Welcome to Into Indie Games’ walkthrough for part 1 of Rivage.
The game starts with Miranda Vigneau waking up alone in the abandoned Ares Space Station. With little to no info on what happened or why everyone left, you have to make your way through the halls of the facility, collecting access cards to open new zones as you slowly piece together the mystery.

Rivage features a Loop System where you have to restart when the Power in the Ares Space Station runs out. In this walkthrough, we’ll split up the sections as Loop Goals to help you figure out what to do before each Reloop.
Some of the passwords and codes found in the game can change with each playthrough. The passwords that worked for us may not work for you. That said, the steps to acquiring the right password remain the same.

Loop Goal – Accessing the Pod Bay
Obtaining Miranda’s Keycard
You’ll wake up in Miranda’s Bedroom. Turn right and pick up the page on the table.

Scan the page. This will teach you the basics of your K9 Interface.

Check the computer. Clicking the Forgot Password button will reveal the hint: My bestseller. This refers to the book next to the computer: Stardust. Type in the password and press Enter to log in.

Inspect all the emails and chat logs on the computer. You’ll learn some important information from here.

Turn toward the table where you found the K9 Manual and check the bottom drawer of the cabinet. You’ll find a Disc inside. Pick it up and use it with the blue Disc Player to listen to the recording. It gets saved to your K9.

Head toward the door and turn right to spot the Safe. However, you need to reset it to use the Date of Birth as the password.
When you’re ready, head out to the hallway outside.

A floating cube will appear. Interact with it to listen to the audio recording. The cube will disappear, and a recording will be saved to the K9 afterward. There’s a huge map on the wall that shows you the Floor Layout.

Inspect the container in the hallway. You’ll have to unhook the latch and pull the two handles to open it. Pick up the note inside the container. This shows you how to reset the Safe‘s password to the user’s birthdate.

Return to Miranda’s Quarter and type /000/ as the password to reset it.

The Safe will now ask for the Date of Birth. We already know it from the emails on Miranda’s Computer: 17/10/2435.

The handle around the Safe turns green. Pull it down to open it. The safe has three compartments inside that you can check.

However, the most important item is the ID Card inside. Pick it up and scan the back of the card. You can now access Level 01 doors.

Return to the hallway and walk toward the door at the end of the hall. Click the blue button to open the door. This brings you to the Kitchen.
Accessing the Dock System

As you enter the Kitchen, the floating robot will ask you to take a picture. This is the game’s way to teach you how the Screenshot works. Hold down the R button to take a Screenshot that you can check in your K9 Interface.

Take a quick look around the Kitchen. You’ll spot a Locked Container near the Power Relay box beside the door. Remember this for later.

There’s also a note that shows you the location of three Batteries scattered across the floor for the Dock System. You’ll need to put them in the Pharmacy.

Wth that done, head to the main Kitchen area up the steps. You’ll spot another Floating Cube. Interact with it and listen to the recording.

Turn around to find the panel for the Dock System. However, you’ll need a pattern to unlock the panel.

Head over to the small sitting area in the corner of the Kitchen. You’ll find a note on the table and a circular device. Interact with the green button in the middle of the device to activate it.

This creates a holographic cube floating above the device. You can interact with the handles to rotate the three parts of the cube.

Rotate the cubes so that the lines match perfectly on all sides.

The ceiling of the sitting area gets illuminated, and a pattern appears. Take a screenshot of the pattern if needed. This is the pattern required to unlock the Dock System.

Before you return to the Dock System panel, head to the sitting area straight in front of the Dock System. You’ll find a Battery near the board with all the mathematical equations. We’ve marked it in the image above. Pick it up.

Draw the Pattern you found on the control panel of the Dock System.

Now you can use the Dock System to switch between the Lounge Area, Cultivation, and Robot Area.
Installing the Pharmacy Batteries

Switch the Dock System to Robot Area first. You’ll spot the Emergency Pharmacy panel in the new section that appears.

Head over to the Emergency Pharmacy panel and insert the first Battery. You’ll have to insert two more batteries to unlock it.

The second Battery is on your left on the table next to the computer. Make sure you insert it into the Emergency Pharmacy panel before you move on.

Switch the Dock Station to Cultivation next. There’s a Computer on the right of the Cultivation zone, but it’s locked. Go up the steps to the area on the left.

You’ll find a pamphlet for Locky’s Custom-Made Key and a Locked Chest on the table. The third Battery is right next to the Locked Chest.

Switch back to Robot Area. As you do so, the power runs out in the station.
This is the Loop system of the game. You’ll only have a limited amount of power (4 at the start) to do tasks around the station. Once the power runs out, you’ll have to reset the loop, but we’ll get to that later.

Go back to the Emergency Pharmacy panel and insert the third Battery. Pull down the lever and select Pod Bay Access on the screen.

