Installing the Interface Module

After the presentation, turn around and walk out of the room. You’ll reach a dark corridor, faintly lit with a blue light. This place is called The Canal. From the entrance, turn left to spot a corridor.

Head into the corridor and continue to the end to reach a large room. You can spot an open hatch that leads into another room.

Before you head inside the vent, go left to the other side of the center wall to find a Wireless Access Point. You can use it to save your progress. The path forward leads to a room with a White Tree.

Return to the hatch and crawl through to the other side. You’ll spot a Breaker terminal here that lets you divert power to different zones.
Choose to activate all three zones that you see on the screen: The Archives, Door Imaging 01, and Door Systems.

Exit through the hatch to see the center screen turn on. Choose the Begin Reboot option. You need the Security Level 01 C.A.T. Interface Module to activate the reboot.

Head toward the room with the large white tree. You’ll spot a door leading to the left. Enter the door.

This leads you to a large room with several locked doors. This is the Reception area. Each door has a name at the top of the door that tells you where it leads. Take a moment to explore the area.

Check the Tape Recorder on the table. Then use the terminal and check all the Email, Diary, and Media entries here. You’ll also spot a narrow passage leading to another Breaker terminal.

Walk up to the Breaker terminal. This lets you divert power to the doors in the room.

Exit the passage and turn right. You’ll spot a hatch on the ground. You can crouch down and move through the hatch.

Make your way through the vent to reach the Reception room. Listen to the Tape Recorder on the table and check the terminal nearby for some additional Email and Diary entries.

Then pick up the Interface Module sitting on the table on the right. You can also check the document beside it to learn what it does.

Use the Interface Module to open the Reception door.
Return to the first area where you tried to reboot the Archives. You’ll need to use the terminal to divert power to the three zones again before the screen turns on.

Choose the Begin Reboot option. Then choose the Enable The Security Interface Monitor option. Aim your C.A.T. Interface Module at the small screen above and activate it.

This time, the operation will go further, but it’ll fail again because the Server isn’t operational.
How to Restore Server Operations

Go to the second Breaker terminal in the Reception area, past the White Tree. Divert power to both the Commons 01 and Commons 02.

Then exit the passage and turn left. Use the Interface Module to open the door to Commons 01.

When you enter through the door, you’ll spot a terminal up ahead. You’ll find some additional Emails and Diary entries here. There’s a small room on your left, but it doesn’t lead anywhere. You can use it to hide later on. When you’re ready, continue down the passage beside the terminal.

In the next section, there’s a door leading to the left, another leading right. Head left first.

You’ll spot a Keypad on the sink on your right. This is important, and we’ll return here later. Other than that, there’s a closed shutter that you can faintly make out in the dark parts of the room. This leads to the Vestibule when you enter the correct code on the Keypad.

Exit the room and continue left, down the main passage. You’ll spot a corpse up ahead with some vines coming out of it. Next to it is Kali’s Locker, and a terminal is located right beside that.
This is another important location for later. Note the keypad on Kali’s Locker. Check the terminal for some additional entries.

On the opposite side, you’ll find a Breaker terminal in a dark section of the room. This lets you open the doors to Commons 01 and Commons 02 – another important location.

Continue exploring the zone. You’ll find a second Breaker terminal along a dark, narrow passage in the wall. This one opens Door Imaging 02, Lift Servers, Door Systems, and Prong 02.

There are a few doors in the zone, too. Before you do anything else, make sure you get a general sense of their locations. The door to the Servers is located near the center, right across the desk with a tape recorder.

Once you’ve identified the key locations, head to the second Breaker terminal and divert power to the Lift Servers. Also, make sure the Door Systems node is powered.
Then go to the Server door and open it using your C.A.T. Interface Module.

Head into the lift and press the down button to reach the Servers. Continue walking forward through the dark corridor till you spot a terminal on your right.

Click the Server button. It’ll fail to boot and ask you to run diagnostics.

Once the window closes, click the Diagnostics button. Click your C.A.T.’s wireless button, the same way you connect to a Wireless Access Point, and wait for the process to complete. You’ll see a list of damaged items. Note down their names.

Walk back to the corridor that you came from, and the lights will turn on. You’ll see a series of drawers on both sides of the corridor.

