Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Röki. As Röki is mostly an open-ended puzzle adventure game, this guide is written in a question-and-answer format, so that you can focus on each problem individually. Find out more about Röki at its official website here.

Chapter 1 (Part 1 – Cabin)

How do I get Lars to stop hiding at the statue?

Run to the right side of the screen and pick up the snowball on the ground, at the base of a tree. Use the snowball from your inventory on the statue.

How do I find out why Lars is crying?

Pick up Mr Jotun near Lars’ feet, and examine it in your inventory.

How do I fix Mr Jotun?

Run to the back of the house, near the parked yellow car. Open up the drawers in the shelf near the car to find some glue. Then, combine Mr Jotun with the glue in your inventory. Hand Mr Jotun back to Lars.

How do I prepare dinner?

Open the fridge and get the eggs. Then pick up the bowl on the shelf to the left of the stove. Combine the eggs with the bowl in your inventory to whisk them. Pick up the pan hanging to the right of the stove (you may have to interact with the mouse-hole first before you can highlight the pan). Use the pan from your inventory on the stove. Next, use the whisked eggs from your inventory on the pan.

How do I keep the fire going?

Pick up the log of firewood to the right of the fireplace, and then use it on the fireplace.

How do I prepare for bed?

First, draw the curtains over the window. Next hand Mr Jotun over to Lars (he can be found lying on the floor downstairs). Remember that in this game, you need to personally drag the item from your inventory to hand it over to someone – just talking won’t do. Next, pick up the red book on the footlocker by Tove’s bed. Use the book on Lars.

How do I escort Lars to the outhouse?

After Lars goes downstairs, follow him down the ladder. As before, use the firewood on the fireplace first. Then use the front door to exit the cabin. Next, you need to scare the ravens away. Run towards the ravens sitting on the ground to scare them away. Make sure all the ravens on the ground are gone. Then, run towards the well and you’ll find some pebbles on the ground. Pick them up and use them on the ravens sitting on top of the outhouse. Head to the next part of our Röki walkthrough here!