Take the Pod Bay Access Card and scan the back of the card.
Completing the First Loop

Since there is no power in the station, you can’t go to the Pod Bay just yet. Opening doors requires power, and once it runs out, you can’t move on to any new area you haven’t opened already.
The only thing left to do right now is head to the Storage Room. Go up the steps to the main Kitchen area, and the locked door at the end will now be open.

This door takes you to the Storage Room. There’s a chest here with a note attached to it. But you don’t know the code for it right now
Interact with the Arcade Machine to finish the first Loop.
Loop Goal – Obtaining Level 2 Access (Amaan’s Keycard)
Obtaining the Locke’s Custom-Made Key

You’ll wake up back in Miranda’s Bedroom. Head straight for the Pod Bay door in the Kitchen. When you reloop, you’ll lose any item currently in your inventory, but Scanned Keycards, Audio Logs, and Passwords are saved in your K9.
Open the Pod Bay door using the Pod Bay Access Card. Just click the blue button and the door will open.

You’ll spot a Vending Machine on your left as soon as you enter the Pod Bay. However, there are no Credits, so you can’t grab the Multi-Pass Access Card that’s inside the machine. There’s also the Stock Manager panel on the wall right next to it, but it’s locked with another Pattern.

At the far end of the hallway, you’ll see the Access Card Builder Terminal. You’ll need the card Identifer number to use it.

Head down the steps to your right to reach the Escape Pod area. Interact with the Floating Cube to listen to the next recording.

Open Miranda‘s locker on the right. You’ll find the Locke’s Custom-Made Key on the top shelf of the locker. Pick it up.

There’s also a pamphlet for the Access Card Builder that you can inspect before moving on.
Finding Amaan’s Damaged ID Card

Return to the Kitchen and use the Dock Station to switch to Cultivation. If you forget the pattern, you can always check it in your K9 Interface.
Go to the area where you found the Battery. Take a close look at the shape of the keyhole.

Open the Key in your inventory by pressing Q, and interact with the teeth to rotate them. You’ll have to arrange the teeth so that it fits into the lock of the chest. Check the image above for the correct shape.

Click on the keyhole, and Miranda will use the Key to unlock the chest.

The chest opens, and inside you find Amaan’s Level 02 Access Card. Unfortunately, it’s damaged and you’ll have to repair it.
Rebuilding Amaan’s Access Card

Return to the Access Card Builder Terminal in the Pod Bay and enter Amaan’s Identifier number shown on the face of the Access Card (2665181).

Hit Enter to proceed to the Barcode section next. You’ll have to enter the Barcode that’s on the back of Amaan’s Access Card in this window.

Every three bars represent one number. You can change the top and bottom part of each bar to either black or white to represent a unique number.
For example, the number 4 is represented by Black White Black at the top and White Black White at the bottom.

Unfortunately, the barcodes for numbers 3, 8, and 6 are missing from Amaan’s Access Card. Open the K9 Interface and inspect Miranda’s Card in the passwords section. You’ll get the barcodes for the missing numbers here.

When you enter all the barcodes in the Access Card Builder, it should look like the image above. Click on Print Pass.

Look down and use the switch to open the panel. Place Amaan’s Access Card inside and close the panel.

The power will go out as the Access Card Builder does its work. Pick up the Keycard once it’s repaired and scan the back.
Return to the Storage Room and interact with the Arcade Machine to end the Loop.
Loop Goal – Obtaining the Contactless Access Card
Finding Horizon Probe’s Creator’s First Name

When the next Loop starts, go to the Kitchen and use the Level 2 Access Card to open the door to the Lobby.

Head up to the main area to the right. Also note that the door to the Connector straight along the hallway requires the Contactless Keycard.

Head up the steps and inspect the Computer. It requires a Password. The hint is the first and last name of Horizon Probe’s Creator.

The Horizon Probe in question is on display to your left. Click the placard to get more information about the Horizon Probe. This will give you the first name of its founder: Igor.

Note the yellow circle on the ground near the Computer, representing an anomaly. Stepping into the circle slows down time.

There’s also a Recorder on the table near the circle. Pick up the Recorder and click the play button to listen to the recording.
Finding Horizon Probe’s Creator’s Last Name

Turn toward the second display shelf. But the panel shows that it’s out of order at the moment.

Loop around the back of the display shelf. Pull the handles to reveal the circuit board.

Note that it says Error in the central hub of the board. To fix it, you’ll have to place all five Power Charges on the board.

Doing so removes the Error code and replaces it with the current Voltage. To solve this puzzle, you’ll have to move the Power Charges around so that the voltage reads 12V. The Information Panel on the left shows you the voltage change for each Power Charge.

The correct placement for the Power Charges is shown in the image above.

Interact with the placard on the display shelf to play the audio description. But it’s bugged and plays too fast for you to make out anything. The Jigsaw.wav file gets saved in your K9 afterward.

Stand inside the anomaly circle and play the Jigsaw.wav file from your K9 Interface. You’ll learn the last name of the Horizon Probe’s Creator: Petrov.
Updating K9 with Contactless Access

Return to the Lobby Computer and use the password Igor Petrov to log in.