Identify the damaged drawers and interact with them. This is randomized for each playthrough. For us, the items were: D2, E3, H3, and J3 as shown on the terminal.

Return to the terminal, close the application, and choose Server again. This time, the Reboot will be successful. Press Continue, and you’ll be asked to access the security monitor above using your Interface Module.

Take a few steps back, aim the Interface Module at the monitor above you, and fire.

As soon as you do so, you’ll hear a loud howl. The Entity-A has awakened, and it’s after you.

Run to the elevator and keep pressing the up button until it closes.

When upstairs, run straight for the room with the save point and Archive screen. Once you reach this point, you’re safe.
Unlocking Kali’s Locker

Save your progress, then head through the hatch and divert power to the Archive. Initiate the Reboot process once again. This time it’s successful. You’ll see a dialogue box pop up in the Archive terminal. Press continue.

There’s a single Diary entry in the terminal titled The Vestibule. Read the entry and note the code to Kali’s Locker. For us, it was 0236. There’s also a Media file that you can check out before moving on.

Return to the Reception area and head in through the Commons 01 door. From this point onward, you’ll have to be careful. The Entity – A, an invisible being, will be roaming the halls and will take you down if it spots you. You’ll have to listen for its sounds and hide if you hear it approaching.
Head straight for Kali’s Locker and use the code you saw in the Archive terminal to open it.

You’ll find a note inside with some codes and four Photographs. We strongly recommend taking a screenshot of both sides of the note and all the Photographs.
Finding The Vestibule Keypad Access Code

The Photographs in Kali’s Locker show you the location of four specific spots in the zone. You’ll need to find these zones and use your Ultraview Module to reveal the code.

Check the White Tree in the connecting room between the Archive and the Reception areas.
Enter the Reception room and point the Ultraview module to the left side of the door.

Check the right-side wall when looking at the Server elevator.
The final one is right next to the Vestibule Keypad. Aim at the right side wall slightly above the sink to find it.

Once you find all the symbols, check the note to figure out which number each of them corresponds to. The writing on the note is your clue to figuring out the order of the digits. For us, the Keypad code came out as 4 3 2 9.

Enter the code into the Keypad, and the shutter to the Vestibule will open. Head through.
How to Find the Terminal User ID

Follow the corridor till you reach a long room. There’s a screen on your left, and on the right, you’ll notice a Basin of water.

The screen has the text Alignment Process written on it with a Begin button at the bottom.

Go around the screen to the back to spot a terminal and a Tape Recorder next to it. The terminal requires a User ID code to unlock. Listen to the Tape Recorder.

Then return to the screen and choose Begin. This will ask you to take the Optical Test. Turn right and you’ll spot two doors: the left one leads to the Auditory Room, and the right one leads to the Optical Room.

Go to the Optical Room and choose Start on the screen.
You will be asked two questions:
- How many of the shapes exhibited counterclockwise rotation? (Answer: 3)
- Which item did you see? (Answer: Ball)

Answer correctly to both questions to pass the test.

Head to the Auditory Room next. You’ll also face two questions here once you choose Start on the screen.
- Which sound resonated with you the most? (Answer: Back)
- How did the sound make you feel? (Answer: Unchanged)
Once that’s done, return to the screen outside and choose Start to drain the Basin.

Enter the Basin and crawl to the other side through the small opening.

There’s an ID card on the pipe up ahead. Pick it up and note the User ID number.

Crawl back and head to the terminal behind the screen. Use the User ID number that you saw earlier to access the terminal.

Click Security, then aim your Interface Module at the terminal’s screen and click the Left Mouse Button. This will upgrade you to Security Level 02. You can check the Diary and Email entries in the terminal before moving on.
Escaping the Ward

Exit the Vestibule and make your way back to the Reception area.

Head toward the Breaker terminal here and divert power to the Lift Entrance.

Then go to the Elevator Entrance door in the Reception area and use your Interface Module to open the door. Head inside and use the panel to go to the upper level.

There’s a Tape Recorder that you can listen to on the table as you reach the upper floor.

Go to the other end of the room to spot a terminal on your right. Choose the Initialize Airlock Sequence option.

Use the Interface Module on the screen above to go out to the Lunar Surface and complete the chapter.
