Welcome to the Into Indie Games walkthrough for Röki. As Röki is mostly an open-ended puzzle adventure game, this guide is written in a question-and-answer format, so that you can focus on each problem individually.

Chapter 3 (Contd.)

How do I get Tove and Henrik into the Supply Courtyard?

In the Eastern Ramparts, go down the steps along the ramparts as Henrik to find a shovel in the snow. Pick it up, and then run into the Eastern Guard Tower (which will be open to you if you solved the 3-Gibbet Puzzle).

As Henrik, open the door in the centre of the Guard Tower room to find a way back to the Central Courtyard.

In the Central Courtyard, run to the very left of the screen and use your shovel on the dirt around the portcullis leading to the Supply Courtyard to the West.

Now switch to Tove and lead her through the Guard Tower down to the Central Courtyard, and have her interact with the dug-up area. Once Tove is on the other side, use the lever next to the portcullis to let Henrik into the courtyard.

How do I access the Supply Building?

To get into the Supply Building to the West, we’ll first need to operate the sluice. To do this, we need to acquire the gear for its mechanism, which is on top of some broken stairs.

As Henrik, pick up two rocks: one of them is on a clearing down some steps, next to a moss-covered wall. The second rock is near a couple of open crates to the far left of the screen.

Now return to the cart that’s near the gate of the Supply Courtyard. Stand on the cart by running up the short flight of steps and falling on the cart. This will make one end of the cart pointed upwards. Use both of your rocks on the cart as Henrik and stay where you are.

Switch to Tove and have her stand on the right-side of the cart, so that with her weight combined with the weight of the rocks, the cart will stay leaning down on the right side. Switch to Henrik and go left on the cart to pick up the gear.

You can now insert the gear in either of the machinery shafts, but if you use the lever, you’ll find that the gear needs oiling.

To make some oil, switch to Tove and run to the Central Courtyard again. Head over to the Northern portcullis and use the reddish-pink stains on the ground, beneath the gibbet with the trapped raven beast. Here, you will pick up some Oily Seeds.

Use the Oily Seeds with the Mortar and Pestle in your inventory to get oil. Use the oil on the gear you picked up to get an oily gear.

Now run to the left side of the sluice machinery as Henrik (in the Supply Courtyard) and place the oily gear in the empty shaft there. Use the handle next to the gears. This will lower the sluice gate.

Now take the gear off and run to the right side of the sluice machinery, and use the oily gear on the empty shaft there. Use the handle here to raise the water, thereby creating a platform for Tove to stand on.

Switch to Tove and run towards Henrik’s position. Here, you’ll find some bricks that are climbable. Now that the water is raised, Tove can stand on the platform and go into the tunnel, so climb down those bricks.

Once Tove is inside the Supply Building’s lower area, run to the left and pick up an axe wedged into the floor. Switch to Henrik and use the axe on the vines blocking the way to the Supply Building. Once the vines are clear, use the door to get in.
