It’s Just A Nightmare

After everything goes south in chapter six’s end, things between Romeo and Juliet seem better than what we could expect. However, it’s all just a show. From here, you will enter a 2D side-scroller dimension as Benjamin hints that it’s all a nightmare and asks us to “wake up” with the items nearby.
Move right towards the TV and interact with the desk to find a Klista Gate Key inside. If you try to exit the house from the far left door, Juliet will kill you; do not try to leave at all costs.

Interact with the typewriter in the room to your left to receive a command from Benjamin. Here is how you can perform it on all platforms:
- PC: Up Arrow, Down Arrow, Up Arrow, Down Arrow, X, Y, X, Y
- Xbox: D-pad Up, D-pad Down- D-pad Up, D-pad Down, X, Y, X, Y
- PlayStation: D-pad Up, D-pad Down- D-pad Up, D-pad Down, Square, Triangle, Square, Triangle

Repeating this command unlocks the door above the house’s exit; it leads to a bathroom. Head inside, and Benjamin will finally give Romeo a reality check and tell him to find a keyhole to use the Klista Gate Key.
After he escapes the house through the toilet, you will enter a Flappy Bird-esque underwater game where you have to find Romeo’s car. Once discovered, an entire music video segment will begin that feels like a Y2K Fever Dream. Later, at the end, you will find a Klista Gate.

Go through the gate to enter Subspace and end this nightmare.
Exploring The Final Subspace

Unfortunately, it’s the end of the line for Benjamin as he bids farewell to Romeo. Now, use the Space-Time Pharmacy to your right and complete all the unfinished businesses you might have (Upgrades, Bastards, etc.)
Fix the Green Orb to spawn a staircase, and head upstairs to find a Telephone Box. Talk with the Space-Time King and receive an invitation to the top of Subspace Hills.

Continue climbing the hills and defeat all the zombies in your way. Circle around the third floor to find another Telephone Box, and move forward to the next floor with numerous debuff portals.
Fight all the zombies efficiently, as a single mistake on the platforms will drop you at the bottom, instantly killing you. Find the third Telephone Box and listen to Space-Time King’s philosophy again.

As you move towards the next floor, make sure to use the Space-Time Pharmacy to save the game. Before you are able to interact with the fourth Telephone Box, two bosses will appear in the area: Executioner and Giant Skeleton.
This is where your Bastards will come to play. Use them to distract the regular zombies while you fight against the bosses. Without Bastards, the fight feels like a challenge straight from hell itself.

Once defeated, talk to the Space-Time King again and move forward to the next floor. If the crows are pushing you back, use Nebuchadnezzar to kill them immediately. There, you will find the fifth telephone, and the King will invite you to dinner.

Go through the door behind you to find another Green Orb, and fix it to spawn a room along with a ladder. Climb up and save the game before you progress to the next floor.
Meeting the Space-Time King

Interact with another Green Orb and drop down to climb the ladder before you. Explore the area, and then drop down to the platform near the ladder to find a set of three more ladders.
Above, you will discover the Director’s Room. Entering it will trigger an Atari-esque cutscene with the Space-Time King, who reveals himself to be the man hiding in the Nirvana TVs. He’s the director of the Space-Time FBI and the God of Space-Time, or Romeo’s Boss in simpler terms.

It doesn’t take long before SilverSox comes by and reveals that the so-called director is a fugitive; he thanks Romeo, and the cutscene ends.
Reaching The Top of Subspace Hills

Exit the Director’s Room and drop down the ledge. Turn around and continue your way up to the hills to find Juliet and finish this nightmare.
Outside, you will find two Green Orbs that later spawn a new platform. The next area is full of Green Orbs for you to fix; complete it to extend your reach across platforms.

After reaching a hallway with ten double doors, you will find another Space-Time Pharmacy. Save the game and move towards your objective. A cutscene will begin where Romeo kills Juliet, but it’s instantly rebuked as another nightmare.
From here, it’s the beginning of the end as you explore the final sanctum near the giant Klista Gate. Once you reach the top, go through the silver door, and meet with the ‘real’ Juliet.

The confrontation, as usual, is dragged, and she asks Romeo to meet her at the giant Klista Gate. Back in Subspace, gradually run toward the gate as a platform forms.
The Last of The Famous Intergalactic Naked Boss Fight

Romeo self-reflects on his journey and enters the gate. Inside, Juliet brings out her pet to battle against Romeo after their conversation ends.
The Last of the Famous Intergalactic Naked boss relies on its projectiles. If you get too close, it uses its sword to execute a combo on Romeo; keep a moderate distance to dodge every attack it throws at you easily.

Make sure to have your health fully upgraded, as the boss inflicts staggering damage. One wrong move and you will be severely punished. Use the Bloody Summer charges properly, and in emergencies, to break the boss’s poise.
Additionally, you need to keep an eye on its movement. Avoid yellow crystals at all costs as they deal heavy damage, and if the boss charges up an orb on its head, shoot it down.

The boss will gather its orbs and light the whole arena on fire once its HP reaches 30 percent. Don’t have enough Revitalizers? You are dead. To stop this attack, use Yggdrasil’s Bloody Summer projectile to stagger the boss.

Repeat the process, and the boss will die. A fitting finale for a game like Romeo Is a Dead Man, and every loose knot is tied right before the credits roll. But before you are sent to the menu, an epilogue cutscene will complement the conclusion.
