing card to match the symbol in the Singing Crystal.
Once you solve the puzzle the Singing Crystals will break giving you access to the bridge to go into the Crystal Forest.
The Ritual of Mother’s Memory
Cross the bridge to the Crystal Forest and talk to Dan on the other side. He’ll tell you that the drop point is up ahead and that he’ll go and see if Pip is already waiting there.
After he rushes off, another NPC comes up to you. Her name is Calytrix, and she is an expert on crystals. She’ll go away after introducing herself.
Follow the quest marker to find Dan waiting for you up ahead. Talk to him.
He’ll tell you that Pip has left all the ingredients for the ritual in a box. Noticeably disappointed that Pip hasn’t shown up to greet him, Dan takes his leave.
Pick up the package once Dan leaves.
Raven will start talking with you and eventually Pip shows up in the middle of the conversation.
Talk to Pip and make your introductions. She’ll ask you to meet her at the ritual circle.
Follow the quest marker to find the ritual circle in Crystal Forest and talk to Pip.
Pip will explain that she can’t do the magic anymore because she lost her family staff and asks you to perform the ritual for her.
Place the ingredients in the ritual circle, and a few magic words later, the ghost of Pip’s mom appears.
Watch the exchange play out and talk to Pip afterwards. She sounds more confident than before and asks you to meet her back at her house.
Talk to Pip inside her cottage.
She agrees to help you fix the portals, but for that she will need her staff. The problem is she lost it and wants you to find one exactly like it. She’s afraid that Dan will get angry if he learns that Pip lost her mother’s magic staff.
At the end of the conversation, she hands you a Crystal Seal and opens up a new shop for you. The next order of business is to figure out how to get Pip her staff.