Click the Network button at the bottom to open the K9 Update window. Click the Update K9 button.

Scan the QR Code that comes up and wait for it to scan and install the update. You now have Contactless Access saved in your K9.

There are some more emails and chat logs for you to check out on the computer before you move on.
Entering the Connector

We still have two more Power left before the station shuts down. So use your new Contactless Access Card to enter the Connector. Simply walk close to the door, and it will scan you automatically before letting you through.

As you enter, you’ll see a fork. The path on the left leads to the locked door of the Laboratory. You’ll need a password to enter.

Go right and interact with the Floating Cube to unlock the next recording.

You’ll see the door to the Observatory on the right that requires the Multi-Pass Access Card.

Go to the end of the passage to find a section with a missing wall. There’s a Recorder right next to the wall that you can inspect.
Apparently, the wall isn’t missing; it’s just invisible, according to Amaan. This seems to be his doing.

Turn left to spot a bunch of soda cans from a brand called Cosmik! This is important. I would also suggest taking a screenshot of the soda can’s SKU and CP number. You’ll need it in the next Loop.

You can also read Amaan’s Journal next to the soda cans.
With that done, there’s no time to do much else. Return to the Kitchen and use the Dock System to eat up the final bit of power and complete the Loop.
Loop Goal – Obtaining the Multi-Pass Access Card
Accessing Amaan’s Computer

At the start of the next loop, head out to the Bedroom Hallway and turn right. Amman’s Bedroom door is down the corridor to your left. Since you have the Contactless Access Card, you can enter the room.

Check Amman’s Computer. The password is his favorite soda, which is the same soda you found near the invisible wall in Connector. Enter Cosmik! as the password and log in to the Computer.

Check the chat logs and the emails. In one of his Chats with Rafael, he talks about software on his terminal that detects writings made with invisible ink.

In Miranda’s chat log, he mentions having the last Chips pack. Miranda needs the CP Code for inventory.

Click the last button on the right in the Computer to open a terminal window.
Installing the Hyperviolet Flashlight

Back away from Amaan’s Computer for now and take a look around his room. You’ll find a page from the Q-Bit Manual Instruction on the table right next to his computer. This explains how to build a source file from the terminal.

You’ll find two more Q-Bit Manual Instruction pages scattered around the room: one on the small table opposite the computer and the other near the bedside cabinet on the right. Read both of these pages.

Listen to the Recorder on the bedside cabinet.

Return to Amaan’s Computer and open the terminal window. Enter the following commands one after the other.
- ls
- build hyperviolet.qb
- copy flashlight.exe miranda.v

Once the process is finished, the HV Flashlight will be installed on your K9 Interface. With it, you can detect invisible writings. Try it around to see the invisible writing on the wall of Amaan’s Bedroom.
Restocking the Vending Machine

With that done, return to the Kitchen and head to the Pod Bay area. Use the HV Flashlight on the Stock Manager panel to find the pattern.

Unlock the Stock Manager panel. Then click the Manage Stock button at the bottom.

Now you need to enter the CP Code of the three items shown on the screen. The first is a soda, the second is a candy, and the third is a pack of chips.
You already have the CP Code of the soda (CP379087) if you remembered to take a screenshot of the Cosmik! soda can in the Connector.

Return to Amaan’s Bedroom and use the HV Flashlight to spot a pack of chips pinned to the wall. Zoom in on it to find the CP Code: CP687575.

For the candy, head to the vending machine in the Kitchen and take out the single candy inside using the code 020.

Pick up the candy and check the back for the CP Code: CP208674.

Return to the Stock Manager and enter all the CP Codes in their correct fields. Click Confirm at the bottom.

Click on the Plus button in the Credit box of the bottom vending machine to add Credits.

Now inspect the vending machine in the Pod Bay and enter 024 into the panel to collect the Multi-Pass Access Card.

Scan the back of the card to save it in your K9.
Checking Amaan’s Locker

There isn’t enough power left to check out new areas. So instead, head down to the locker area in the Pod Bay.
Walk up to Amaan’s Locker to open it using the Contactless Access Card. There’s a Disc inside that you can play using the device in Miranda’s Bedroom.

Check the tablet inside the locker and check the chat logs and the emails. You’ll learn his birth date and month.

To find his birthday, check the fridge in the kitchen. You’ll find a cake celebrating someone’s 60th birthday. That means Amaan’s Birthday is 24/06/2460. You can use this information to open the safe in Amaan’s Bedroom in a different loop.

Back away and use the Multi-Pass Access Card to open the door to the Garage from the Pod Bay. The power goes out, forcing you to reset the Loop.
Inside Amaan’s Safe in the Bedroom (Different Loop)

We checked it out so you don’t have to waste your Power –
Unlock the safe by resetting the password (/000/) to the date of birth and entering Amaan’s Birthday. Inside you’ll find a drawer locked with two custom keyholes. You’ll need two Locke’s Custome-Made Keys to unlock the drawer, which you won’t have access to until much later in the game.
